5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive/Easy install

Pros: The is a very reasonable priced router that is easy to setup and works great. I have no deadspots in my house. Glad I didn't spend a lot of money as these routers have become commodities. So unless you need something to handle a lot of users, this one is fine.

Cons: For some reason (probably me) I could not initialize the router using the software CD. But the manual method (using the routers http:// address) described in the manual worked fine.

2 out of 5 eggsLike Counter Strike? TOO BAD!

Pros: Cheap, great for grandma!

Cons: Floods when updating server list on Steam. If this sentence makes sense to you, then DO NOT buy this router.

Other Thoughts: If you own Steam and play games that require a server list, DO NOT buy this router, as it CANNOT handle it. Apparently the router becomes "flooded" when refreshing your server list it will not update your list completely or at all. Latest firmware, regedit, Steam preferences, port forwarding, nothing will fix this problem. I will end up sending this thing back for sure.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Easy to manage and use, has a very nice physical look to it. I have had this product for over two years now, and I never had any problems with it. In my other home I changed my router twice now, and got another netgear this time because of it's suburb performance.

I haven't even updated the firmware in about a year now, and still no problems whatsoever. Great product!

Cons: No cons

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Wireless Router

Pros: Very easy to set up and manage. The routers basically work out of the box once you plug it in, and you have all the features you're looking for: Wireless security, lan / wan / guest networks / port forwarding / wireless repeating etc. I've tried other brands, and none of them even compare to the stability and uptime of my Netgear wireless router. I purchase these because the N wireless is too expensive yet, and I love the wireless repeating function.

Cons: It doesn't make me toast in the morning.

Other Thoughts: I buy these all the time for friends / family who need a nice easy home network set up without running cables all over their home. You can plug in one base station, and "wirelessly" send that internet signal to all the other stations without having to plug them into anything. You can then hook up your tv / playstation / computer / direct tv box / whatever to it with wires and they will receive the wireless signal from the base station. This feature alone makes this a no brainer purchase in my opinion.

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: I have owned and been using this router consistently everyday for over 4 years. I'm afraid this router has set the bar too high for any future routers I may a purchase.

Cons: I've had to reset it maybe 3 or 4 times over the course of 4 years.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately every piece of electronics has it's day. My needs have changed now that I require a N router. It was a good ride will it lasted.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet little gem

Pros: This is a sweet little gem that I recently purchased and learned some cool facts to share. Version 10 (the latest and last) is the same as the current WNR1000. This is directly from Netgear. It has the exact same hardware, same firmware, and even the same manual. Website download page will confirm. That means you have N150 speeds and future IPV6 compatibility! They had firmware that added IPV6 in January 2012 according to a web search, but it was pulled from their download page due to stability problems. At least it will be supported in the future.

Cons: Why was Netgear selling this along side the WNR1000? It is now out of production according to the Netgear product webpage, but it was sold with the WNR1000 for a long time.

Other Thoughts: Hope this helps others. When I read about this I was quite pleased and wanted to pass it on. I found it at another store on sale very cheap but it's a great little gem of a router.

3 out of 5 eggsNetgear WGR614

Pros: Ive had this router for about 6 years or more and its been working good, easy to set up and signal gets around my house.

Cons: The internet sometimes drops and you have unplug the router then plug it back in and you have to do this multiple times. Wifi doesnt get anywhere outside of my house even if its right outside. Its not as fast as newer ones.

Other Thoughts: Might want to consider buying one a little more expensive but if you dont have the money you will be okay

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, small, doesn't generate a lot of heat.

Cons: Range is absolutely horrendous. Could barely even reach adjacent rooms, and forget about going from 1st to 2nd floor.
