4 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive, just be careful

Pros: The drive works great! I have had a few firmware problems with playing bluray movies, but that was to be expected when I bought the drive

-Works great
-Cost was pretty typical at the time of purchase
-Easy Setup
-Looks good

Cons: Be very careful when installing this drive. The mirror drive bay is actually a real mirror and I cut my hand pretty bad during installation.

In the past 2 years of owning this drive I have cut my hands on it a few times since installation while moving my computer.

This may just be a defective drive that I got with sharp edges, but none-the-less be careful when installing.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good :)

Pros: Works like it should. I've burned several DVD's and BD's with 100% success at this point. It looks good as well :)

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: No problems here. Plug and play.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Drive

Pros: It plays everything from blu-ray down to cd. Has a really bright blue light that can be cool or annoying depending on your preferences.

Cons: It's kinda loud, but what do you expect when it's spinnin' those suckers so fast.

Other Thoughts: I don't have a single blu-ray and I use this gadget to spin every disc in my collection. It's a really quality product.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Nice, Super Dead

Pros: Sweet mirrored look and love the blue eject button! Plays everything you throw in it.

Cons: Its dead Jim, dead! lasted 7 months and crapped out on me :( Shameful, i really liked it.

Other Thoughts: I hope Yours lasts longer. I gave it 5 eggs for the fact that it did everything under the sun when it was working.

5 out of 5 eggsReads everything I throw at it

Pros: Zero issues with this drive. It ready every disc I throw at it. Scratched discs from the library give me no problems.

Cons: Cannot think of anything.

4 out of 5 eggsGood blu-ray player, but very loud

Pros: Plays Blu ray just like a blu ray player should. The included software, Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 with other Cyberlink stuff, although a bit outdated by now, is still good and allows you to play the Blu-ray discs. Also plays DVD's just fine.

Cons: Although when watching a movie it's not really noticeable, this thing spins the discs in such a way that it is extremely loud. I noticed this when we were trying to play a Baby Einstein DVD for our 18 month old. Obviously, one doesn't need the volume at cinema levels, and so we turned it down, and I really noticed the noise coming from the drive. And when the little one is in bed, and in our small house have to watch movies at a lower volume, we can just barely do it because the disc spin noise almost becomes a distraction. I don't know if it's worth two eggs, but it's at least one.

Other Thoughts: I have not tried burning anything with this drive nor reading any burnt discs. Wouldn't recommend if you have to keep the volume low because of loud disc spin. Otherwise, it's a good drive. I hope the loud disc spin though doesn't mean it's about to poop out on me after only a few months of use.

1 out of 5 eggsWorthless

Pros: None

Cons: Let it sit for a while before installing. This thing does not read burned Blu-ray disks, at least the optical quantum ones I use. Might as well have flushed $50+ down the toilet. If you put a Blu-ray disk with burned data on it, it reports there is "no disk in drive Y:". I don't use it for movies so it is worthless to me.

Other Thoughts: Too late to return, so it goes in the garbarge can :-(
