1 out of 5 eggsWorked for a bit and then died

Pros: Cheap, plug and play, and when it works it works fine.

Cons: Its cheap, it would only work intermittently, short life span.

Other Thoughts: I bought it because it was cheap and I really got what I paid for. This is the second Rosewill brand network adapter I have owned and neither have lasted more than three months. Seriously just save your money and buy something better. It is also totally possible that I just received two defective units.

2 out of 5 eggsIt works, but not all the time.

Pros: When it works it does a great job, having the antenna helps immensely with signal strength

Cons: It disconnects randomly, twice while writing this review. And takes about 30 seconds to reconnect.

If you're unlucky and it just dies, happens about once every day, the only way to fix it is to restart your computer

Other Thoughts: If you want a reliable product, never buy Rosewill. Especially for networking, stick to the Belkin, Netgear, or ASUS.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I had hopped for.

Pros: Price, Price, Price and functionality

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This thing works very well. We don't have it very far from the router so I cant speak to the range but I can tell you that it was a breeze to hook up (just plug it in, enter password, move on) and m y son, who no longer has a gaudy wire running to his room, is very happy.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy installation, excellent reception and speed

Pros: Easy to install on Windows 7 x64
Full bar reception, I can also see a bunch of other networks I couldn't see before
Fast
The antenna cradle is useful, I can easily hide the antenna behind my monitor

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I bought one for each computer. Both worked perfectly. I have only owned them one week.
These replace two Linksys AE6000 that never worked right and kept disconnecting.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: - Cheap
- Easy to install
- Good for browsing the web, and even streaming videos.

Cons: - Unstable connection. Connection will frequently drop while downloading larger files or while playing games that require an internet connection.

Other Thoughts: Purchased as a backup after having connection issues, and eventually total failure, with my dedicated network card. Gets the job done while I wait for a replacement to arrive.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill Wireless N300 Adapter

Pros: I seem to be getting better signal strength now, than just using my old adapter.

Cons: Speed test results seems to be a little jerky, but speed seems normal.

5 out of 5 eggs3 years old, still going strong

Pros: I bought this in November 2012. 3 years later, and it's still working fine. Currently using it to get wifi signal in my airstream, from 200 ft. away! For the last 3 months has been outside, on porch (covered by awning), in mostly humid weather.

Cons: After 3 years, the USB connection isn't as tight as I'd like it to be. Have adapter at funny, crooked angle -- so I'm using a rubber band to secure it in the cradle.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: It's an update for me,and it holds solid 54 Mbs on my old ATT dsl modem/roouter which is on the other side of the house, behind 3 walls.

Cons: Doesn't drop the connection but if you watch it for a while you will find out that it's dropping packets, not very often but it does. Not good for on-line games.

Other Thoughts: It's worth the money for sure.I would suggest Realtek drivers instead of Rosewill.Realtek driver is newer and works with Windows 7/8/8.1 If you are trying to get better signal for home use-this adapter is your best bet.If you trying to keep solid redundant connection-look for something else.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks with Raspberry Pi

Pros: Works with Raspberry Pi distros out of the box, no need to download drivers or firmware. Also works on the Raspberry Pi B+ without the need for a powered hub.

Cons: My only complaint about this adapter is is adapter housing. The housing is flat and wide. However, the width is the problem. Many computers (Raspberry Pi included) have USB ports close together. The adapter is too wide, it blocks the neighboring port. If it were designed to be long and narrow it wouldn't block neighboring ports. Technically I can use the included USB extension (which is nice), so this is a minor gripe.

Other Thoughts: I specifically bought this adapter because it was listed as working with the Raspberry Pi and because it's N300. Turns out N300 is the downlink speed, the uplink is N150. I was bummed when I realized this, but rereading the newegg description they do mention this, so the fault is my own for not reading closely. That said, I still would have purchased this adapter - I guess I just wish it were N300 both ways.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price. Antenna is of good quality with strong signal.

