I have not had the chance to test out lightscribe but it is nice to know it is there. Cons: I had one failed data burn when I first got it, it was the second dvd burned. Does everything I would EVER need it to. GREAT price! Cons: A bit noisy and bulky. Other Thoughts: Super fast shipping from newegg. running with Acer Aspire One, 1.5g mem, 120g HDD, dual boot XP and Ubuntu. It is a USB drive and so there was no need to open the computer case to install. Windows XP and Vista recognized the drive immediately. Cons: It burned quite a number of coasters at max speed. At first, I thought that the quality of DVD media (no brand type) was the culprit; however, after I got a new PC with a DVD burner, I was able to figure out that this drive was the culprit, because I had no problem with the other drive using the rest of the DVD media that I had bought. ATM im using TDK DVD+R to burn. Best if you buy the 100 TDK Disk Dvd+R or DVD-R from Newegg. Its way cheaper then the Brand name Stores.
