this and WIN 7 too!
- Pros: Installed with no problems. Contacted Microsoft and there is no worries about getting WIN 7 for free with this edition of Windows Vista.

Dissappointing Experience
- Pros: Slick interface, supports my 8Gb RAM, DirectX 10
- Cons: Randomly freezes requiring reboot

Resource hog
Takes a while to figure out where Microsoft hid various OS options to make things work right.
- Other Thoughts: I've run both XP and Ubuntu on this machine without freezing issues. I got Vista so that I could run 8Gb of RAM while still having driver support and support for games. I've noticed I've been using my computer less and less for non-web / gaming applications just because it's usually a headache to undo Microsoft's "process automation" or I wind up repeatedly rebooting when I try something new. I think I'm going to try to track down a copy of XP 64, so my computer is still useful. I cannot recommend this product.
Great OS
- Pros: Have not had any issues, love 64-bit.
- Cons: I-d-i-o-t-s complaining about Vista! Do some research before you buy anything! Vista was a major change in a few areas, sound being one of them and this was the first mainstream 64-bit OS (hardly anyone used 64-bit XP).
- Other Thoughts: I waited until SP1 was integrated into Vista before I purchased, and will do the same with Windows 7, well as long as the classic start menu is there! Search! Duh! I know whats on my PC I put it there!
