5 out of 5 eggsgreat gaming headset

Pros: Well it still works perfectly after at least a year and a half of constant usage. I can even turn my system volume max with the headset itself at max, and no crackling with sick bass. It is surprisingly comfortable to me, which is odd because most headsets make my ears sore after awhile. If your looking for a reliable gaming headset, at a reasonable price...this is it, choose your color :)

Cons: My only problem is the clip on microphone, it tangles up with the volume panel, but i'm weird so whatever.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound, but

Pros: The sound is great, they are comfortable. I love wearing them.

Cons: They broke, a friend has bought two of these because his broke too.
The coord got wrapped along my chair and when i went to stand up, the headphones and volume adjuster on the coord snapped off completely.

I tried to glue the wires back but it was a mess.
Just becareful, its very fragile.

Other Thoughts: i bought them from the website for over $100.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Headset!

Pros: Very good sound quality, Mic was somewhat low at first... you just have to mess around with the settings to fix this problem.. not a big deal at all. Plenty of cord length to reach your computer, 7.1 USB Soundcard is awesome! Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time with no discomfort at all.

Cons: Cords are a bit messy, and lengthy... Mic feels a bit fragile.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing set

Pros: I should first state that I bought these when Icemat Audio was producing them, 3 years ago. As far as I can tell, the only thing they have changed is adding the 7.1 USB sound card.

VERY comfortable. Someone was complaining about the hard plastic on the outside. Well, you're not wearing them inside out. The "hard plastic" is for durability. Pay no attention to that review. I can use these headphones for about 4-5 hours with no discomfort.

Sound quality: The bass on these is incredible. Much better than the 5.1 SteelSeries headset I had previously owned. Playing music and also gaming, is nice and crisp. Without using a high end sound card these still sound very very nice.

In my 3 years of owning them, the sound quality has not been degraded, the headsets sound quality is still flawless.

Cons: The price hasn't gone down in 3 years. :P

Other Thoughts: I bought these 3 years ago (not from newegg, somewhere else) and they have been amazing since. They have recently become damaged (User error, nothing was wrong with the headset, the left headphone is now separated from the set, my own personal fault >.<) and Ive been looking around at other high end headsets and all seem to have mixed reviews, either too uncomfortable, too pricy for the quality, etc etc.
So rather than gamble my money away with something that may or may not suit me well, Ill be rebuying these from newegg.

I'm VERY glad they still produce them.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING!

Pros: Longevity! I've had these bad boys since high school and through college.. So about 4+ years of owning these. That means... I never stepped on these or dropped them.

Cons: A bit tight on your head ( I have a big head) and also I wear glasses... Can cause some pain over time but you get used to it.

Other Thoughts: The sound is amazing.. This paired with a fatal1ty sound card.. all my music is crisp and the bass is rich and full.

1 out of 5 eggsDissapointed

Pros: It works?

Cons: The headphones are very uncomfortable, maybe for a smaller person they could be but the ones in the past have been very spacey. They feel like they're pulling on my ears and the plastic is hard and not comfortable.

The only other con is that I wish I would have read that the mic was clip-on but I didn't even know to look because I didn't know that clip-on mics for gaming headsets were even made, honestly, worst idea ever. The two cords with the clip-on mic and the headset together make a long tangled mess, and the drivers they send set up your mic and then when you adjust it to be on your mic when you talk and close it, it switches back to "wave" so I plays your sound instead unless I keep it open and every time click back over to the microphone setting.

4 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Comfort - Simply the most comfortable pair of headphones ever.

Sound - as expected at this price point, the sound is super, not sure how 'virtual surround' works, but it does.

Portable. Durable.

Cons: The mic is...well... odd. It is flimsy- imagine a twist-tie or pipe cleaner with a mic head at the end that can retract into the left earcup. It likes to move and I can't see it lasting as long as the rest of the unit. If it does, I'll be suprised

Other Thoughts: Please remember that these headphones are VIRTUAL SURROUND, its not authentic. There are 2x3.5mm plugs - one for outbound (typically green) and one for the mic, the USB sound card is nice but not necessary.

>Lots< of cord length, and it is covered in a mesh sheath.. I nice touch in my opinion. Note that the actual cord is (eyeballing here) about 4 feet, but comes with an identically-made extension cord that is 2-3 times that length.

Bought from newegg, thanks guys =]

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Gaming Headset

Pros: Really comfortable to wear. The Inside of the headphones gradually open up so your ear doesn't get stuck against your head. I can wear these for hours without having to take them off. Very sturdy, I've dropped them over a hundred times over the past year and they are still good to wear. These are open ear headphones so sound will leak into your headset from your surroundings or sound from your headphones will leak out. Good because then you know when your parents are calling you xD. Cables are lengthy but if you know how to manage your cables, it's nothing to worry about. The mic this headset comes with is very sensitive so just clipping the mic to the headphone cord is good enough. I have VENT on lowest outbound and people still hear me when it's clipped onto the cord about an half a foot down the cable. BTW, great quality sound. Bass is balanced with treble. I'm not an audiophile but I know when good, crisp sound should be congratulated on. Have 2 of these, all over 1 yr.

Cons: nothing

5 out of 5 eggsE-MAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Pros: Well one of my cons was the fact that i couldn't get the drivers for the soundcard to work due to Windows 7 but I downloaded the beta version of the drivers and they work like a charm. As for music wise they play music nicely. But for gaming man oh man. So i played a scrim in Counter Strike Source yesterday and I basically heard everything. I sat in rafter of A site on de_nuke and heard the guy go from hell all the way to hut. These headphones are amazing. They are a must buy. I recommend to anyone who is looking for a good headset with a good soundcard.

Cons: Well I don't have many except the leakage of sound. I've played music in class cracked all the way up and i turned down the music player just a bit but it still was a bit too loud. As far as that nothing else

Other Thoughts: Good Headset other than sound leakage. MUST BUY!
