2 out of 5 eggsFine for general web browsing, horrible for gaming.

Pros: Connects to the internet from a decent distance away with no drops. Fine for general web browsing.

Cons: Ping randomly jumps from normal to 1000 in online games, even if you're in close proximity to the wireless source with no obstructions or interference. After owning this adapter for 3 years, I've had more than enough time to test every possible variable and have concluded that it is the adapter at fault. I've moved my modem, moved my PC, and even put my computer and modem into the same room with no other electrical devices and ping still jumps randomly.

The only thing I've noticed is that if I'm physically touching my computer, the jumps will stop.

Other Thoughts: Perfectly fine for general web browsing. Anything ping sensitive will not go well.

2 out of 5 eggsShort Life

Pros: It was relatively cheap when I got it. It was easy to install and did work well for a year and a half.

Cons: After having it for not even two years the max speed it is achieving is 2 Mbps, I switched to a different card and was getting the full speed of my ISP.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay card.

Pros: Works great. Comes with a good program.

Cons: Doesn't work well from about 30 feet. Card will spike.

Other Thoughts: It's a great adapted, but I can never get it to get good enough signal. You get what you pay for though!

2 out of 5 eggsMeh Meh Meh

Pros: Internet pops up.

Cons: Lots of things. First off, this wireless adapter is very inconsistent. When I was playing games the ping went from 50 to 1000 randomly. First I thought it was my internet, but I tried the same with my macbook pro on the windows partition and the signal was consistent throughout the whole game. Also this adapter can't catch signals very far. So if you live in a big place I would not recommend this product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Fantastically!

Pros: These cards work amazingly! They seem to receive over an incredible distance, even when our router is in our basement.

Cons: Not wired. WiFi will never equate to Wired.

Other Thoughts: Work great, cannot ask for better quality, I would buy again, but I can't!

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 3 months

Pros: Cheap, drivers installed easily

Cons: This adapter consistently had a very low signal or disconnected from my router over the course of 3 months until it eventually died completely. I thought at first the low signal strength was due to interference between the router and myself (a couple of walls over the course of about 30 feet) but my netbook wireless strength was always better and after buying another wireless adapter for my desktop, the signal strength is much better on that as well.

Other Thoughts: For a cheap adapter, this will connect you to the internet, but there are far superior adapters out there. I was very disappointed that the signal pickup quality was much lower than I expected from such a highly rated item. And of course, the adapter dying completely after 3 months sealed the deal for me that I would not recommend this product to another person.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrible network adapter

Pros: Connected to my router sometimes

Cons: I bought this two years ago and it would not get more than a faint signal to my router 20 ft away. Utter junk. I feel ripped off.
