Fanastic OS
- Pros: Fantastic OS. Even if it cannot support more than 4 GB of ram, why get more if the OS runs PERFECT with just 4 GB.
- Cons: Not a 64-bit system, can only support up to 4 GB of RAM
- Other Thoughts: Best OS on the market, hands down
- Pros: If you are building a computer for a specific purpose and it involves networking, performance, or just about anything else - go with XP and forget the headaches. This is a well developed OS with lots of support at this point. While Vista is great, this is a 'fail-safe' for most purposes.

As advertised - OEM XP
- Pros: Pop in the CD (hit F6 to add AHCI drivers) and it loads.
- Cons: Need to register within 30 days, but easy to do online, or you can get the automated registration number by phone in just a couple of minutes.
- Other Thoughts: Why am I building computers when I don't have an internet connection?
