Nice. When it works
- Pros: Nice fast and reliable when it works (no dropped connections etc)
- Cons: Broke after about a year of use - apparently this is a common failure mode with netgear routers, the power comes on and the system locks. Reset, shaking etc result in no improvement.
- Other Thoughts: I haven't yet had a router that lasted longer than two years. I am trying minor labels instead of netgear/dlink next to see if that has any impact on quality.
Decent
- Pros: 1. Small footprint.
2. Bland white color goes with anything.
3. Can be laid horizontal or can sit vertical with included feet.
4. Easy to install driver.
5. Compatible with Windows XP networking.
Easy network setup control panel. Port forwarding, IP address reservation, hardware firewall, IP and content blocking, and more
- Cons: Some features on the control panel do not work. You cannot use the feature which emails you a notification when someone visits a restricted site.
- Other Thoughts: I've owned this router for over three years and it works fine. The wireless speed is slow compared to the new routers these days, but it works fine for my home network. Overall, a decent little router.
