Question 1

Hi all who bought this for yoga 2 pro, I installed this card and the adapter dies every several random minutes (5min~30min) and the only way to get it back to work is to restart the laptop. Initially I thought the installation was loose and I plugged it in again but situation was still the same. Then I tried different versions of drivers, problem still not solved. Did I just get a bad card or is there anything wrong with my mobo, or did I just miss something?

I have it on my Yoga 2 Pro and it works great!!.
Did you install the new Intel drivers for this one?
The drivers on there are built for the single band N so you need to go to Intel’s website and download the newest drivers.
File name:
Wireless_17.0.0_e64.exe for just the drivers
Wireless_17.0.0_De64.exe for the whole Intel software that will control the Wi-Fi adapter instead of windows. (I believe)
You can always download the Intel "Driver Update Utility"
But I know that the old drivers for the regular 7260N from Lenovo blocked Intel from updating the computer’s Wi-Fi drivers so I had to get rid of them. I would get the message something like (Intel cannot update this driver please visit your OEM to get the updated version of the drivers)
I would try to uninstall all the old drivers then install the new ones to overwrite the Lenovo network stuff.
It looks like they just updated there drivers on 03/18/2014.
I am at work and do not have mine with me right now but when I get home I will take a look and try the new drivers and see if that is the issue.

PS: Newegg I understand you do not want links in your Questions section so it does not steer people away but you should make a list of allowable sites that can be linked like Intel, Microsoft, etc... just for drivers or only allow the link if it has the word support on it.

Will this work in an HP HDX 18t-1200 laptop?

No this will NOT fit in the HP HDX 18-1200 this one if for the M.2 slot you would need a Full sized Mini PCI.
I know they kind of look alike but your laptop has a full sized Mini PCI slot. As far as I know the 7260 only comes in half size Mini PCI so you could put it a half sized Mini PCI version of the 7260 (The 7260HMW) in it if you find a way to keep it in place since it is only half the lengths.

Also I see that your computer might be a Core2Duo and the 7260 was built for Haswell CPU in mind so many of the options may not work with another processor like WIDI etc…

is it possible to get this to work with a desktop like with the asus z97m(it has an m.2 slot)? and if so, what drivers would i need?

Yes but you might lose sata express functionality with that board.  Double check the specs.  All Intel drivers can be found at Intel. Com under the support section.  Just make sure you have the correct operating system selected.
