- Pros: Superfast burning for bluray, Pioneer reliablilty!
- Cons: non
- Other Thoughts: The other reviewer gives this BR burner drive 3 stars because of the oem software from another company...really?!!! He says the drive works flawlessly, yet gives it 3 stars! This is America 2009!!
Great!
- Pros: Very fast 8X Blu Ray. Works well with cheaper Blu discs.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: I've had this drive for a week now, and it is excellent. I've used it to write to Vinpower 4X BD-R's at 6x speed with no problems. I use Img burn, which says I can go to 8x. I've also burned and assortment of DVD+R DL's, both Verbatim, and Ridata ( no problem with the Ridata ). If this drive holds up like my other 3 Pioneer DVD writers, I'll be a very happy camper. New Egg service was great, as usual.

More Experience
- Pros: Since my previous review on 9/2/2009, I can definitely say that this is THE Blu-Ray burner to buy, hands down. I have since burned 30 decrypted Blu-Ray .iso movies, (well on my way to 50 now) on both Verbatim and TDK BD-R (25G) and BD-R DL (50G) discs @ 8x speed (despite the both brands of media listed @4x) without a single coaster! And this was with ImgBurn a free program, no less... This burnder has proven to be an awesome purchase and I have yet to have a single problem with it. And, while cost is an issue, I can certainly recommend that you take the plunge and buy this now!
- Cons: Obviously, price.
Lasers
- Pros: makes a great laser pointer.
- Cons: Out of stock because everyone is making laser pointers out of the blu-ray diode inside. Yes Pioneer they are out of stock here because we are ripping them apart.
- Other Thoughts: be nice if i could get one.
Awesome Burner
- Pros: Fast, reliable, good looking, burns blu-ray...
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: This burner is a little expensive, but all blu-ray burners are nowadays... It works like a charm...no complaints! Just make sure you are not using XP with blu-ray... I found that out the hard way!
