5 out of 5 eggsStill Alive and Kicking

Pros: This Router is like the little Engine that could. I have owned the router for about 4 years. at the time of purchase I had no Idea I was getting into a long term relation ship with this thing. If you need a basic cheap router this is the way to go.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Love it Love It, I connect to it at all times with an xbox, galaxy tablet two laptops and a desktop. two of which are wired (xbox desktop)

4 out of 5 eggsFairly reliable

Pros: This router seems to be mostly reliable. Its port forwarding is possibly hard to find (TRENDnet calls it "virtual server"), but they have one feature missing in many stock router firmwares: being able to map an external port to a different internal port number. Of course, flash dd-wrt on a different router (this one doesn't support it), and you have every feature you could dream of, but this router's stock firmware is still fairly good.

Cons: There have been maybe two times in the past 9 months where internet connectivity has stopped working, which were issues with the router. Nothing major, though. Power cycling the router fixed the issue.

Not compatible with dd-wrt.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money/time

Pros: It's cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Cons: Gets hot, unreliable, constant resets needed, after a while stopped working.

Other Thoughts: I bought this after reading the reviews; it was meant for my mom to use, so obviously I wanted it to be reliable. Shouldn't have cheaped out. I wasted too much time because of this box - random resets, wireless stops working randomly, now I wired ports are not working. I attempted to reset it, and it wouldn't reset, so I upgraded the firmware - that should've blown away all the settings, but it didn't. The wired ports still refuse to work. Useless.
And as far as people complaining about lack of N speeds... maybe you should've bought an N product to begin with? Kind of like buying a Corolla and complaining that it doesn't go as fast as a Corvette.

3 out of 5 eggsFlaky

Pros: Cheap, compact, good range (I guess?).

Cons: Constantly having to reset this router after a few days of use after family complains of not being able to connect on its wireless channel, or the wired channel. Sometimes one or the other locks up, occasionally both wired and wireless locks up completely at the same time.

Other Thoughts: No computers will be turned on in the house and the router will still show activity despite having a password set. I think its just in an endless loop or something.

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy

Pros: Functional
Cheap
Small

Cons: No N Connectivity
No Gigabit LAN

But for the price it's not a big deal. Not taking off an egg for that.

Other Thoughts: I got this little router for my wife while I was deployed. It worked with little fuss. I would buy another one if I didn't need Gigabit LAN or N connectivity

3 out of 5 eggsWorks...sometimes

Pros: Worked great for the first few months. Speed is fine, set up wasn't too bad.

Cons: It needs rebooted every day or so. I can't log in to it (wrote my password wrong, I guess) and don't feel like reconfiguring it after a total reset so I just go unplug it and powercycle it. Then it works fine for awhile again.

Other Thoughts: When I replace this one, I will probably spend a bit more and see what happens.
