4 out of 5 eggsGreat headset, tape your cans

Pros: Great sense of 5.1, great sound too, I prefer multiple speaker surround to processed fakery. Some people might want more bass but I was super happy with this headset. The mic sounds great too.

Cons: only 1, the plastic clips holding the cans to the overhead band are weak. My cat pushed these off of my desk and one side broke. I taped it up just fine, and I think if they had been taped up in the first place it would be fine. Otherwise a 5 egg review.

Other Thoughts: Even with a broken clip I'm happy with these

2 out of 5 eggsNot for the everyday gamer...

Pros: Amazing headset, sound, and controls.

Cons: Breaks too easily, iv been gaming since I was 9 and im now almost 20, this by far is the cheapest headset iv ever owned. One good drop or if you turn them the wrong way the plastic is bound to break.

Other Thoughts: If your like 90% of gamers you would expect a expensive headset like this to be made of good material and last for at least 6 months. Nope I had to return 2 and they both broke in 2-3 weeks, and yes I do take care of my item this is just a cheaper headset. Quality Wise.

1 out of 5 eggsSounds Great - Breaks

Pros: *sounds fantastic... 5.1 surround
*Multiple speakers in each ear sounds great.
*looks great
*soft ear pads
*articulating mic
*long cord

Cons: *cheaply made.
*cord gets more and more stiff as though it is hardening.
*sound control is too close to body. 3 feet.
*too many controls on sound control without protect. always gets moved.
*firmness of headset is always at head squishing vice setting. I wear a size 8 helmet.
*mic feeds your own voice back into your ear, cannot turn this off.

Other Thoughts: don't buy this... it will break.

1 out of 5 eggsNEVER!

Pros: Sound quality is good.. Sounds rich.

Cons: CHEAPLY MADE! I have gone thru several of these over this past year.. They have even sent me the "NEW IMPROVED" model... the design on these is such junk that the designer should be FIRED! I love my Ear Force HPA2 headset but they discontinued them, probably because they were TOO good. I'm a firm believer in "If it ain't broke, Don't fix it"!

Other Thoughts: next pair... Sennheiser

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome 5.1 for gaming, music and movies. quality and looks are great. I own three sets of TB head phones and this one is by far the best model.

Cons: Only complaint is the tension on the strap tends to hold the ear pieces to tight and the weight slightly heavy then my Xbox set. This is a minor caveat compared to the sound I get from these head phones.

1 out of 5 eggsterrible. bought two. both terrible.

Pros: cheap. 5.1. the sound quality is decent. the voice feedback is actually cool. sound better in and out vs the corsair headset that i returned the next day after buying.

Cons: bought two sets for my girlfriends birthday at the end of january, 1 for me, 1 for her. we both play a lot of games. both headsets have defective wiring making them almost unplayable. the wiring prevents the mic from working. mine broke in the left ear, hers broke in the tuner. one of the arms on mine, which btw is embarrassingly poorly designed, just broke so now im on here. besides the faulty wiring and the bad structure design, the product has blatant design issues. the cups turn inward so when you put them down to hang them on your neck the cups are against your chest so you cant hear them. the volume dials on the tuner dongle are completely useless. why would you ever change the output volume on surround, front, mid, and sub? i always had them at max and to be honest would prefer them not even on there if i could get better wiring.

for my girlfriend, who is small, the headset was too heavy AND too tight. she said they would give her headaches after about 40 minutes.

ive been a die hard TB fan since i got my first x10's for l4d on 360. counting those and the ones i got for my gf, ive purchased 5 pairs of tb. they all broke.

my friends all make fun of me for liking TB and now i know why. They suck. im embarassed i went through so many before realizing it.

Other Thoughts: if you still think you would want these, pray pray pray that you dont get a set that breaks. to be honest again, i think the whole lot is defective.

turtle beach, you let me down.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Sound is good. Bought these at a big box store with christmas money over a year ago.

Cons: These are the biggest pile's of junk i have ever owned, I have gone through three pair's. Quality is horrific, the plastic bands have broke on the left and right sides. They started cracking within weeks of using them. I call support and now they want to send me a set of X12's to replace them. LOL, I paid a hundred bucks for these and they want to replace them with a $50 set. Avoid these at all costs.

Other Thoughts: I would also recommend to avoid Turtle Beach products all together. Their quality has gone downhill from years past and it shows by the reviews here and elsewhere.

1 out of 5 eggsBroke 3 times

Pros: Great sound quality, sound clear through the mic, comfortable.

Cons: Very cheaply constructed. The plastic that telescopes to adjust the size snapped on the left ear of my first set while taking them off my head. I returned them to the retailer where I purchased them and they allowed me to exchange them (was about a week in).

My second pair I treated like they were made of glass to avoid the same issue and about 2 weeks later the same thing happened. I decided to just make my own fix and use some supports and duct tape to put them back together (lul) then about a month later the same think happened on the other side so now I have a duct taped monstrosity of a headphone (which in all fairness still works)

Other Thoughts: Purchased from local retailer so I wont show as verified.

I contacted customer support to see if maybe they are made for children or maybe just up to a certain size head (i wear a 7 1/4 fitted hat. i think thats pretty normal?) They assured me it should fit everyone and that they do not break often.
