5 out of 5 eggsDoes exactly what you need for a fair price.

Pros: Cheap. Works. Great adapter if you want to connect to a duel band signal.

Cons: It's big. Sticks out quite a bit farther than a nub.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked, nothing spectacular

Pros: Having a dual band router, I wanted to try a dual band Network adapter. I had read many reviews and knew heading in that the 5GHz range isn't as good, but gave it a try. They are right, the range isn't very good. I did connect with my router from 2nd to first floor with one to two bars, showing 54-80kbps speed.

I've purchased a LOT of the refurbed Netgear adapters, all have been the WNA3100, all have functioned as they should, and I guess this thing functions normal as well. The 2.4GHz range on this adapter was similar to that of the WNA3100. Going to move this to a PC on the first floor that is rather close to the router and see how it does.

Cons: Cable is a bit short, worked in the WNA3100 cradle just fine, which gives it a lot longer cable.

Other Thoughts: I really don't know if there is an advantage with the 5GHz range for me. I live in the country, I don't have interference, and the WNA3100 adapters I use, when in range, connect to my WNDRMAC router at 300Mbps as it is.

Considering switching to the new economical Asus AC router

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It worked okay.
I never had any problems with range or disconnection
It functioned well
It has good bandwidth

Cons: While it does have good bandwidth it is not the best for transferring files over wifi. I don't think I ever got that 300Mbps transfer rates that it advertised but I never really used it that often.

Other Thoughts: I eventually had to replace this because it couldn't handle constant high bandwidth usage. (Playing PC games and streaming to twitch) After about 2 hours it would disconnect on me.

1 out of 5 eggsRefurbished?

Pros: They came quickly

Cons: These things are refurbished. I had a hell of a time getting one to keep and hold a signal. Had I known these were refurbished I would have never purchased them. The newegg headline did not say refurbished. Copyed and pasted the header below along with what is on this page.

I am not too happy with this. I understand that mistakes happen but I am still not too happy.

Other Thoughts: the headline on the shopping page

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine but...

Pros: Works great! I really don't have much of any issue with it.

Cons: it may just be my lack of Windows knowledge (I'm a Mac person first and foremost but need a PC for work) but it continues to have a box that pops up wanting me to install the device. The device is installed and works but the box continues to appear and I have to end the box in order to get it to go away.

1 out of 5 eggsnot worth the hassle

Pros: looks good,i run windows 7 and windows enterprise, failed on both windows enterprise crashed to blue screen.

Cons: these where not cleaned out and they are configuered to the last computer they where plug in to..called for teck support told me they could reconfigue it but i have to pay 39.99 for phone service.. recondition items should be new parts as well as the programing inside. and should work when you plug it in.. there is no refund on this item. my mistake for not reading all in details..

Other Thoughts: netgear needs to clean out all older software on refurbished items and reinstall new..and have free phone support for items for at least 30 days...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance but large

Pros: When I purchased the WNDA3100-100NAR I was looking for a USB 802.11a/b/g/n that would provide high performance with my high performance WiFi router. The WNDA3100 provides the high data rates I was looking for. Also, this unit is dual-band and it plays nicely with my dual-band WiFi router.

Cons: For a USB device that normally plugs directly into the computer it is surprisingly large.

Other Thoughts: Thus far it's large size, when compared to current USB memory keys, hasn't been a problem. It just seems odd to me.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: USB

Cons: Drops connection constantly. Took awhile to get drivers as the serial number is blacked out. Netgear wouldn't help -- "a refurbished product is no longer our product". Folks at tech support were super rude; save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.
