Pros: Wireless, with good range. Recharges via USB, good quality audio.

Cons: I haven't really had any yet. It's been annoying when I forget to charge it but that's more my fault.

Pros: Comfortable, long life, convenient and easy to use.

Cons: Can't use while plugged in. The instructions that come with headset say that you cannot use the headset while it's charging. I couldn't test this though as the charging cord it comes with is about a foot long...so I unless I want to make out with my tower while I'm using this headset, I can't plug it in.

Other Thoughts: I've only had the headset for about a week, but I'm very satisfied. I've found the charge lasts longer than the promised 8 hours of continual use (I've used it 9-10 hours several times).

Pros: Comfortable, very easy to install, good microphone, good earphones, good range, really isolates sound.

Cons: Cannot charge and use at the same time, need to charge 4 hours for first use, I can hear my heart beat when they are on.

Other Thoughts: When I first tried it, it was a large step up from my old headphones. My friends could hear me much better, and I could hear them. I spent 5-10 minutes installing (most of the difficulty was in moving my rack mount tower to plug in the usb adapter in the rear. During this time I was charging it, so when I hopped on, my talk time only lasted about 20 minutes and I was back on my old headset :( RTM, and it requires 4 hours out of the box, so if you want to use these for long sessions of gaming, be sure to give it a good charge before hand. Of course, if you are going to spend an entire day or evening gaming, might I recommend taking a periodic break, charging for a few minutes, do some stretches, and get some fresh air.

Pros: At the risk of sounding like a representative I just have to say these headphones have ensured I'll be buying Plantronics again if these darn things ever die. I bought these headphones three or so years ago and they still go strong.

* Great sound quality
I'm not an audiophile or whatever you call it, but I do listen to music almost non stop. I also Skype and use Ventrilo / TeamSpeak while gaming. I've had all 4 open at once and still the audio doesn't deteriorate. They aren't too full of bass but it's not lacking any either.

* Great mic quality
Even after 3 strong years of almost daily abuse, my voice still travels through em crisp and clear. The mic has even been complemented numerous times when other players learn of its age and still hear the quality. *I don't do any extracurricular activities like try to sing.

* 20+ foot range
I read a couple other reviews that said the range cut in and out and only had a reach of about 5 feet. It must be the walls in my home or my pair are special cause I've been able to get up, use the restroom, grab a drink or make a sandwich in the kitchen, wrap em up and take a shower, lounge around on the back porch, shave, and just about any other activity you can think of and only recently after years have I noticed the range cuts a bit shorter than it used to.

* Long battery life
I also read other reviews that said the battery life wasn't longer than 2 hours. That's just clean cut bull s#!t. The only time these headphones lose charge on me is when I don't charge them, or I've been using them for however many hours nonstop. I tested this many times while chatting with friends for so long the headphones die: I plug them in for 10 seconds... seconds, not minutes, and that gives me another 3 to 4 minutes to chat until they die again. I wouldn't suggest using them this way but a good hour or two charge is about all it needs to go for another 6 - 8 hours.

Cons: * You cannot use while charging
Despite all the good things this headset delivers, I still don't like the fact that I can't use them while they're charging. That's bugged me since day one. I have a second pair of corded headphones that I use when these are charging.

* No software
I've recently learned that a couple of different brands include software that let you adjust different levels of sound and have special effects or voice changing capability. I want this. The headset did not come with this.

Other Thoughts: Even though they didn't come with software, I would still have given these a 5/5 if I could use them while they were charging.

