Pros: The drive works just fine. I did have one Blu Ray movie not work due to "firmware issues" but it may have been a fluke.

Other Thoughts: I did notice that Blu Ray decoding prefer a high end Intel CPU as opposed to a high end AMD CPU. Maybe it's the software I got (WinDVD 11) but I have a feeling it's a combination of both the drive and software. I switched from an AMD FX 8350 OC'd @ 4.5ghz to an i7 4770k OC'd @ 4.3ghz and the difference in the way Blu Rays are decoded are night and day. It is buttery smooth and quick now. The AMD did work but it seemed to struggle with it. This is just an FYI for buyers. No need to subtract from the drive as it works great.

Pros: The good, works with all non blu ray optical discs, but your only need a $20 optical drive for that.

Cons: The bad, crashes blu ray player, replaced with an ASUS blu ray drive and it works perfectly with a blu ray DVD in the same plu ray player.

Other Thoughts: The ulgy, was past New-eggs 30 day warranty so told by newegg to return to LG, what a nightmare, numerous calls to get an RMA, the same day LG received the drive they returned the same drive with the remark "Good Inventory", how bad is that. I did purchase neweggs service plan but does not go into effect unit 1 year from the date of purchase. Forget LG, ASUS better products and

Pros: Sleek looking, works like a charm, quiet. It's everything I could ask for, especially for what I paid. When I bought it in April, I still had a warranty on a Samsung BR-player I had bought that wasn't doing me any favors. I decided to use my PC as an all in one and sent the player back. Gaming, movies, TV, etc.. I would never go back. I don't have to deal with any firmware, blu-ray player glitches, movies not working (Cinavia prevented me from watching legitimate copies on the player I had purchased), etc... This was a solid buy, especially on sale. If you use your PC for a media center, get this drive. It's solid.

Cons: None that I can think of. Knock on wood.

Cons: Received an obviously returned (defective) drive. Klunker, RMA so see what happens with the replacement. Had better be a new drive. Talked to LG rep and he was certain the drive was defective. I absolutely know it was defective. Will post again when I receive the replacement drive.

Pros: I bought this combo drive to replace a Samsung model that had started causing me troubles. The Samsung had begun schitzing out when ripping CD's and had become excessively noisey during operation. The LG exhibits none of these problem. At less than $40 bucks it does all I ask of it and more.

Cons: My biggest complaint, minor quibble really, is the open tray button, it has not light on it and it's only slightly raised from the rest of the front bezel on the player sooooooo... I often find myself reaching around like Ray Charles trying to get my tray open. Not enough to take an egg though...

Pros: Purchased it for 1 reason, and thats M-Disk. Want my photos, all 10 gigabytes to last in a safe without degradation and thats what this drive is meant for.

Cons: Dual layer & M-Disk BR will be out soon so the drive will be obsolete before it's 1st birthday.
