5 out of 5 eggsEven My Wife Likes This

Pros: Extremely comfortable ergonomics works with both the left and right hands.

Excellent weight that can be adjusted, although I prefer leaving all of the weights in

Extremely smooth operation that glides with ease over a mousepad

Textured sides is easy to grip, without being grippy - if that makes sense.

Buttons have very nice "click" to them. My previous mouse was a basic Microsoft Mouse and this definitely has better click-feel.

All buttons are programmable

Front LED logo can be changed or turned off using software

Ease of use in quick selecting the DPI on the mouse without additional software

Instantly worked on Windows 10 without any additional software

Cons: I would describe all of these cons as nitpicks as none of them are significant enough for me to dock an egg.

The Corsair software is pretty clunky and doesn't pair up with other Corsair utilities like Corsair Link for the H80i water cooler, so I have 2 separate Corsair logos in my system tray at all times. The programming of the buttons isn't intuitive.

Although you can turn off the front lights, you have to do it through the software. There is no quick "night mode" for the mouse at night. For this reason, I just leave the lights off. It's gimmicky anyway.

I don't use the dedicated 'Sniper Mode" button so I mapped it as my main back button, because I find the default "back/forward" buttons to be a little too small. This is probably the biggest con of the mouse. I think the back/forward buttons could have been positioned a little better.

Other Thoughts: Although I do some PC gaming, I would not describe myself as a hardcore gamer. Ive always found that a traditional 3 button mouse with a back/foward button to be "good enough". Ive spent extra on gaming keyboards, but never a mouse. Now I know that I've been missing out. This is an excellent lens that really feels high quality in almost every regard. The ergonimcs are great, I can use this both left and right handed, the buttons have the best "click feel" of any mouse Ive used (even better than a Microsoft Mouse). The weight of the mouse is splended and so is the texture.

I should point out that while NewEgg sent me the "white M65-W" mouse, mine doesn't look like the picture above. The top shell and L/R buttons are white plastic, but the bottom, sides, and that channel above and below the wheel are black on mine. I actually like the look of mine better than the image above. I assume Corsair has redesigned the mouse, but Newegg just hasn't updated the picture.

I've never been a fan of Corsair's software, and this time its no different. I dont care for the Corsair Link software for the H80i water cooler and I dont like the software here. Even more annoying is that Corsair doesnt have one single program that works with all of their hardware. Every program is a separate install which means you see two identical Corsair icons in your system tray.

The good news is that if you dont have a need to remap the buttons, create macros, or change the lights, you don't even need to load their software as WIndows 10 not only detected the mouse correctly, but all of the buttons worked in their default mode.

I mentioned in my cons above that I wish there was a way to mute the lighting without having to go into the software, but thats a minor quibble.

Finally, perhaps the best endorsement I can give this mouse is that my non-gamer/non-geek wife likes it. She rolled her eyes at the gaming keyboard I bought and doesnt get excited about hexa-core processors, DDR4 memory, or SLI videocards, but she said that she really liked the mouse, so getting that endorsement from her is pretty significant! :)

5 out of 5 eggsSuper slick

Pros: I was nervous about trying this mouse, but I was building a corsair exclusive build and it was on sale. Lets just say its AWESOME. It's a litter wider which is perfect for my large hands. It has weight mods, yet even with them in the mouse is still pretty light despite the metal construction underneath. I compare this to the Rat 7 I purchased before which even with the weights out the metal build was still very heavy to move around comfortably. I would buy this mouse again over n over. The sniper button is easy to get to, and DPI switching on the fly was easy without even needing to customize the various levels. It's a clean look too, not too flashy, but not dull.

Cons: No cons so far, but it would have been cool to have a lit corsair logo.

Other Thoughts: Don't think about it, BUY IT NOW!

4 out of 5 eggsGood for claw grippers with large hands

Pros: Adjustable weight system, modest LED lighting, good click response, very interesting/nice construction, good mouse in general I guess?

