4 out of 5 eggsLike how it sounded.

Pros: Great sound. Directional audio was excellent.

Cons: The foam that goes on top of your head is very thin. If I gamed too long my head would become sore and made wearing the headset uncomfortable.

Other Thoughts: Would probably purchase something else over this, only because of the pain it caused.

4 out of 5 eggsEh, Decent I guess

Pros: I used two pairs of these over the course of 2 years.

Each one lasted exactly one year. The first one had the wire break (Through personal error - although the tension on it wasn't that great). The second one had the plastic on the headset break after about 8 months (Was still under warranty). I took much better care of the second one, as they aren't exactly cheap. Tech Support declined my warranty, saying they only warranty electronically failure with these, not failures in the cheaper plastic they use on the actual headset.

Cons: Tech Support wasn't that great. They declined my rma even though the headset was otherwise kept in excellent condition.

No longer a creative customer. Switched to the Logitch G930 Wireless set for about the same price, and am much more pleased. Have had that headset for over a year, have been quite rough on it sadly, but it looks to be in perfect condition, the surround sound is 10x better, and its 10x more comfortable.

I personally would recommend looking into other avenues for gaming headsets rather than the Creative Fatality branch.

4 out of 5 eggsWonderful sound, okay quality

Pros: Directional sound quality is great.

Super comfy ear cups.

Cups rotate for flat(ish) packing

Cons: Plastic quality is a little low

Where the wires meet the 3.5mm jacks is a little weak.

Microphone doesn't lock anymore, it falls down to its bottom position (slightly below horizontal). This started happened 1.5 years after buying this.

1 out of 5 eggsExtremely Fragile

Pros: Never had a problem with sound quality or the microphone

Cons: I had the headset itself for maybe around 8 months and in the first month it broke in one spot, I thought oh no big deal I'll superglue it and put some duct tape on it and it'll be fine, but after a few months I now have 3 separate spots that are broken, one of which can't be corrected with superglue.
Also, the wire manages to coil itself up reducing length and forcing me to untangle it daily.

Other Thoughts: I'll probably have to invest in a new headset even though I didn't even get a moderate years use out of this one

3 out of 5 eggsabove avg headset...but.....

Pros: volume control and muting very easy by hand.

Cons: the mouthpiece falls off and hangs by the bare wire after about a year. probably will eventually fall off completely. ears get sore after a couple of hours.

Other Thoughts: i would think that the headset would last a couple of years, but quality is average with an above average price.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Headset

Pros: Awesome sound. Easy to connect. Very Confortable.

Cons: I have had several of these over a 3 year period. Bearing in mind that I have not found a headset that can hold up to much minor abuse. (tripping over the cord when leaving the desk, dog getting tangled in it. dropping it). On all but 1 of these that I have had the ear pieces have broken off. The other the removable Mic failed.
On a scale of 1 to 10 1 being treated like fragil glass and 10 being run over by a car I would say the level of mistreatment they endure with me would be a 6 or 7. So be gentle and they will last fairly well.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent sound and comfort!

Pros: I sometimes have to pull the headphones away from my ears to really be sure that the sound isn't coming from my speakers! Excellent quality. I have noticed some reviewers complaining about it being a tight fit but the plush ear phones and fully adjustable head band fit me just fine. The removable microphone piece is very nice, it uses a standard 1/8" plug which could be swapped out for a different mic if desired.

Cons: Could use an adjustable length solution for the long cord but its not a big deal. More often it's better to have too long of a cord than too short!

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that I am pairing my headset with a high quality Creative sound card so be sure you do the same! It doesn't matter how good the headset is if you have a low quality sound card or, heaven forbid, use the integrated sound...

5 out of 5 eggsJust Plain Amazing.

Pros: When I first got this headset, I was dubious of the sale that was being had. I got these bad boys for about $60 a year ago, half price from the original $120 price tag. I must say that I was not disappointed. In fact, I am using this headset as I am typing this, over a year after I first purchased it.

I wanted to wait at least a year before I posted a knowledgeable review, so as to exclude my excitement as a potential bias.

After well over a year, these headphones are still pumping out amazing quality sound at any volume.

Absolutely marvelous for gaming purposes, as every bit of sound (including an enemy's footsteps) can be clearly distinguished from the mass of gunfire and explosions that you may encounter in a game like, say, Battlefield 3 (a game I love and play with these headphones). With these bad boys on, the game sounds are amplified to the point where you can actually feel like you're in the game. I've had moments when a friend walks in and I don't even notice because I am so immersed in the game. Everything sounds real.

That being said, the sound quality when listening to music is also superb.

The cable is quite long.

I love the detachable mic idea, it is so useful when using the headphones to listen to music on an ipod.

It might sound weird, but the leather accents of the earpieces and head band make the headphones so cozy, and after a year of putting them on religiously, I have developed the habit of wearing them even when i'm not using them to listen/play anything, because they just feel right to wear.

Completely durable, despite some other idiotic claims about this model of headphones' failure rate. (Keep in mind that a good 90% of the negative reviews on any product on newegg are written by the few people that are unreasonably upset by their product being DOA or failing at some point in its lifespan). Very rarely will anyone satisfied with the product take the time to post a positive review on a product, but it is almost a given that those unsatisfied with a product will take it right out on the reviews section. I learned this after spending over $1,500 on this website... I know what i'm talking about.

The adjustable head band and swiveling earpieces make it so that it can fit almost any size head.

Cons: None. Absolutely none. Mic quality is good, sound quality is good, it looks great... what more can you ask for?

4 out of 5 eggsGreat set

Pros: Fantastic feel. Most comfortable. They sound great, mic sounds very good.

I can't say enough about the padding used for the ears. It is so soft and comfortable. I can wear these for hours and they never hurt. They fit perfect.

Inline volume/mic mute worked for the 3 years I had these, unlike several other brands I have had.

Microphone is loud and of good quality. Used for gaming, is better than average.

I would recommend this set.

Cons: Beware of mic when a fan is blowing on you. Not usually a big deal, but the mic has holes all along it and fans blowing right on your face will make a horrid sound through the mic.

The wire is thin, be careful not to pull on it.

After 2 years of heavy use, I noticed stress cracks in the plastic swivel piece above the earcups. Today, after a little over 3 years use, it finally broke. I am disappointed that they broke after only 3 years, but the headset has so many other fine qualities that I have to give 4 eggs. If one were more careful, or a set were used less frequently, then I could see them lasting much longer, perhaps.

Other Thoughts: A very fine set, I would buy again.

A tad delicate. Be careful with these, no roughhousing. :)
