Batman: Arkham Origins

Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.

1 out of 5 eggswth

Pros: the case looks nice

Cons: bought the game 12-10-13 for an xmas gift, it didnt come with the key, contacted WB twice, and still no contact on 1-11-14

Other Thoughts: I'm not interested in just throwing 50.00 away at a time and more so giving out gifts to family members that are worthless.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: * Deathstroke Fight -- absolutely awesome combat environment for that fight
* The developers left the combat system / controls the same from the other games
* The Graphics Rock
* The storyline is incredibly detailed. When you enter an area on a mission it feels like the
developers went further than previous Batman games with regard to story detail and all the little
nuances that happen such as radio chatter, characters you encounter, things you deal with, it's not
just a quick 5 minutes, you can spend ~20-30 minutes in one building on one mission just because of all
the little details to the mission that add realism.
* Crime Scene investigations and reconstruction -- very cool story-telling feature.
* Copperhead Fight
* All the different types of enemies you fight -- there is a lot of variety and different ways to fight
each type of enemy that makes the combat fun.
* The game is long and elaborate. I like this a lot. Most of my other games I play, the game is too
short, but this game was about 15 hours with me doing some of the side missions as I went along.
* The Joker is painted much more dark in this game than other Arkham games -- much like "The Dark
Knight" movie -- I like it. It makes everything more realistic.
* The Bane Fights are AWESOME just as the others were -- the developers did a great job with these
* Great optimizations of the game (credit goes to NVidia here as well for releasing a game-ready driver
for this game about 3 days prior to release).

Cons: * Very limited interactions with women for Batman and that was always one of the fun parts of these
Batman games -- seeing hot women like Harley Quinn wearing very little. :) I miss Catwoman as well -- I
would love to see them get Batgirl or Catwoman involved again -- always enjoyed their flirty
interactions with Batman in the animated series.
* Different voice actor for Batman and The Joker from previous games. They didn't do bad or anything,
but it was just weird not hearing the same voice for Batman that we've had in the other games and in
the animated series.
* Upgrade system for Batman is not as smooth and user-friendly as Arkham City's version.

Other Thoughts: * Hope they make more of starting at the beginning of Batman's story, they can do so much
more and love these games so much.
I was able to play the game in 1920x1200 absolutely maxed to the hilt with very smooth gameplay -- rig
specifications for reference:

AMD FX 8350 8-Core CPU (4GHz)