Cons: Extremely WIDE, software is absolute dirt to learn (very nonintuitive; take steelseries engine and brutally kill it)

Other Thoughts: My last mouse was a steelseries sensei Raw, and steelseries has the epitome of mouse customization software even in their Engine 2 (now outdated). Corsair's was an absolute nightmare to work with; I had to read the manual three times over to understand everything, and I still cant get the middle mouse button to doubleclick in SC2 (I can't find a way to bind mouse clicks in sequence in macros, only single mouse clicks or keypress macros).

I had a very comfortable palm grip with the Sensei Raw, but since that one is a narrower mouse, I can't do the same thing on this one; my ring finger is awkwardly in the edge between the right click and the side panel as opposed to cradling the side of the mouse comfortably. If I bring my ring finger down, my hand feels unnaturally stretched, forcing me into a claw grip (which I am not used to) and it may cause cramps in the future. If I try to bring it up for a smoother palm grip, the mouse is not the right shape for me to comfortably palm it, which may cause wrist issues later for me. However, these issues may just be with grip preference; I'm probably just not used to it.

I'm going to use it for a week and if I can't get used to it, I'll probably return and get a white Sensei Raw this time.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Price/Performance

Pros: Price
Software Options
Firmware
Durable
Sexy

Cons: Braided cable only

Other Thoughts: The only thing that kind of irks me is the fact that the braided cable some times gets caught on the edge of my table when I'm playing FPS games. So I have to tug or yank pretty hard while in the middle of a firefight. Its remedied simply enough by taping some slack at major junctures but still a minor annoyance.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bought this first and foremost because I absolutely love Corsair, and secondly to match my white/red themed rig I recently built. Was not disappointed. The mouse is great for gaming and regular use. At first, because the design is a lot different than most mice, it might feel a tad strange, or bulky because the contact points and its overall shape are different. But after using it for a few weeks now, going back to my logitech G5 feels incredibly awkward, and I will never go back. Fantastic mouse so far, and the wider design also accommodates my large hands quite nicely. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse for the Money

Pros: Wonderful Build Quality with the addition of the Aluminum chassis
Customizable weight system is great for adjusting the feel of the mouse
Sniper Button is great for precise tracking (in and outside of gaming)
Great Software to customize the mouse
Very large DPI range is great to really hone in the proper adjustments.

Cons: The grippy coating on the sides rubbed off about 3 months down the road. Not really the largest problem, but I wish it would have stayed on longer.

Other Thoughts: This is a really great mouse for the money. I came from a R.A.T 3 that had it's left click go out in less than a month. One of my friends had this mouse except in black and I remembered really liking the feel of it, so I decided to get one for myself.

I purchased the White version to go with my white themed build and I am not disappointed. The mouse feels really well made, which is mostly due to it's partial aluminum construction. It sits comfortably in the hand and the buttons are very responsive with a satisfying click. I haven't personally used the sniper button much, but whenever I find the need to ensure that my tracking is precise, I am glad it is there.

The software was initially a bit tricky to get to function properly. After a bit of troubleshooting I did finally get everything running properly and I am happy with the amount of customization it provides.

10 months later and this mouse is still going strong and showing no signs of failure. I would definitely consider buying another corsair mouse when the time comes to replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsMouse!

Pros: This mouse is quite white and fits well with my white setup. I love the fact that it has a high dpi sensor for big monitors or surround/eyefinity. The few extra buttons have a nice feel and arent easy to click so they cant be click accidentally which is nice. I dont use the sniper button but it is nice to have for other uses.

Cons: Things gets dirty. Anything thats on your hand... Oil, dirt, or even air, it'll get dirty but its easy to clean which is nice.

Other Thoughts: Great mouse with great features. Definitely recommend!

4 out of 5 eggsnice fit for larger hands

Pros: the way the feels with the weight is very nice. Wheel is sturdy finger sits right on the sniper button.

Cons: well out of the box i noticed that the right clicker was very very sensitive to the point that it might become a problem. But this is a problem with a palm grip with a claw grip you almoist forget about it.

Other Thoughts: my hand is 7 inches from base to end of my middle finger and it feels nice. I have had no problem with the sniper button since my thumb rests right on top of it.
