5 out of 5 eggsI love Brother stuff! No exception here!

Pros: Brother is just THE BEST! ALWAYS! (Even their tech support)
I know this from previous lasers, etc. I have had.
This little printer is amazing! I installed it on 3 machines (Win7-64bit, MacBookAir, MacBookPro). I attached a couple of labels to an Evernote document, and presto!... easy to print from any of the machines! No locking, etc. Even has a built-in cutter (I was surprised). Quiet, Quick!

Cons: I'm trying to think of any... you need to use your serial number from the bottom of the printer to download the software... no big deal!

Other Thoughts: Good job AGAIN Brother. I now trust that anything I buy with your name on it will be ok!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Simple Label Printer

Pros: Great basic thermal label printer. This thing prints fast and the labels are always clear.

Cons: I don't love P-Touches software, but for what this printer does it's more than sufficient.

Other Thoughts: This is just a simple label printer for address, file folder labels.

2 out of 5 eggsSkip this one

Pros: Prints fast

Cons: Hard to use and tedious software interface takes forver to make the smallest labels. Thermal printer stopped working after 4 months. Brother support hung up on me for saying a bad word on the phone which was not directed toward them.

Other Thoughts: Will try dynamo next time around. Thank you borther.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little label printer

Pros: Prints fast, built in label cutter, software is decent, Windows 7 compatible.

Cons: The labels aren't that cheap, but not that expensive really.

Other Thoughts: I got this label printer to replace an old Dymo label printer I used for a few years. The Dymo was fine, but this one is miles better.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat label printer

Pros: I just purchased this unit but I also have this same model at work. The one at work is about 6 months old and is used to print maybe 30 labels or more per day. It just won't wear out.
That's why I got this one for home.
Newegg had it for a great price (about half) and free shipping. I couldn't pass it up. Speaking of shipping, I ordered it on Tuesday (2/1) and got it Thursday (2/3). Does it get much better than that? Only if the cost was free and it was hand delivered the next morning. Not expecting that, I'm satisfied with Newegg all around. Also, I must commend UPS for their fast, efficient service.

Cons: None.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works, Price is great

Pros: Simple install, Neweggs Price is 5 stars. I purchased 2. but it stops there....

Cons: The software install on XP Pro 32bit sometimes fails, Same with Win7. Using the label software is no easy task. Way to many steps to get to print just a single label. This unit as well as most are not a good option for just 1 or labels here and there. Best for large batch jobs with 50+ labels being printed. The peeps in my office still using the old Typewritter to do labels. Because it faster for 1 or two labels.

Other Thoughts: Price is king, Labels are price good. In the cold the labels may peel a little off of the envelope. Common problem. Easy fix. By HP or Kodak labels will fix that problem. It's not click and go to use. Navigating software to print single labels makes it not worthwhile for the peeps in my office. It will be batch mail label printer.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Little Labeler

Pros: - Fast
- Small
- Inexpensive
- takes a huge variety of media, die cut labels, paper tapes, plastic tapes, and others
- Software is fairly intuitive

Cons: - Terrible integration with other programs
- Database support/ integration is so-so

Other Thoughts: I have used other programs to do bulk letters from databases, and in comparison, the brother software is not very good, but that having been said, its a great, fast little labeler. I bought mine elsewhere over a year ago and i still think its great.

I can understand some comments about its poor database integration, but because i paid $50 for mine, and its frequently on sale for $40, and the dymos everyone who disliked the printer keep saying they're going to go buy start at $100, i consider it part of a different class. For what it costs, its an awesome little unit. The software isnt quite where dymo's is, but for half the price, for most use it is MORE than adequate.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy It!

Pros: I've owned a QL-550 (older "brother" to this model) for 4 years and am completely satisfied with it. I've probably put 3,000+ labels through it and it's never failed. The only reason I wouldn't buy this model is because the QL-550 just won't give up.

Cons: I'm not sure what software issues the 570 had but it looks like they were addressed to the buyers' satisfaction.

Other Thoughts: I bought mine 4 years ago for $99.99 and don't regret it. At $39.99, buy 2.
