Can I plug a USB stick on this and access it from a wifi enabled cell phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the device can do that, just be aware you should use a USB stick with a good reading speed.  The stick will be visible as a networked hard drive.  Hope this helps.

My Canon flatbed scanner has a USB interface.  Can the scanner be plugged into this device and the WAN connection plugged into my network switch and the scanner be accessible to the all the PCs on my home network?

One port is for charging only, the top one is for media sharing. 
Accessing media files over the network is different then trying to print. I would suggest a "print server". IOGear makes a good and inexpensive one with a USB interface.

I use it from about 100 feet and 3 walls and works fine.

I have a ROKU, but cannot use it at hotels that require Web-based Authentication for internet access.  I have read that some travel routers include a "client" mode which allows you to connect your PC to the router, enter the password for the hotel's authentication, and then can switch the router back to non-client mode and it will share the internet connection.  Can this product do that?  (Hope my question makes sense...)

You don't need to do any switching of modes, or even make use of a travel router that provides client mode. Get a travel router, or any router, connect it to the hotel's wired broadband connection in your room, and then use your PC (or I suppose browser on the Roku) to complete the hotel authentication piece. Once authenticated, your Roku just continues to use the wireless AP of your router. The hotel continues to see the outside router interface, no other changes required.

I have not tried it, and there is nothing in the documentation about use with a printer.
