Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced

Pros: This game is amazing and it's open world, mixed with rpg elements of almost all flavor of western rpg taste. The game is very long being there's basically a ton of things to do. This game is so great that people still use this game as a benchmark icon to see just how great their computer is rendering this game in maxed out settings. All I can say is bring on the witcher 3!!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: Buy it, it's worth every cent, these developers deserve every penny!

Pros: Very deep game. Good graphics and animations but not nearly on par with today's titles. Very complex character system and level up system. Story line is also complex (multiple story lines). These are all pros for the hardcore gamer that is looking for a real challenge. And I would only recommend this game for someone who is up for the challenge. Leveling up can be rewarding. Now see cons...

Cons: Very difficult game! ...and at times, unnecessarily frustrating. In my opinion, the structure of the story lines (yes multiple) feels rushed and overly complicated. It's basically a "war and peace" novel that lets you choose the path. The map system is almost useless and bad. It's more like a "general area". Sometimes your journal entries will point you in the right direction but most of the time they won't. Auto save system is awful, the points of save can be a death trap. (I constantly manually save because of this reason.) The gameplay is extremely glitchy and I am surprised that none of this has been fixed with all the updates. Several times during combat I get killed because something I try to perform won't take place. Enemies can either be too easy to kill or almost impossible. There is no good balance. I can spend an hour or so trying to win one boss battle. A lot of times the goal is NOT to kill a boss but something else is supposed to be done or take place. And the player does not know what that is. There is no explanation or clear order to quests. You just have to know the appropriate order. I've been using a guide. I don't know how the game can be completed without one. Even with a guide it is convoluted and difficult.

Other Thoughts: I set the game aside for about a year or so and just recently picked it up again since I finally have the time to go through it. I was also motivated by the knowledge of a new Witcher game in the works. I consider myself to be a hardcore gamer and if I have to use a guide to make it through a game, then to me, that's a problem. I can only recommend Witcher 2 if someone wants a real challenge, has a lot of patience and doesn't mind annoying gameplay glitches. I stopped enjoying the game halfway through. But I think I'm at the end and want to finish. I'm giving it three eggs because I have not come to a point where I want to completely stop playing. I hope this review is helpful and true to anyone reading. Pros: Supposedly this is a great game. The first one was good, so I ordered the Witcher 2 Enhanced.

Cons: DVD 2 cannot read all files, install fails. Tried copying the files directly to the hard drive and that fails. There are no visible scratches or scuffs.

Pros: I have had this game since it came out; it is in my opinion the best game of 2011 (within its class). Beautifully crafted game play makes the stunning world seem to come alive! No matter what storyline you pick it never gets boring or seems to lack intrigue. Worth at leased 2 replays and gives much more than one would expect for the price that you pay! In a gaming world that is sadly being overrun by tons of mediocre titles, this game proudly stands apart from all others!!

Cons: The only thing that left me disaponited was getting to the end. :(
