2 out of 5 eggsNot so useful

Pros: It did work for a while, but after falling into dis-use for a couple of months, it didn't come alive again. It wasn't worth my time to troubleshoot. Probably a SW problem.

Cons: Not very useful in a network, as only one computer can be logged into one device at time. Too much hassle.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks SOMETIMES, bad/no user interface and little help

Pros: It does work sometimes. It has multiple USB ports (although I have only used one at a time...I had plans to use it with multiple printers). It was cheap. It works most of the time.

Cons: It cuts out and suddenly I just can't use my printer. The printer just keeps "pausing," and it's very difficult to get it back. The set-up was very difficult and there was no help anywhere to be found. I had to figure it out myself, and I can't even remember what I did. It also does not have software that supports a Mac.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this to others. In retrospect, I would consider paying more for individual print servers than trying to combine them into one.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: I was able to store things in the box it came in.

Cons: This device is absolute garbage. We purchased a number of them for our company a few months ago to help users without flash card readers connect to the device via the network.

They do not work AT ALL. Only one user can connect to a device, if they are lucky. Most of the time they cannot even do this.

1 out of 5 eggsUnnaceptable

Pros: In theory, you can set up multiple devices on one IP, through proprietary driver emulates an USB port in Windows so in theory scanners and other devices not designed to work with function addresses should work.

Cons: Proprietary Windows driver for the print server required (no Linux or Mac). Every workstation and every guest who want to use the printers must first install the driver. User interface includes a virtual "printer switch", i.e., before you print you must check the availability of the printer and manually connect to it, connection times out every 3 minutes. Even if this was acceptable, in my testing the connection was buggy, you couldn't connect to idle printers and if you did it would time out before you could return to your document and print it. The average office user would never put up with these extra steps, nor should they have to.

1 out of 5 eggsNot work like should be

Pros: Nothing...

Cons: Do not work at the same time with all the computers in the network,... you need to request to disconnect from the computer that own the control and then reconect from the computer where you need to print. Buuuuuu !!!

Other Thoughts: I say all

2 out of 5 eggsTin

Pros: It was cheap and the price was just right.

Cons: You can only connect to one device at a time and is annoying that you have to install the client on every computer. If you are using this device as a printer server then beware that not all printers are compatible with this device. I call the customer support to see if I get a refund since my printer is not compatible, but they wouldn't refund me. Buy at your own risk.
