3 out of 5 eggsIt's ok, but.......

Pros: It looks good, and I like the plug and play ability. The base station looks sharp, and the phone has some nice looks to it. It has dual functionality, voip and regular land line. The sound quality is good.

Cons: Battery life isn't that good, and the phone dialing out is kinda weird. You can't just dial and go, you have to have the skype contact already on the program and then use "contacts"...a bit annoying.

Other Thoughts: This is Voip, so you get what you get with respect to your computer and the connection.

By the way, use the volume control on your computer (for the phone) to control the volume, wow that took a while to figure out...

Also, you may want to just get a skype adapter that can convert any phone into a skype phone...found that out not to long ago. Aw well, the CIT300 works fine for my needs.

4 out of 5 eggsLinksys CIT300

Pros: Unit works very well, have no regrets or complaints with operation of this phone, but read on.

Cons: No belt clip was in original package. Called Linksys support somewhere in Cyberspace, and they advised me to return the phone system to Newegg. Being that there was nothing wrong with the phone I called Newegg and they were able to somehow find one in a warehouse, (thanks guys, you're great.) I think that Linksys really needs to review their customer service policies!

Other Thoughts: Phone base is said to operate up to 4 units. I called STinksys customer support to find out where I could purchase an additional phone without base. I was advised to call sales, so I called sales and they told me that the unit was only sold with the base. Do they really expect someone to buy 4 units with bases and watch 3 collect dust.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Happy

Pros: When it works it works very well. Range is good and display pretty user friendly. Voice quality is good (not great, not bad)

Cons: For what ever reason the connection between my PC and this phone just stops working. I've updated the driver and software but still stops working. Tech support can't offer help beyond downloading latest software :(

4 out of 5 eggsCIT300

Pros: Good price. It is a compact design and looks nice. Clearity is good - based off your connection though as is anything that goes through the internet. Loaded fine so included software is good for XP pro SP/2

Cons: None really except I wouldn't trust the belt clip, not that I use it but someone probably will.

Other Thoughts: For Skype out calls - you must enter number then press Skype button. Linksys tech support didn't even know that one but google helps again. Skype contacts is just that so no Skype out contacts will sunch from computer to phone, this is by design so not really a con. I read some reviews elsewhere that were written by people who did not do much researching. The phone works excellently as advertised so don't look for it to do things that it was not designed to do.

5 out of 5 eggsCooler Than I Thought - Good for SKYPE Newbie

Pros: I avoided VoIP until it became a research project at the office. So I went to newegg and found what looked to be a nice phone. Turned out to be a great phone. Dual mode, meaning it works for SKYPE and for a regular telephone line as a cordless phone. Works all over the house and outside in the yard. Does it all with no complaints from either end of the call. Makes calling all over the country simple for even the SKYPE novice.

Cons: Without reading the manual, I wasn't able to figure out how to enter SKYPE numbers from the phone, but had to do them on the PC.

Other Thoughts: I wish the base supported WiFi back to the PC. That would be cool.
