4 out of 5 eggsI've gotten too used to a good thing

Pros: I'll skip the preamble and get to the point. Great sound coming in, great sound going out. And that was before I'd gotten a sound card (which made these babies even MORE amazing!). They also cancel out a good deal of outside noise when active.

Fairly comfy, though this is subjective: The size of your head and ears will affect how nicely these feel. The pad at the top is an added bonus.

Also fairly durable. I've dropped these a couple times and they're no worse for wear. I'm not suggesting that these things will stand up to purposeful abuse or anything, but nowadays dropping some things a few feet onto the ground is a death-sentence, one which seems to be avoided here.

Cons: Still, things could be better. The mic is a set length and only has about 170 degrees of up/down movement (no horizontal movement to put it directly in front of you), making it a little difficult to find a sweet-spot. If your computer or a fan or any other noise source is to your right, your mic may pick that up.

Also, and this is VERY minor, but I figured I'd mention it: It expels a lot of sound outside and away from your ears, so people around you will hear a bit of what you're hearing. Not a deal-breaker, but if you crank up some death metal while in a library with these things, people'll notice.

Other Thoughts: A good bang for your buck, you can really get the most out of these with a decent sound card. However, they're good regardless.

When I first got these, I would be using terms like "awesome" and "amazing", but having them for a long time has tempered my excitement. Still, I'm more than happy to recommend them =)

3 out of 5 eggsGreat while they lasted

Pros: Great sound quality and microphone. Really awesome

Cons: Durability... lasted about 4 months before the cord from the headset started to fail.

Other Thoughts: I used these everyday... on multiple computers and phones. I am on calls, Skype, etc a lot and these worked great until they "wore" out. I was careful when packing them away, and I know this was going to happen sooner or later... I was hoping for at least six months.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent enough headset

Pros: Good audio output quality
Decent mic sound quality

Cons: Not exactly long-term reliable
Cord could be a tiny bit longer
Mic transmits low volume

Other Thoughts: I've had a number of these - they don't tend to last all that long. I find myself having to buy a new one every year or so. At this point I'm going to be switching brands when my current one dies.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: They're very affordable. The sound quality is pretty good and the mic works well. Great for listening to music or for Skype calls.

Cons: They press down on my ears and hurt after wearing them for a while. The padding doesn't do very much to help this. Not for people with bigger heads. The padding really just isn't that comfortable at all.

Other Thoughts: Noticed that they were uncomfortable a few minutes into my gaming session. They're okay at first but don't wear them for prolonged periods of time if you can help it. If you can, buy a more expensive headset. It doesn't have to be a $250+ headset to be comfortable. :P

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Headset for Cheap

Pros: Very cheap for a headset.
Functions properly and can take a beating.

Cons: Subpar sound quality and mic quality.
Not the most comfortable on-ear design. Can't wear for more than one hour.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. If this were any more than $20, it would get a 2 or 1 egg from me. If I were you, I would save up and buy a nicer one.

Cons: Didn't last me as long as I expected it too be, I ended up losing audio in one ear after a couple months of purchase.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh Headset for a Meh Price

Pros: Surprising bass for a cheap headset. The volume and mic mute controller has indented sides where the controls are so it's difficult to accidentally adjust the volume or mute your mike while playing.

Cons: Just about everything else. The earcans are an ugly boxy shape and rather uncomfortable. The mic is oh-so-ho-hum barely average and flips down like a robot arm. The plastic is cheap and allows the cans to torque apart so they are uneven. The sound leaks so you'll disturb anyone else in the room with you with your music/games. Also the treble is pretty bad, apparently counteracting the OK bass.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for so in that respects this is a perfectly average headset for the price. They feel cheap, their performance is cheap and they cost cheap so really there should be no surprises if you buy them. Myself personally mildly regret being as cheap as this set. Next time I'll save up and buy a nicer set.
