Question 1

I just got a Netgear N150 to go with my new Charter cable connection, it works ok but I loose signal at one end of our two bed house. Will this product give me better coverage? We use a Macbook Pro laptop, a PC laptop and two iphones. We do not own television so are big users of Netflicks and the like, Skype too. Thanks in advance to your help :)

Kezia, buying this and setting it up as an access point will in effect extend the range of your current router. I have done this in my home. I use uverse.  Just make sure you order a cheap network cable that is long enough to stretch from either your Charter modem or your router all the way to this new router (the WD N750). (The access point option will not work unless you use the network cable, but it's easy to do this, and the cable is really cheap, trust me.)

Get a cat 6 "snagless" cable that is nice and long.

If you don't want the cable running through your house, you can either run it through your attic, purchase a color that matches your walls well, or just get a different modem than this one that has an external antenna option. (The WD N750 has only an internal antenna.)

Question 2

I want to find a router that can handle my wired pc (for high-end online gaming), and streaming hd video on a droid and verizon tablet.

Would this router choke up my wired PC?

I bought this router to use as an AP in a distributed network.
It works great for me, but I have nothing better than an N300 to compare to.

It has gigabit switch, so it should work well in theory.
Imo, try it with the built in QoS turned OFF, if your games lag.
If that fixes it, then try the process of configuring the QoS to your needs.

By default, the QoS is set up for an average house with a home office,
Which also streams netflix etc.  QoS seems to prejudice against gaming and P2P.  By manual configuring you can change all that I am told.

I am using in AP mode, which disables the QoS entirely.
Of great importance, you get a fre month of tech support through WD.
I didn't need it. It begins on the first call.

Wifi range is fair on 2.4g.. not excellent.  
Awesome for the price.

Is this router compatible with Samsung Q330 laptop?

Do not know about the Samsung Q330 laptop because I have a dell 8500.  However I really like this unit because it's a lot faster than the one that Time Warner provided. The only little problem I had is with the set up.   Had to contact WD for instructions and since I had a HP wireless printer had to contact HP to help assist with the wireless setup.   It works just fine with my tablet and another laptop.  Hope this helps.  Columbus Ohio

I am hooking up an external digital antenna to facilitate my TIVO, Roku, and TV/programming etc.  I plan to subscribe to Netflix and a few others.  I AM NOT USING CABLE!
My question is will the internal antenna fight with my external antenna?

I think you have the wrong idea about what antenna they are referring to. The wireless network transmitter of the router is internal and does not have an external antenna like some other wireless routers. The antenna in the router has nothing to do with your tv reception and has everythig to do with broadcasting a wireless network that you can connect to wirelessly with a laptop, tablet, or smart phones.

Will the CD set up also work for Windows 8?

I set mine up on Windows 7, however, the CD should not be necessary to set up the router, it's more of a convenience thing.  You can set up your router using a different method by typing your IP address (Usually 192.168.1.1) into your internet browser which will direct you to your router set-up page.  from there it will ask you for a user name and password (for almost every router, including this one, the username = "Admin" and the password = "password").  After you enter your credentials, you will be able to set up your router from here and change any necessary settings.

My router is not working, what should I do?

Are you able to get to the configuration page (your default gateway address)? Also have you tried reseting the router? One thing to make sure with this router is to check the firmware if you can because when I grabbed mine it was severely out of date.
