Remote Management lets you make adjustments over the Internet. When it comes to reliability, security, and convenience, the TrendNet Wireless G router brings it all home at an unbeatable price!
Pros: Works after firmware update to v2b19. I received hardware version C1.1
Cons: When I bought it, it would drop the connection randomly. After firmware update to v2b12 (which was the only one available at the time) it still did the same thing. A week later, they release v2b19. This one stops the random drops!
Other Thoughts: It's working pretty good after all the drama. I read on a forum that some guy threatened them with the BBB so that they would give him the firmware update (v2b19) which they hadn't uploaded for 2 years since v2b12 (released 12/26/06). I'm guessing thats why they finally posted it on their site. http://www.trendnet.com/asp/download_manager/list_subcategory.asp?SUBTYPE_ID=1043

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: This product has a very strong signal (full bars at about 30feet away) and is highly reliable, it also runs relatively cool for not having a fan.
Cons: Home networking. It's not good for this because its a low in modle that doesnt allow for QoS (quality of service software) that allows you to choose what computer gets more/less bandwidth so unless you have a very high speed connection youll have issues doing things like watching movies or playing fames on 2 computers at the same time with this.
Other Thoughts: Excellent for people who have a high speed connection or just want to be able to browse then net on seperate computers. 3 eggs because if you arent aware how a router -really- works you will run into problems with this, but a good price nonetheless.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Straight forward setup with no glitches as noted in other posted reviews.
Great price,
Good signal strength even when using two laptops on network at same time. Distance from router is approximately 50 feet and going through two walls.
Have had for over 6 months with not a single drop since router was installed.
Cons: None at this time, but will update if any occurs.
Other Thoughts: Like and trust so much just ordered a second one to give to my daughter at her apartment.

Happy and lucky owner

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Cheap when on sale with rebate, reliable, configuration options, multiple connections are stable, small, and removable antenna. Simple to use web interface or easy setup option (great when loaning to friends). Streams video much better both wirelessly and through the lan than my Linksys WRTU54G-TM from my silicone dust dual tuner. Everyone I've loaned it to didn't want to return it as it performed satisfactory for them. I now use it for traveling since it's pretty compact.
Cons: Range is shorter than my other routers even on full power and range setting compared to my Linksys router, defaults to channel 6 like most routers which seems to interfere with them, speed on wireless connection is slower according to connecting computers though when moving files or streaming not noticed compared to the Linksys, harder than some brands to configure, and lacks features such as usb ports, open source capabilities, firmware updates, and stand for vertical mount. I did have a dead spot with my Blackberry which is wireless G in a far off bedroom corner which I don't with the Linksys, and my other wireless G computers claims higher speed connection to the Linksys as well.
Other Thoughts: I've had this router for over 6 years using the C model firmware which I have updated to the latest version. I initially bought this when C*****A was a brick and mortar store and bought it during one of their sales. I've never had a problem with this router as it was always quick to restore it's connection to the Cox ISP (they're intermittent connection, had this problem with several modems and routers). I have compared this with a few friend's routers with this holding it's own and in many cases outperforming theirs with factory firmware. This one ended up being my travel router so I can connect my blackberry for wifi calling and laptop in a hotel room, it's been replaced by a Tmobile Linksys due to @home feature for my home line. I used it for my home for over four years before reducing it's role.
