4 out of 5 eggsGreat printer, but it's downsides

Pros: This printer is working horse. Prints fast, but you eill have to have high volume cartridge to make it last and if you refill your cartridge on your own, it will run at minimal cost of maintenance.
Aside from that it's full with options, fax, network scan, scan to usb, this is just to name a few...

Cons: Scnner's lid mounts broke off in about a year, however printing and scanning still works fine. hence -1 egg...

Other Thoughts: Overall I like this printer very much.

2 out of 5 eggsScanner/Copier (fax) quit working after 1 year 2 months

Pros: Worked wonderfully the first year. Used daily for printing multiple page invoices, scanning documents to email for customers, as well as making copies.

Cons: 2 months out of warranty and the scanner no longer works properly. The scan reader moves as it should, but does not scan. Now, all I have is a over sized printer that will not scan, copy, or send a fax.

1 out of 5 eggsdon't do it

Pros: It was cheap?

Cons: It pulls multiple pages when printing and also when scanning. It is really slow to start. Things won't fax there that fax on first attempt with our other all in one. I can't believe its highly rated, its a complete disappointment across the board.

4 out of 5 eggsAbout as good as it can get

Pros: Twain is a pro and a con here. The printing is excellent, the scanning is not so much. This is a twain support machine so there are tons of ways to connect to scanning here. Unfortunately the default software may be something a lot of office IT people have a difficult time setting up the first time.

Cons: I only docked this by 1 egg as the instructions for setting up network scanning are terrible. In fact, with the software cd's that came with my printer and the online instructions, it is impossible to set this up. All I did was set a static IP and download a free open source twain compatible scanner interface and was done.

Docked 1 star because the instructions and software included do not match. If you understand protocols and open standards no big deal, if you are just trying to get it to work, xerox has done a terrible job for the not so technically inclined.

Other Thoughts: Purchased for a customer's home office. What should have been a 15 minute setup took me about an hour due to how xerox has setup their hardware. It isn't a bad thing though as I have worked with similar stuff in the past, just don't expect scanning to be as plug and play as you'd like. The software included isn't really the easiest solution as well.

After installing, I spent awhile getting stuff together and have all new scans going to a dropbox using all 3rd party software. That is the biggest con, 3rd party software should never be easier for desired results compared with the software that actually comes with the machine. Eff U for your software xerox and nuance!!!

2 out of 5 eggsPrints well, scans ok, very bad software

Pros: It has worked well as a printer for the last couple of years. The scanner works well, although the bed had to be replaced (luckily under warrantee).

Cons: The two main gripes I have:
1. The interface for scanning is terrible. It is totally different than the fax interface (which is also different than the copy interface), and ignores buttons that would be helpful. On top of that, the options for scanning to USB or network or SMB are all different, with different interfaces. While it technically can scan to an SMB server, you only get one option of resolution/color/file format and getting to the settings for that is through many layers of menus. If using with one or two computers, the network scan is ok, but often it seems to be unable to connect for no reason (just says "unavailable"). That said, when it does work, it's great. The scans have been clear and crisp, and quite fast. You just have to get used to the truly bad interface.
2. Toner: the printer will completely stop working once it thinks the toner is out. There's an option to 'ignore low toner' but still, windows will not print to it. You have to replace the toner at a set number of pages, regardless of whether it's really run out.
Faxing seems to be disappearing, so my annoyance with the fax has become irrelevant: I unplugged it. It used to be attached to my phone line, and would randomly decide that a phone call was a fax and start squarking away! I just keep it disconnected until I know I need to send or receive a fax.

Other Thoughts: There are no windows 8 drivers as far as I know. Windows 7 drivers seem to work on windows 8 though. The web interface is KLUNKY and has different options to the front panel. The whole software/driver/panel interface feels like it's hacked together by a bunch of different people who don't talk. Scanning feels like an afterthought, although it's what I use it for mainly. Printing works well.

3 out of 5 eggsAwful software, good hardware

Pros: Pretty reliable, although we have begun having occasional issues with the ADF, although it's been here longer than I have

Cons: For network scan, software requires administrator privileges on local machine-completely unacceptable for a business environment. Scan to a network share isn't available on this model. We use the scan to usb drive function as a workaround. The software has the hideous visual appearance of windows 3.1.

Other Thoughts: If Xerox updated their software to support users running with standard privileges and made it slightly less hideous looking, I would be a major Xerox fan.

1 out of 5 eggsCrappiest Fax Machine Ever!!

Pros: n/a

Cons: Since our Business Office Obtained these i have never had a fax gone through successfully the 1st time. The feed always jams on the last page and destroys the document because the roller has a kung fu grip. Totally Useless. Pretty sure the purchasing office got a kickback.

Other Thoughts: Had to sign up just to give my review of this subpar product.

5 out of 5 eggsXerox 3210

Pros: Very nice printer. Looks great.
It's fast and the print quality is very good for black and white. No color prints .... (a good thing for the life and replacement cost of the cartridge).
The scanner is very good as well.
Way better than "BROTHER"
Not sure how the fax is...

Cons: far

1 out of 5 eggsNot going to buy

Pros: Prints well and hasn't ever jammed.

Cons: I have a Xerox multi-function Laser at work. The software to support printing, and especially scanning is grotesque. Plus, every time someone powers down their computer, the scanner software disconnects from the printer and we have uninstall, reboot, and reinstall. This is ghastly, and I'll be replacing this Xerox with another brand. Xerox telephone support has been accessible, though they' completely failed to solve any problems in 3 different calls. The last call, the Xerox support rep listened to my description of the software disabling, and then told me that since this is a software issue, I'd have to provide a credit card so he could bill me for trouble-shooting a software problem. "It's YOUR software that has the problem!" I retorted. He said it didn't matter, they charge hourly to troubleshoot all software problems. I suggest you stay away from Xerox. I'm going to continue shopping and buy a Brother printer for my home today.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy Xerox.

2 out of 5 eggsDissapointed

Pros: Nice quality and is multifunctional.

Cons: After running it for about 2 weeks, we noticed faxes stopped coming through and the line was busy. Power cycling it fixed it .. now, when we receive multiple fax pages, some of the pages are cut off and it drops entire pages sometimes. Called into Xerox and they told me this is a "Depot Printer" ... which basically means you have to take it somewhere to get fixed.

Other Thoughts: Will be the last Xerox I buy. Tech told me it's not uncommon to power cycle their fax machines weekly. That's a cop-out excuse. I have fax machines that have been running for more than 6 months without any issues. Would not buy!