Pros: Very enjoyable for music - strong, clean bass, clear highs
Comfortable
Wonderful to be wireless
Mic quality is very good (not good enough for singing)
Noise canceling is very good

Cons: Pretty heavy (but not really uncomfortable)
Wireless range good be better (for use with Skype), but fine for gaming
Cannot use while battery is charging ... unusual in my experience

Other Thoughts: These are for gaming but I'm not a gamer. I use them with skype which is great. I'm a musician. I use them to listen to music as I record the vocal track. These sound by far the best of any of my headsets. Other reviewers are very confused about the on/off switch. It works perfectly, but it's not an on/off switch. It is a control switch. It works the same as control buttons on Bluetooth devices. Hold it briefly and the unit will change the blue light to red then shutoff. Hold it 5 secs or longer and it goes into pairing mode ... the blue light begins to blink. This is an excellent headset and I would buy it again if it quit working. I've had not one problem in a year of use.
Note that the RF signal will not penetrate the internal walls of my house. This is strange because my wireless telephone system can and does penetrate them. That same phone system connects to my Cellphone via Bluetooth right through the walls and floors.

Pros: Pretty comfortable and good for gaming. No cable to worry with.

Cons: Can't change out the batteries if they go bad.

Other Thoughts: I have owned these for over a year and have had no problems with them at all. The batteries last about 3.5 to 4 hours and then they need to be charged. As with any rechargeable battery you should drain them all the way then charge back up fully. The button thing mentioned here is completely blown out of proportion. They have a light on the earpiece that tells you on blue off or charging red. Not a big deal. I use mine a great deal gaming and listening to music so hope this helps.

Pros: Sounds okay.

Cons: I have had to return this to the retailer once, and just got off the phone after arguing with Plantronics about a free shipper to warranty it for a second return.

The unit will not hold a charge. The first one would only hold a charge for 3 hours and I refunded/repurchased in 2 weeks. The second one has done okay but within 3 months the same thing has happened, it will not hold a charge. They are using totally JUNK batteries in these units. Go and look at the other reviews all over online before buying this, then DON'T BUY IT. It is not worth 5 dollars.

The on-off button is just WEIRD, you have to hold it down for 2 SECONDS ONLY or it won't shut off/turn on. If you hold it longer, it starts flashing thinking you are trying to resync it to the receiver. The initial (new) charge takes about 20 hours, not 10, and after fully charging it regularly over a couple months (or less), forget it, it doesn't work for more than 2 hours.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY THIS IT IS NOT WORTH ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY AND IS TARNISHING THE PLANTRONICS NAME BADLY.

Pros: Fairly comfortable, I can wear it for several hours. I have a slightly big head (just ask my wife).

Sound quality is above average. The mic is clear and so is the sound. Nothing earth shattering but it's a decent clear sound.

I do get good range out of this headset, 40ft through walls. However, it cuts out when I stick my head in the refrigerator to get a snack.

I use this item for both work and play. Super nice for that skype call with your sister who won't stop talking as you can putter around the house while she jabbers on and on.

Cons: WORST THING is the battery issue. There are many wireless gaming headsets that allow you to operate while charging the battery, which is why I say DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. Go for something that can operate while charging. When the battery goes dead during the middle of your business call or dragon raid it will ruin your day.

Again, get a headset that can be recharged while in use.

If you have a time machine, I'll give you 50 bucks to go back to last year and tell me to do that.



If I bend over they fall off, which has happens dozens of times. This does not happen with other headsets I own, only this one.

Other Thoughts: I agree with the other comments that this item is just plain odd shaped and the weight is unbalanced.

I disagree with comments such as "don't be lazy, recharge it". Be real.

Pros: Good build quality and very clear sound quality both ways. People hear me great and I hear them great.

Cons: I bought these for work since I use a virtual IP phone for my laptop. I figured they would last 9 hours since I maybe talk for an hour or two total on the phone in a day. However, 8 hours is 8 hours regardless if you're using them or not. They do not go into a standby mode. So I charge them over my lunch break and overnight. Not sure how long the battery will last doing this. I also thought the earphones cushions were going to be larger like gaming cushions and fit over the ear and not sit on the ear. I've grown accustomed to the fit now.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend them more for personal use and not professional use. I do like them though.

Pros: Comfortable and works well.

Cons: Plantronics expects you to throw this item away when the battery no longer holds a charge. I've owned my 995 for two years and used it moderately. The battery now dies in less than one hour. I would not have bought this if I had known they don't allow the battery to be changed.
