5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong after 5 years!

Pros: Not as loud as other CD-Roms I've had.
It works!
Plays/reads every CD that I've put in it.

Cons: Hasn't made me breakfast yet. I heard that was a feature on these but I guess not. Maybe it was the CD-Burner version.

Other Thoughts: I have had this exactly 5yrs 6mths while my LG DVD-Burner died a while back. LG GH20LS10

1 out of 5 eggsyou get what you pay for

Pros: Looks like an cd-rom

Cons: Works like a piece of junk. Didn't recognize, it did power up however but when i popped a cd in all it did was make some noise. I put in the cd-rom from my old dell pc and the thing worked right away. I kept that and sent this one back. What a waste of cardboard and peanuts.

Other Thoughts: If you have optical drives sitting around from old pc's, try those out first before you decide to waste your time buying a new one.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasant surprise

Pros: Is an awesome CD-ROM drive. It is lightning fast for such a cheap drive. The black matches my case, well almost.

Cons: I'm not sure what happened but when I was looking online I thought this drive also read DVD's. Guess I was hallucinating.

Other Thoughts: Only cost $13.99 so I didn't feel like sending it back for a different drive.

3 out of 5 eggsMostly good, until...

Pros: It's pretty fast. It's black face plate matches the rest of my box. It allows me to buy whatever discs are on sale. Overall, not bad.

Cons: This drive has been in my computer for 11 months of reasonably trouble free use. Now when I push the open button I can hear the belts turning and trying to open, but nothing happens. If I keep trying, it will eventually open. I suspect this will last for a brief period and then I'll need a paperclip. Time for a new drive.

Other Thoughts: I sounds like the problem with this drive is mostly a problem with the belts. I would still buy a liteon drive.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes Not Work

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Out of the box (so to say, more like bubblewrap) the tray did not open. Upon further inspection there was apparently nothing jammed inside or anything, it came out partways and went right back in, even when manually opening it.

Other Thoughts: Probably just a fluke, just remember you get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: -Reads really fast.
-Inexpensive.
-Easy install w/SATA

Cons: -Not as black in color as I would like, but does not look bad.

Other Thoughts: -I recommend this drive alongside a DVD-RW/CD-RW for a backup slash designated software install drive.
