5 out of 5 eggsLove these!

Pros: TRUE 5.1 surround sound
Swappable ear cups
Solid sound quality
Adjustable microphone
Lengthy cables with a nylon cover to protect them
Neat little bag to carry the headset in
Can wear for hours without fatigue

Cons: Volume control remote is really light and cheapish feeling, but I haven't had issues with that. Lightweight isn't necessarily bad either, since it reduces the weight of the headset as well.

Other Thoughts: Man, I know this headset isn't exactly the top tier stuff, but from where I was before, it's an amazing difference. I used to use a cheap iWave set of headphones or some little earbuds, but these blow all that out of the water. They are definitely intended for gaming, especially in 3D games where direction matters. Stuff like Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Batman, Tomb Raider, these really let you hear where stuff really is. Music playback is decent enough, I have to fiddle with the equalizer a bit when switching from games to music, since the subs in this start to crackle a bit with some songs. Otherwise though, I have no regrets buying these. Oh yeah, while not an issue I was concerned about, be careful about buying these as far as connectors go, as it needs 4 audio jacks for each channel plus the mic, and a USB for the lights on the cups. Definitely not intended for laptop use, but that's okay for me because I got these for my desktop gaming rig.

2 out of 5 eggssirus storm S

Pros: sturdy well built headset

Cons: Very poor audio the sound is very low compared to everyone headset i have ever used my stock headphones from the my Cd player from 15 years ago sounds better then these

Other Thoughts: it really needs a master volume added to the inline remote and better speakers im buying a different set as soon as i get paid for anyone looking for 5.1 headset dont get these or roccat kave its a great sounding headset but dont last for anything the mic cable crapped in 4 days and front right channel died in about 2 months

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry to hear you are having trouble with our headset. Would you be able to contact us so we can troubleshoot the problems you are having such as the poor audio as well as the dead mic? 3 out of 5 eggsUpdate after a years use.

Pros: Great sound when they worked properly (must have a good sound card with Headset amp to fully enjoy these). Extremely comfortable.

Cons: (I bought these Feb. 28, 2013 and it is now March 15, 2014.)

This headset is now failing. I use this headset paired with a Sound Blaster Z, which was amazing in the beginning. But now it seems the Front Left speaker is almost dead. Seems to be shorting as sometimes it works and sometimes is does not. When it does work, it sounds awful. All other speakers are working fine for the moment.

Also the coating these headsets have over the outer plastic ear covers started bubbling and is now peeling off.
This headset has always been taken care of, never misused. And within 2 weeks time frame the coating started to bubble and a speaker went out. Right at a years time of ownership. I am disappointed to say the least. Thought these might actually last a lot longer.

Took 2 eggs off since I have 2 issues with them.

Other Thoughts: Wish these would of actually lasted, as I really enjoyed them while they did work. The inline volume control wasn't great, but everything else was really nice. Especially the comfort and sound.

Now I'm stuck gaming with a cheap pair of Wally-World bought headphones, because I gave away my old Plantronics Gamecom, until CM finally gets back to me and replaces these or I just bite the bullet and go buy another brand.

2 out of 5 eggsMixed feelings

Pros: Looks and feels great, braided cable, comfortable to me, descent sound in games,

Cons: Not very great for music, in-line volume control is a bad design, and last week the right side started shorting out

Other Thoughts: Good for gaming, 'ok' for music. Comfortable for me, but just a little loose on my head (everyone is different). Great feel and braided cable is nice. The fact that the right side is shorting and I cant use them is a big con.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Wingfan,

I'm sorry to hear that the headset is starting to short out from normal use. We can help to replace that for you if it's within the two year warranty period. Please contact us by phone, 888-624-5099, or LiveChat (link below) to help with any troubleshooting and our RMA process. Please let us know whatever we can do to make this better for you.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Headset

Pros: The sound is fantastic with this headset. Combined with a decent sound card makes it a vital tool when gaming. You can hear people in every direction which in FPS games is a vital necessity to achieve immersion and improve game play.

