5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works great! I was a little concerned about Windows 7 compatibility but it started up like a champ!

Cons: It's not free

4 out of 5 eggsHmm...

Pros: I got my surround to work.

Cons: I still can't adjust base and treble without the ridiculous creative equalizer option.

Other Thoughts: I'm thinking it may be my Dell computer that won't let me adjust my bass and treble cause no matter what I put in it I just can't do it. On the other hand, it seems creative has given up on quality sound maybe? Just not what it used to be back in the Live series days.

Once again, Newegg rocks!!

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a 7.1 soundcard

Pros: This is 7.1 but newegg saids it is not.
Very good sound card for music!

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: The full hight and retail one is here:

If you have a normal computer it is better to get the full hight one, this is for slim/low-profile computers.

5 out of 5 eggsBad Boy!

Pros: This inexpensive sound card blows doors on any mainboard integrated sound circuit. The sound quality is superb! Installation is a breeze. The provided utilities aren't necessary, but they're handy. GET ONE! You'll be amazed at the difference in sound quality if you're using on-mainboard sound.

Cons: Zero. Runs like a champ. Installs easily. Have owned this for a year with no problems at all.

Other Thoughts: Get good speakers for music, not speakers for games.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Worth It, Buyer Beware

Pros: Unknown, wouldn't work correctly

Cons: Rail is too short for standard ATX case, audio inexplicably fed back into speakers for no reason, couldn't get to work properly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, well-priced low profile card

Pros: Part of my HTPC. Ended up using the SPDIF out to avoid hum & noise from the PC motherboard. Luckily I only need 2 channel sound. Card does not need any special attachment or breakout box to get non-optical digital out. I used a regular 1/8 inch stereo plug to RCA cable.

Cons: No documentation (i.e. manual) either with the item or online. Had to figure the digital out stuff by trial and error.

Other Thoughts: Newegg shipping is the fastest in the world.

5 out of 5 eggsyes. it's a LP card (DUH!)

Pros: it sounds great for music. vista has native drivers for it.

Cons: it's not intended for gaming. if you want a gaming card that doesn't tax the CPU, get the extreme gamer or titanium.

Other Thoughts: if you're dumb enough to buy a low profile card without knowing what it is, don't give it a bad rating for your mistake! yes. it's a low profile card. it only fits in low profile cases. if you don't have a slim / LP case, don't buy this card.

2 out of 5 eggsIt's LOW PROFILE - Won't fit in mid tower

Pros: It's an audigy

Cons: It WILL NOT fit in your mid tower case without modification. Even after modifying with a hammer, still will not secure to the case. It's not made for Mid Towers and standard size PC's. It really wasn't stressed in the description so I hope someone else doesn't buy it thinking it's a regular size sound card.
