5 out of 5 eggsWorks great and nicely priced

Pros: Easy way to add wireless access to my desktop.
Easy install with drives dl'd from TRENDnet website.
Setup took about 2 minutes.
Works with Windows 8.
Fast Newegg shipping.

Cons: A bit bulky, but does come with USB cable if space is tight.

Other Thoughts: I didn't bother using the included CD for installation. Newer drivers were available online

5 out of 5 eggsVery underrated, reliable adapter

Pros: Amazing price, durable, never had any issues with it whatsoever in the 2.5 years I´ve owned it.

Cons: May not be the fastest if you do a lot of uploading (YT, etc.), but it´s good enough for competitive online gaming and most users in general: It is plenty good enough to stream videos off YouTube while playing an MMO without any lag issues. The only time I really encounter lag is when I am running a game patcher downloading multiple GB worth of data which uses up a lot of bandwidth while trying to do other things.

Other Thoughts: Been through quite a few wireless adapters, including some 60$ ones, and they never seem to last. After two 60$ adapters broke down on me after several months of heavy use I decided if they were going to wear out on me I might as well get cheap ones.

Well, I decided to get this one and never had to buy another one because 2.5 years later it´s still working, despite heavy usage. Writing this review now because I am buying another one.

If you do a lot of LAN file sharing or uploading, the bandwidth on this adapter may be a bit limiting, but this adapter is plenty fast enough for most needs. I´ve had no trouble installing MMOs with this adapter though downloading and playing at the same time can create some lag issues.

Online gaming doens´t really use much bandwidth (heck in the old days we used to do raids on dial up), and honestly reliability trumps speed IMO if you do any sort of competitive PvP. This adapter has not disconnected me even once in 2.5 years so I am quite pleased with it.

5 out of 5 eggsSold many

Pros: Good range and bandwidth for it's size. Comes with extension cable if needed. Works with Windows 7 even though it is not listed.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Wifi strength = Antenna size. There is no getting around that and this one is is mid range. I ordered 5 the first time and I am ready for more.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't even work

Pros: Looks like it should work...

Cons: I plugged it into my newly constructed computer and nothing happened... I took it out and put it in my fully functioning MacBook and nothing happened... No light, no nothing.

I'm surprised because all reviews told me that it worked well and that it was worth it, but so far I am very disappointed. I went into the procedure of sending it back but it looks like I would have to pay for shipping and handling to send it back for a replacement which would be more than just buying a new one. I'm not going to buy a new one though because I don't want to have to deal with another broken product.

I have to say, I am disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product for Windows 8 Compatibility!

Pros: It was delivered in 2 days!
I used the included driver disk to download the Vista driver, making it easy to use on my new Windows 8 Toshiba laptop.
After a re-start, everything fell into place and worked with no extra effort on my part.
I like the extension cord from the laptop to the adapter.
It doe get warm, but, it does not effect me nor my laptop.
I'd recommend to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: works great! simple enough setup on XP and easy plug and play on Windows 7 (I tried it on two machines just to be curious). I bought this for use on an older machine to run wireless in a detached garage and it does the job perfectly

Cons: occasionally drops signal... but what wifi doesn't?

Other Thoughts: I bought this on sale and I wish I would have gotten a couple more... this thing just works great for as cheap as it was...
