Audiophile grade
- Pros: Truly fantastic sound quality. The Analog Devices OPAMP upgrade for the front L/R analog channel really makes the card shine for 2-ch applications. Full suite of features including Dolby Headphone. Supports standard front panel headers. Solid and stable driver which includes vista support for those who need it.
- Cons: None that I can think of so far as the product itself is concerned. The driver installation did hang on me the first try, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the product itself.
- Other Thoughts: I use the card primarily for 2-ch stereo music listening and not for the various surround sound features. The Claro+ is unique in that it offers a special upgrade geared towards my kind. The Plus in Omega plus refers to the Analog Devices OPAMP upgrade for the front analog channel, and it's a steal for the modest increase in price. Most opamps don't cost more than a quarter, and even uprade amps not much more than 50 cents. The AD8620BR used on the Claro+ is a $23.00 part and it makes a stunning difference over run of the mill pieces. I expected improvements in imaging, soundstage, and separattion and got them in spades. What I didn't expect was the lush and natural tonal quality and effortless and non-fatiguing sound that I'm now enjoying. You can play things loud without any of the strain or harshness associated with cheaper drive components provided your speakers and amp are equally capable.
This is easily the best $xxx I've ever spent on an audio purchase.
One word - WOW!
- Pros: I bought this card to replace a Creative Professional Fatality X-FI XtremeGamer. I am running a triple boot with Vista 64 Ultimate, XP Pro, and Linux Fedora. Every few days I would boot up and get a loud screeching noise for sound. I initially thought it was because I was booting between Vista & XP but started just going into Vista and it was still happening. Further research indicated Creative has not been able to get this issue worked out. I uninstalled the X-FI sound card and all of the software in both Vista and XP. Downloaded the current drivers for Vista 64 and XP 32 from the website. Installing the sound card was a piece of cake in both Vista & XP and I had sound as soon as I installed the newest drivers from the HT Omega website. I do digital transcription and there is one particular person who speaks very low. When I selected the options for headphones it was louder and like he was in the same room with me! I can't wait to get listen to some music with the card!
- Cons: Pretty expensive, but you will not be sorry.
- Other Thoughts: Wish I would have done this months ago. I wasted so much time trying to get the Creative working right and it wasn't me or my computer that was the problem.

Clear as it gets.
- Pros: I just put this card in my new setup, and if you are looking for a card that puts sound quality in front of frills and gimmicks, look no more. My old setup had an MAudio card that sounded pretty good, but the drivers were buggy. However the CLARO Plus+ is in a different league. I am taking the output through a B&K PT 5 Preamp and with the Sennheiser 485's on the detail and depth is just stunning. If you are looking for a card that is all about sound quality, here it is.
- Cons: None for my purposes.
- Other Thoughts: Simple straight driver install under Win 7 64 bit.
QUALITY SOUND
- Pros: This card is the Ferrari of sound cards. I used to have a creative product and you can't even compare the two.
I have a portable Pioneer XM radio connected to the inport jact and it BRINGS THE MUSIC TO LIFE- WOW-
This card delivers high quality sound without the extra pops and hisses I used to get from my creative card.
The customer servcie is FIVE STAR. Before I made my purchase I through everything at them. I didn't want any surprises. THERE SUPPORT TEAM IS COURTEOUS and KNOWLEDGEABLE - OLD SCHOOL. When you by an HT Omega product rest assure that it will be come with tech support. They won't take your money and run. You can tell that they are PROUD of their product. It shows. ("Thanks Jason")
This card cost a bit more then the orthers but if you want to get the highest quality sound when listening to music or watching movies THAN BUY THIS CARD.
THIS CARD HITS ON ALL 8 CYLINDERS

- Cons: I wish I had trashed my Creative Card sooner and installed this card....
- Other Thoughts: Prior to purchasing this card I had a VERY bad problem with "speaker popping" I searched high and low for a solution... not one of them even mentioned that it might be the sound card...... I tried everything from reloading drivers to changing the electrical outlet that the computer was plugged in.... Nothing worked......
I started to research the various sound cards available and soon narrowed my sights on the HT Omega.
Before purchasing this card I knew that there was not going to be any surprises or conflicts thanks to all the questions that the tech team fielded for me.
HT Omega is the small guy who will be taking down the creative evil empire one customer at a time.
Alfter installing this card I have to say that I will ALWAYS have a HT Omega sound card install in my computer. This card will definetly be transfered to a new computer when the time comes.
DO YOUR REARCH
You will find that ....
HT Omega = High quality product and service
GOOD JOB GUYS
Less is actually more!
- Pros: Incredibly clear and clean sound, simple interface, high-quality parts. This is definitely the card for audiophiles. High-quality op-amps and capacitors. Has 7 levels of processing instead of 23 from the other guys. (Side note: turn off options that prevent clipping in WinAmp and you can see what this card is capable of.) No frills just great sound!
- Cons: Doesn't support EAX 5.0 (not really a concern). If you go into the Xear3D menu in the systray under the last tab there is a box to show/ not show configuration in the systray. If you disable this, you will need to reinstall your drivers to get the program back.
- Other Thoughts: The newer cards from the big C made voices tinny and you could tell interference was taken out with feedback loops and other gimmicks, so I tried these guys and boy am I glad I did. Using Sennheiser HD555's I can tell what kind of wood a guitar is made of just by listening to it! For great quality you need every link in your chain to be great.
