You can freely customize the color or layout of the user interface to fit your drawing style. Various import/export formats are supported, including Photoshop (.psd/psb) format, and other software formats such as Manga Canvas (.C SNF). It even supports various workflow activities such as reading from a scanner and drawing a work for printing.
Customizable Pen/brush toolThe advanced pen pressure detection function allows for a natural, real-touch pen experience, while a correction function offers smooth hand-drawn lines. The lines features free resolution in vector format. Scaling up/down never changes the beauty of lines and you can freely change the line even after you draw it. Various brushes realize any sort of expressions such as watercolor, gradation, oil painting, pencil and pastel.
Generate a color as you desireIn addition to the color set palette, color circle and color slider, the Paint EX offers other palettes for finding a color that fits your image. Intermediate color palette can create an intermediate color from a maximum of four colors. Approximate color palette allows you to select a similar color by specifying the conditions like hue, saturation, luminance and value. Sub view palette displays a reference image from which you can pick up a color that you want to use.
Improve the quality with adjustment featuresThe Paint Pro is equipped with the adjustment feature to improve the quality of your book. Correction layer allows you to do the adjustment without applying directly to your image an effect such as brightness/contrast, hue/saturation/luminosity, posterization, level correction, tone curve, color balance. The 3D drawing dolls offer you a great way to freely transform the ratio of total height to length of the head and the body shape. 3D characters can be customized by freely combining the clothes, hair style, facial expression, and accessories. You can make up a scene for manga by laying out 3D characters and small objects with 3D as a background.
Extended features for manga drawingYou can conduct all the processes of manga drawing on PC, ranging from storyboard, draft, frame cut, inking, tone, background/effect to lettering. The frame border tool and border line split tool can easily do frame cuts. Various rulers enable you to neatly draw effect lines that direct different effects, such as expressing a sense of speed or motion or expressing a state of mind. You can directly convert a drawn content into a halftone dot “tone” simply by turning on “Tonization” for a layer. Freely change your tone even after pasting it, by adding or deleting relevant areas and modifying the number of lines or density, or changing the shape of the halftone dot. You can also create a balloon by setting the type, position, and length of the tail or the color or thickness of the border.
