2 out of 5 eggsWas Great fro 18 months

Pros: - Looks pretty cool
- Very Accurate

Cons: - Succumbed to the double click of death after about 18 months
- I'm not a super heavy user, not a big gamer and this thing still bit the dust on me. Pretty disappointing.
- No way to repair either.

5 out of 5 eggs2 yrs old and still going strong

Pros: Comfort
Looks & Feel

Cons: Price, unless it's on sale.

Other Thoughts: I bought this SteelSreies Sensei Raw 6/11/13 on sale for $35.32. One of the best purchases I've ever made. This mouse has gone through the torture test with my gaming and still functions like the day I bought it. I play mainly online Hawken.
The mouse movement and accuracy is fantastic and highly adjustable, it's highly customizable (don't know what others are complaining about) with great software.
I thought the high gloss was going to be a problem but I couldn't be more wrong. Fingerprints clean up in a snap and the materials used are of really high quality which make it very durable.
The shape is just right for me, I have large hands, which make it very comfortable for long gaming sessions.
The mouse itself looks just great with the high black gloss finish and white led lights, this thing is a knockout.
I see that the price is still very high even when on sale, but if you can find this at around 60-70 dollars it's still well worth it.
I've use many other mice, some work well and others did not, but this SteelSeries has really won me over. It's an outstanding performer.

2 out of 5 eggsAwesome Until it Breaks

Pros: Responsive. Precise. Programmable. Glossy.

Feels good in the hand. "Sensitivity" switch is nice.

Cons: Fragile main buttons! 70 bucks is too expensive for a mouse that will last 1 year.

The glossy surface gets a little dirty.

Other Thoughts: A coworker ordered a Sensei and had it shipped to the office, as a replacement for one he had that broke. I knew the mouse must be good if he was replacing a faulty one with another of the same brand. Right? Wrong! Now that I've had this mouse for a year and a month and one of its main buttons is starting to fail, I realize that SteelSeries mice may just not be very durable. That's okay in a cheap mouse, but when paying an upwards of $70... it's aggravating.

1 out of 5 eggsExpensive with bad software & support

Pros: Very long cord

Cons: Software won't work with Mac OS X Mavericks. Contacted support and no help 48 hours later. Cheap plastic feel for the price.

Other Thoughts: Long cord aside this is at best a $10 mouse. I paid WAY too much for this. I was expecting more based on reviews I saw here. I will avoid SteelSeries in the future. For the kind of money I paid I expect much better support.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality, Thanks SteelSeries

Pros: -Comfortable to hold in a palm grip.
-Ambidextrous, which means two more buttons on the right side that can be mapped with macros.
-Very accurate, I am pleased with the sensor which has a large DPI range (up to 5700)
-Buttons have a nice feel to them and make a satisfying click when pressed. Scroll wheel feels sturdy and controlled.
-Rubberized sections on the side of the mouse improve grip.
-The software that allows for customization of the mouse, SteelSeries Engine, is very capable and powerful software, it allows recording of complex macros and setting profiles for different DPI preferences.

Cons: -The side buttons are slightly difficult to press when held with a claw grip (my preferred grip style,) but this is barely a con.
-Only two DPI profiles, changed by the button behind the mouse wheel.
-Glossy finish does pick up fingerprints, but less than I expected. A mouse is gonna get dirty even if you wash your hands before every use, though.

Other Thoughts: This is my first gaming mouse, and I have to say it's a huge step up from a regular mouse. I chose the SteelSeries Sensei RAW over the Corsair M65 because I heard that the new sensor in the M65 has an acceleration feature. This makes it pretty much useless for a FPS mouse (which it is advertised as) because it reduces accuracy, although I've heard that this acceleration is useful for RTS players.

2 out of 5 eggsLimited customization.

Pros: Great feel, size, ergonomics. Braided cord and LEDs are pretty cool. Nice long USB 3.0 cord. Crazy fast CPI settings.

Cons: Limited custom ability. Unable to map browser forward/back to any other buttons other then 4/5. Limited support, no tutorials available for setting macros. SteelSeries support totally unresponsive to basic questions regarding mapping keys and macros. Macros fail to work in any game I've tried so far, so pretty much it's just good for the engine/cpi settings. However CPI settings are crazy beyond 1800 for FPS games...pretty much only good for RTS above 1800 (my personal mouse preference is fast, but not move the mouse 1/4" to spin 2x in fps game).

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't buy this again. Was cheap on sale for $39, so not out that much cash. Pretty much only good for stock settings and RTS gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsLove It!!

Pros: The nice of a mouse with such a high DPI at the price I paid is just awesome. More than exceeds my expectations. My first Steelseries product and definitely won't be the last.

Very durable. With all the people that use and play games on my pc this thing takes a good beating.

Cons: -NONE

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Mouse!

Pros: Amazing mouse for a great price. Extremely comfortable to use (I have big hands). Movement is tracked accurately and preset DPIs work well. Buttons on the mouse that I primary use are easily pressed/accessible.

Cons: Not sure if you can really call this a con, but the glossy surface will track your prints. Doesn't bother me at all though.

Other Thoughts: I have tried a variety of other gaming mice (Logitech, Razer, etc.) and this is hands-down my favorite. If you have the dexterity, reaction time, and a keen eye for details , you will immediately notice how fluid/accurate the movement feels from the moment you initial use the mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsBest mouse I've had

Pros: Fits really well in my hand, (before i had a proper desk i sometimes used the carpet and my mouse before had problems tracking this one has no trouble on carpet, wood, mouse pad, it tracks on everything I have). Steelseries software is also awesome, works well with multiple games.

Cons: Can't think of anything.
