5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: I really like this headset. Music and games sound really good.
It's wireless and gets about 30ft of range.

Cons: They aren't over ear as much as they are on top of your ear and after wearing them for an hour or two they make your ears, but it's not bad enough to lose an egg.

Other Thoughts: Works great for the price.

1 out of 5 eggsDangerous construction

Pros: Decent sound quality, good range, mic muting feature is easy to use.

Cons: Short usb cable, intermittent loss of connection, problematic foam attachment on ear pieces, also caught on fire.

Other Thoughts: This is the 2nd headset of this type that I bought. I was very impressed with the first one except for the intermittent sound loss. The 2nd had problems with the ear foam, more intermittent sound loss, and lost sound completely in the right ear after about a year. Best of all, after more and more problems, the headset caught on fire while in use. The wires short circuited as the charger plugs into the headset and melted plastic and hair together. I take good care of my electronics and there was no reason for this catastrophic malfunction other than cheap parts and shoddy workmanship.

4 out of 5 eggsBest available in this price range

Pros: Work very well. Sound is good for music and talk mp3s. Creative has an audio player called MediaCenter that can be controlled for start/pause from headset.

You can use them while they are charging.

Cons: The charging cord is short. You need a USB extension if you aren't able to sit pretty close to the USB port on your computer.

Completely broke right after mfg warranty expired. I'd still have bought it again if it was available at NewEgg.

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 will correctly get the driver from Creative when you plug them in.

You could hope for better quality. The mfg warranty is 1 year and the pair I had completely stopped working at 12.5 months.

I bought the $10 service plan and that was a good investment. No questions asked and free shipping to send the broken ones in. Within hours of the tracking number reporting that it'd arrived at the location I got a NewEgg gift card for the original purchase price.

NewEgg isn't carrying this product right now so I bought a bluetooth replacement and a few other things. Pretty nice.

The service plan doesn't kick in till the mfg warranty is up. They don't do anything until that has expired. Just so you know what to expect.

5 out of 5 eggsGood inexpensive wireless headset

Pros: This headset possesses great sound (though I am no audiophile), decent range and a high quality mic.
The muting mechanic of swinging the mic up is amazing as I never mistook when I was muted and it great for talking to people in person as they can also see whether you are talking to them or to the headset based on the position of the mic.

Cons: The microphone failed after two years, but it still functions as high quality wireless headphones.
After about a year the ear pads came loose, but nothing a little superglue didn't fix.

Other Thoughts: I believe that the mic breaking is simply due to my overuse of muting and unmuting while talking with people online and in person simultaneously.

1 out of 5 eggsBroken in every way one year later

Pros: It was mostly good while it lasted. Sound quality was rich, calls were clear.

Cons: Broken. First the left ear went out so I got used to listening with one ear. Then the thing refused to synch, making it completely useless. It's also uncomfortable and the charging system is poorly designed.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't buy this thing if the reviews I saw initially reflected the shoddy quality. There's a reason why newegg doesn't carry this junk anymore. Won't buy from creative ever again.

4 out of 5 eggsYes and No...

Pros: Fairly easy to install, decent charging system, batteries lasted for about 10 hours across 5 or so sessions, able to change size of the headset.

Cons: Less than perfect voice recording. I bought these to film gameplay videos for youtube, and there's a slight high-pitch hum in the background. Hurts ears after 2 hours or so of having them on. While it was nice to be able to charge and play, the cable/system included is not ideal. Sometimes took overnight to charge, not the advertised 4 hours.

Other Thoughts: These were on sale for $59.99 at time of purchase, and at that price, they are a decent headset. I bought them ONLY for the voice quality, not sound quality, so they weren't the best for me, but would be a pretty good gaming headset if you're not so concerned with recording your voice to put on the web.

2 out of 5 eggsLasted 6 months

Pros: Loved the wireless while the headphones were working; decent range so long as no walls obstructing; Sound quality was good.

Cons: First, I had static and random beeping with my main computer when trying to use these out of the box. I isolated all the sources of noise per their website but it persisted. However, there were no problems with other computers I wanted to use it with.

Until 2 months ago when the left earphone just stopped working. Threw out the box already so I dont' have a serial # for RMA. 80 bucks down the drain. They also were uncomfortable.

Other Thoughts: Taught me to save serial #s from boxes before I toss them. I don't know if reasonably priced and well built wireless headset is a reality yet.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Gaming Headset

Pros: I'm a huge fan of the wireless, after owning a pair of Ice Mats and Steel Series it was a nice upgrade. Sound quality is fantastic and the addition of side volume control is very useful. Being able to sit across the room and watch movies on my media station is really nice.

Cons: Many people complain that the battery has a semi-short life, but I really like that I can charge it at my desk while I play Battlefield. Other people have told me they are uncomfortable, but I think this might be a personal choice thing. Sure the cups dont completely surround your ears, but I like that and find it more comfortable.

Other Thoughts: A great headset, I bought one on a different (sorry newegg) for $135..... which I recently sat down on on :(. I'm going to order another new one from this site real soon because the price is a steal.

4 out of 5 eggsDied without warning

Pros: I've never used a better headset. This one is dynamite, has wonderful range, and works flawlessly.

Cons: You'd better charge it regularly - it won't make it through 2 gaming sessions without dying - the upside of this one is that you can game with it while it's charging - the down side of that is that the charge cord is a bit short.

Other Thoughts: This one worked great from May 2010 until about a week ago (November 20, 2011. I used it, put it on charge, and when I tried to use it again the headset wouldn't even power up. I presently have an email into Creative Labs - we'll see how responsive they are.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good for the money

Pros: This headset has very good sound quality, and they are very light in weight.
Yes they do sit ON your ears, but after a couple of days you don't even notice that you even have them on.
Adjustable mic is great, flip it all the way up to mute.
Power and volume controls on the right earcup

Cons: After 2 years they are starting to fail on me.
I have a microphone short in the wiring somewhere, and I have to move the wiring or sometimes just touch it so my buddies can hear me on TS.
Sound always works great.
Once in a while when I'm charging them the cord near the earpiece gets really warm and overloads my USB.
I've just recently plugged it into the back usb connector and it seems fine.

Other Thoughts: Well worth the money.
Very lightweight.
On the ear style but you don't even notice it after a couple of days.
