5 out of 5 eggsFor a low end printer very nice

Pros: Easy setup, cheap ink that last just like it says per cartridge. The High Yield cartridge last about 2 reams of paper under normal use (1000 pages)

Cons: None yet after installing 17 of these for clients in small offices. High quality pictures eat up color ink a bit faster.

Other Thoughts: I have installed 17 of these in the past few months for clients in the matter of minutes. USB install 7 mins, Wireless setup about 15 mins. If you are looking for high volume printing get a laser printer not a thermal ink one. Over all Cheap, easy setup, good quality prints.

3 out of 5 eggsGOOD PRINTER, BAD SETUP

Pros: Prints fast, does not use much ink. I give it five eggs for printing quality & speed Of printing but had to downgrade it for setup. Please see cons below.

Cons: This printer was one of the hardest things I ever set up. I tried to get it working for a week and finally gave up and called HP support. First HP person was in the Philippines and could not get me going so I was transferred to a level two tech in India. He also took over my desk top for about 2.5 hours and could not set up the printer so he advised me to reformat my operating system which I felt was a pretty drastic measure to set up a printer. I was ready to box the printer up and return it and I tried one more thing. I used a printer software removal tool I found on the Hp website to remove all printer drivers and I also plugged in the network wire to try & get it working instead of the usb cable. Something worked this time and it has continued to work since.

Other Thoughts: I still don't trust that it might stop working. I should have returned it while I had a chance. It wasted a week of my evenings trying to get it working. Weird thing is now that it is working I like it a lot.

2 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed With This Printer

Pros: Sleek, Easy to Set-up Wireless, Small Footprint, Printer Price , Print Quality

Cons: Uses Ink Super Fast, Have to Remove All The Paper To Print One Envelope, HP Support Is a Disaster!

Other Thoughts: This was a replacement for an older HP 6988 that was dying and it didn't have much features compatible with Windows 7. What a mistake I made. This is about my fourth or fifth HP printer, loved them all, except this one.

This printer comes with "SETUP" cartridges, which I was told have 1/2 the ink as a regular cartridge. I printed 2 color pages and the MAGENTA cart was empty. The manual says it will print in black if one or more color cartridges are out, IT WILL NOT. With the magenta gone, the printer was a doorstop. I bought a magenta cart and when I installed it, suddenly, without ever printing a page, the CYAN and YELLOW were empty!

HP Tech support is a joke and a disaster. They are clueless and of no help.

My advice, buy a different printer and save yourself the headaches.

2 out of 5 eggsNot for corporate use

Pros: Nice print quality. Fast and clean printing.... no complaints there.

Cons: You go through ink at a RIDICULOUS rate. Expect to change out the ink within a few days use of unpacking this printer. THEN, expect to replace ink with each ream of paper. Changing the settings to draft/fast helped some but did not produce enough savings to recommend this printer. We bought 3 of these to use at our corporate headquarters and the results are dismal and expensive to operate. I am giving this 2 eggs instead of 1 because it does print well.

Other Thoughts: HP should re-work this line to more closely resemble the K550 in ink use. It woud also be nice to allow the end user to disable wireless.
