5 out of 5 eggsGreat for backups.

Pros: Used this to back up my old hard drive and move everything onto the larger one I bought two weeks later. The software is easy to install, and it's user-friendly.

Cons: None that I can see.

Other Thoughts: While it is user-friendly, I could see how some would have issues. Even the friendliest software can be a pain in some way. Luckily for me it didn't take long to figure things out and I didn't have to deal with the apparently poor tech support. Always nice to avoid that.

1 out of 5 eggsTrue Image?

Pros: Nope

Cons: This program has two messages when trying to restore:
NOT a True Image just created it!
Your file, you just created, and verified, is corrupted.
I've been through three versions. Guess I'm a slow learner.

Other Thoughts: Try something else..

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Data Backup

Pros: Easy to use. Has saved my data many times. Really like the scheduled backup.

Cons: Could be faster.

Other Thoughts: I use this on all my computers. The question has been asked, why don't more people back up their data?

3 out of 5 eggsPoor Tech Support

Pros: The software appears to work properly since it backed up a hidden partition on a laptop we own.

Cons: The tech support is outside the United States and since they don't speak English as their native language, they can not answer anything you ask them because they simply do not understand what you are asking them!

Other Thoughts: I have to knock down the rating of this product to 3 stars simply because the support is terrible.

However, I rate NewEgg 5 Eggs because they provided excellent service. It's a pity the company that made this product does not value their customers the same way NewEgg does.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat stuff

Pros: It does miraculous things I've never seen before

Cons: Still working on opening the 'childproof' protective wrap

Other Thoughts: I got the rebate in world record time. It was interesting that the rebate check was written out to me and just mailed outright itself like a postcard. The whole postal service got to touch my check before I put it in the bank, mostly i'm glad they didn't have any wildly loose ink on their auto roller sorters so it didn't leave any funk on the face of the check

3 out of 5 eggsworks as it should

Pros: No need to install; boots from disk and backups up computer.

Cons: Dynamic windows disks like the ones you get from software raid in Windows don't work on this software.

Installing on a machine booting from dynamic raid disks caused Windows XP to blue screen until I restored back to a point without Acronis software. I don't think there was a warning on the outside of the box for that one.

Other Thoughts: Similiar to the old Symantec Ghost product without the SCSI tape support. :(

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Ok, so I'm a noob when it comes to backing up hard drives and making images of them, but this software is so user friendly, that it was a cinch. I bought an eSata USB enclosure (get silverstone if you need one), and cloned my hard drive to my new WD 320gb 7200 RPM, and it worked like a charm. Took maybe an hour. I am definitely going to keep using this software. Don't go with Norton Ghost. Everything they make causes problems. I used to use their antivirus, and it would tell me I have a virus, but that it couldn't fix it. Anyway, definitely go with this if you're switching hard drives or just want to back up all your stuff periodically.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsCloning without a headache

Pros: Changed a RAID 1 250 MEG disks for a RAID 1 640 Meg.
I used a single 640 MEG HD as a clone between the two configurations and the automatic setting.
The whole thing went without a hicup.

Cons: Installation a bit finicky. It wants the computer for itself.
The only gripe: who is the paranoiac who designed the software key???
It is a pain, way to long. Typing it without a mistake took me three trials

Other Thoughts: Woth the money!!

Computer: DELL 410, 4 GIG RAMS, VISTA Ultimate

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very Easy to Use
Cloned like it says
Was up and running on an upgraded HDD in a couple of hours. Don't know the exact time to clone, but it was easy I set it up and walked away.

Cons: That it was only discounted $1.00, but it works

Other Thoughts: Very easy to use. I need to now explore using it as the primary back up software on my laptop to get the full use of the program.

5 out of 5 eggsThis was fun

Pros: I bought this for a small business owner who had run out of room on an old 80gig hard drive and he was very pointed about not wanting to loose data by upgrading to a larger hard drive. I stated," buy this!" Well, this program worked excellent!

Cons: Box didn't come with beer or a mail order bride from the baltics.

Other Thoughts: I never used this program before, but I did go to their website and research it and they stated it will make a bootable mirror image and it did! I took out the old hard drive and told the business owner to hang onto it for about a month. I really am glad this exists. I know others might exist, but this is the first I tried and I'm sold.
Took an XP pro hard drive on an old ide slot and copied it over to a way newer sataII WD 320gig which is attached to a very new amd HD4200 mobo(biostar 785GE) I didn't even format the new hard drive, this program hooked the hard drive up on it's own. Will use it again unless I find one just as good for less! I will look around too, just know this does work very well, as long as everything is NTFS. May have some uncompressing and conversions to do on my next job, we'll see how much work will be involved dealing with fat32. NTFS to NTFS is easy with this.
