5 out of 5 eggsExcellent price/performance

Pros: Strong, accurate bass that doesn't overpower the music, decent mids, decent highs. Very comfortable over-ear headphones that can be worn for hours at a time. The mic is great and the in-line volume control/mute is handy.

Cons: I've had these headphones for four years now. After four years the padding on the earpieces has worn down and they are uncomfortable to wear. The inline volume/mute control is also showing signs of wear as it doesn't fully mute the mic. Also you can tell there is a loose connection as sometimes the right or left headset will go out, only to be fixed by making a minute adjustment to the volume.

Other Thoughts: For $70-80 you can get a high quality headset that will last you approximately four years. I greatly recommend this product.

4 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: 9/10 overall sound
9/10 bass
8/10 treble
9/10 mic
9/10 durability

cord length is great, able to drop it down behind my monitor and pull it up for when I need to stand and stretch.
you can unplug the extension leaving about 3 feet of cable left for the headphones.
mic is pulled out of the side easily.

years later they are still working and are in great shape*

overall I recommend them

Cons: *the band to hold it up protective cover came undone making it into an awkward band, superglue fixed it.

3 out of 5 eggsVERY NICE headphone, I WAS JUST UNLUCKY!

Pros: Comfortable
Nice quality

Cons: The box did not have the 2m extension cord and warranty card.
Customer support said they don't have any extension cables available, but they issued me a 20$ gift card for the hassle.

Other Thoughts: I can't use them, as my desktop is too far away and the cord (without the extension) doesn't reach.. BUT I did buy a chinese knock-off extension online for <10$.. gonna take a few weeks to arrive.

1 out of 5 eggsHuge Disappointment

Pros: + Looks good
+ Very comfortable
+ Good, soft audio quality for the price.

Cons: I was really excited to use this product since I have been happy with Steelseries mice in the past. To start, the cord on this headset is awful. After the third day of use, it began to tangle horribly even after proper storage and care. It got the point where even the male jacks for the mic and headset were curling up on each other. It got so bad that it affected the audio and I heard sharp static noises. I had to constantly lean back and unwind the cord every couple of minutes.

A few days later, the mic completely stopped working. When I took it off mute, all I heard was a low buzzing sound.

This is a comfortable and nice looking product but unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone.

Other Thoughts: Cool design, bad mic quality, really cheap/easily tangled cord.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Comfy
Good sound quality and are able to get pushed pretty loud
I play tons of CS:S and I hear the small details like footsteps great.

Cons: The leather fluff around the ear losses its strength and starts slowly pushing on your ear over the course of a year or two.

2 out of 5 eggsGood sound quality, cheap materials

Pros: This headset has amazing sound quality and it is very lightweight when wearing

Cons: Very cheap materials used. Just recently the suspension cables on the headset broke and the plastic is starting to wear. The ear muffs themselves have held up but they do cause some ear pain after prolonged use, at first i though this was just me getting use to it but after a year of heavy usage the pain still appears enough to where i must switch to speakers and rest my ears.

Other Thoughts: This headset is way overpriced for its quality. Though the sound is amazing the item itself is less then acceptable. After now a year of usage its beginning to fall apart and the sound will cut in and out. After this experience i do not think ill be purchasing another Steel-Series product anytime soon.

2 out of 5 eggsLeft earphone stopped working

Pros: This is the second pair i've bought the first pair worked great for two years and broke because of a personal accident, amazing quality mic everything

Cons: On this second pair the left earphone decided to just stop working, it was working one second and then i exited a program and it wasn't anymore, I'm pretty disappointed and unfortunately won't be taking my money to steelseries again I was a huge fan of their products but after a little research this is a COMMON problem that the mic side earphone craps out

Other Thoughts: Hopefully the wiring problem on the mic side earphone for the Siberias will get fixed, overall they're amazing headphones for a great price however the faulty wiring is more than enough to convince me to not buy again

2 out of 5 eggsUnimpressed

Pros: -Lightweight
-Comes in a lot of color options
-Decent microphone
-Unlike the KrakenPro from Razer, does not need extension cable to use mic

Cons: -Cheap plastic construction
-Mic is quiet until you adjust settings in Windows
-Headband cannot be manually adjusted, SteelSeries gets to decide how the headset fits, not the consumer.
-Very little clamping force, sound leaks and bass is really week.
-Circular ear cups, might bother some people
-Pretty weird looking, not the best for public use unless you don't care about aesthetic

Other Thoughts: These headphones were a gift and I only use them to be nice, but also because I'm broke and can't afford to buy a standalone mic and the Kraken Forged that I want. Anyway, if I could, I'd use something else. The build of these headphones is cheap and pretty bad. The plastic creaks when worn and it gets old very quickly. The headband will fit however it wants to, so if you don't have the perfect head, good luck. Due to the loose headband, a lot of sound is lost and bass is very week. Mids are nice but highs are pretty muffled and bad. The headset is decently comfy, but the earcups get very very hot after a few hours. I find myself removing one cup at a time to cool an ear off. The microphone is clear and crisp, but out of the box is inaudible and picks up breathing as if it is magnetically attracted to the mic. It's alright for a headset but not a headset that usually costs about $100. I was pretty disappointed with these cans. I don't understand the popularity since they're really not all that good.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Headset, But With Faults

Pros: They produce decent sound quality. The headphones are lightweight. The headband stretches and is pretty doesn't squish your head.

The headset fits both my 10-year old son and myself well which was crucial when shopping.

The cord length is short, but they provide an extension cable which is a nice addition. The pull-out/push-in microphone is a terrific addition since it seems as though it will add to the longevity of the part. The mic also seems to pickup speech fairly well.

The headphones are pretty nice looking.

Cons: The headset is mostly made of cheap plastic. While I'm sure that adds to the lightweight nature of the headphones, I shudder to think what would happen if they took an unplanned fall onto my tile floor.

The earphones start to become uncomfortable after about an hour of continuous use. The cushions don't feel as though they are going to last too long, seem as though they may be prone to ripping or wearing thin. Mine haven't yet, but I weary of it happening.

The sound (as I said in the pro's) is just decent. It leaves something to be desired, but is probably as good as its going to get in this price range.

Other Thoughts: Prior to buying these (from another retailer), I was using a pair of Beyerdynamics DT770/Pro Reference Studio Headphones with a separate cheap clip on mic. After 5 years of consistent use, they finally did my heart. Those headphones were amazing!

Unfortunately, I didn't want to spend another $300 on headphones, so I opted to spend less. I did quite a bit of shopping around and finally settled on these for most of the reasons I outlined in the Pro's. Ultimately, you get what you pay for. I'm happy with the Siberia V2 overall, but had I the disposable income, I would easily buy another set of the DT770/Pro or comparable headphones. The Siberia V2's simply cannot compare to the DT770/Pro in sound quality and when playing online FPS' where hearing every footstep frag rate went down :(