Cons: The cord, while being decent in length, is not as long as I would like it. I had to sit back and think of a way to snake the cable so as to not over stretch it.
To truly utilize the headset you should have access to a sound card, or a built in sound card that can support true 5.1.
Just a side note: The USB is not for sound, it is to give the headset power as well as give the lights on the headset power.

Other Thoughts: Overall for the price you get superb durability and clear sound quality. I would definetly recommend it!

1 out of 5 eggsBad Set

Pros: There are none.

Cons: USB never worked outa the box
No serial # on headset(Its Blank) so I can't access return on
cooler master web page.

Other Thoughts: Tried on 2 computers after my daughter told me the usb never worked, She was right, Looked for drivers online,
but this set doesn't support the drivers on that page.
Guess I'll by her a different set of Headphones...

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Old Time Gamer,
I'm sorry for your troubles with your Sirus S. The USB connector is just used to provide power to the LEDs on the headset. The audio connections are made with the 3.5mm connectorsonf the Sirus S headset. It doesn't have any drivers as it is used through the 3.5mm connectors, so the sound support would be through the sound device on your computer, such as the motherboard or sound card.

If the headset is not working with these connectors, please Contact Us directly using the link below so we can assist you regarding the trouble.

1 out of 5 eggsMic dead before a month

Pros: -Decent audio
-Decent bass
-Comfy as all heck

Cons: -Terrible audio out of the box
-Mic was below average to begin with
-Mic finally stopped working before a month

Other Thoughts: Completely regret the decision to attempt to upgrade from my Creative Fatality Pro MK2 headset. Such a superior headset. Glad I kept it around. At least the mic is still functioning a year later. Go buy it instead.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Recommended

Pros: None really.

Cons: - Bulky, heavy, and not that comfortable.

- Mid range response is bad, so dialog in 2-channel MP3's and movies is muffled or tinny.

- In games, it does not produce positional audio like 5.1 freestanding speakers. Directional cues are no better than normal stereo headphones (and yes, I set the system's and game's audio to 5.1).

Other Thoughts: Sound quality was terrible with my ASUS XONAR DX. After swapping the card out with a Creative SB X-fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro I had laying around, the quality improved to marginal for video and just OK for games.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,
I'm very sorry for the troubles you're encountering with your Sirus S. The Sirus S does have True 5.1 surround sound support, so if yours isn't working correctly, it could be sound driver settings, OS or game settings, or a potential issue with your headset. If you need replacement of the headset or other technical support on it, please talk to us directly so we can help you out. I'm adding links to our Contact Us page which has our Live Chat and ticket system links on there. I'm also putting in a link to our RMA system if you wanted to get a tested headset :)

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Good Mids and Highs very comfortable can wear for hours not a problem good surround sound price is good awesome for gaming can defiantly tell when someone is trying to sneak up behind you

Cons: Now for cons base is little to nonexistent with some adjusting to EQ you can scrap some base out of it if u are looking for some ear shattering base do not get these if u want base that makes your head rattle and u don't care about audio quality just buy beats headphones about the loudness i have a very nice audio card and no matter how hard i try to push them they refuse to get any louder its almost like the speakers are just under powered the sound they do produce is nice and clear its just not loud i mean you can hear everything just fine but when listening to music sometimes it is nice to just crank it up and these do not do that

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a good headset for gaming for the price you cant beat these but if u are looking for something for music i don't recommend these its not that they have bad sound they sound pretty good just like i said before not loud enough at least for me

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Headset

Pros: Kinda comfy. The huge box makes you think it is going to be awesome.

Cons: Terrible design on the ear foam. They fall off. The pieces break and you cannot get the foam back on the headset. Then you are pretty much scewed over!

Not loud at all ... horrible volume.

What a disappointment.

Manufacturer Response:

Hey neBo503,
I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the Sirus S! The ear pieces are pretty vital to a fuinctional and comfortable headset and certainly shouldn't be falling apart. Do me a favor and go to the "RMA" link I'm providing below to register yourself to your Sirus S and then apply for an RMA, then use the other "Contact Us" link I'm putting down there to get in touch with me or the rest of my team in Live Chat or our ticket system with your RMA number (or just letting us know you registered for the RMA with your email address) so we can help you out directly and swiftly.