Cons: The unit would overheated when used without the cradle and stop working. Recommend using cradle at all times.

Plastic housing around USB connector was a little loose.

Cons: It completely quit working after 11 days. It no longer is recognized nor light up activity. Cost to return shipping is not worth sending back for a replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: very fast
strong signal
dual band
can install just the driver if you want
good range

Cons: (not a big deal at all) USB could be countersunk slightly more

Other Thoughts: I had a Belkin F5D7050 USB wireless G stick and switched to this and my connectivity went from around low/medium and 5-11mbps constantly cutting in and out to a solid connection of very good with a constant 52 mbps. Connects to the router that is in the exact opposite end of my house.

Pros: Fast enough, convenient, great signal

Cons: Didn't last long, says that it supports windows 8 but no drivers are to be found exclusively for windows 8. It is costing me more than half the refund price to return my defective product

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Long USB cable, works fairly well (when working)

Cons: When I first purchased this adapter it ran well with 100% signal strength and link quality to my router. It would have the odd timeout/disconnect once a week, but that was minor and usually self corrected. That lasted for the first 6 months of usage.

After 6 months, the timeouts and disconnects continued to get worse to the point where I will have multiple disconnects and timeouts over the span of an hour and now requires me to unplug the adapter from my PC (which sometimes still does not correct the issue). Also, my signal strength dropped from 100% down to between 40-70%, even though the router and adapter have never moved.

For the price, it is a decent adapter if you simply need to get connected to the internet. I do not recommend buying this adapter if you plan to heavily use the internet for video streaming, gaming, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper easy Win8 install

Pros: Small and compact device, fits into a laptop USB port with ease but is wide so it may block adjacent ports. The dongle also has an indicator light to show connectivity. Installation on Windows 8 was a simply matter of plugging it in to the laptop. Drivers automatically installed and the laptop automatically switched over to using the dongle. Wireless connections managed through the standard Windows 8 wireless control panel. Nothing needed to be installed manually for it to work.

Cons: A little wide so it may block adjacent USB ports on a laptop.

Other Thoughts: For the price I am extremely happy with this purchase. I went from getting 3-4 bars of signal strength to getting a full 5 bars constant. Installation on Win8 was a breeze (literally just plug it in). It also works with the EULA authorization my work's guest Wi-Fi requires before a connection establishes (kind of like when you go to a hotel and a webpage loads first that you have to accept an agreement on before the Internet access works).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great! Maybe Throttling problems

Pros: Works Great! Im using an Wireless-N Router that is about 20ft away through a wall, Via Ethernet cable i get 30mb/s down 6mb/s up, and via This Wireless adapter pointed toward my Router, i get 26mb/s down and 5mb/s up.

Cons: Ive Noticed when im downloading large files, (15GB+) it some times throttles or even disconnects from my router. It maybe a router issue, but ive noticed that. Its only disconnected 2 times, but i was throttling at 4mb's for about 10Gbs then it disconnected, and i had to manually rejoin my Wireless network. but for using it as much as i do, and it to only have 1 disconnect, that Could totally by my Routers fault, this is Definitely worth the money!

I was weary about the reviews before i bought this, but im glad i did go ahead and buy it. Totally worth the money hands down.

Other Thoughts: There are negative Reviews, Yes, but think about this, how many of these peoples issues, are actually related to their outdated Wireless Router or Wireless Gateway?

This product is great and for the price, It cannot be beaten. The fact i can point the directional antenna is worth its weight in gold.

1 out of 5 eggsships with vista drivers only

Pros: Easy install.
Easy uninstall.
Collects dust excellently.

Cons: This PCI card would have been my only way of connecting my PC to the Internet. Unfortunately the only drivers they ship with this product are for Windows Vista, so I can't even do that. After installing them and dealing with multiple crashes and subsequent system restores I just gave up. Now I have a brand new part for my misc. useless hardware collection.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE NO WAY OF DOWNLOADING THE CORRECT DRIVERS.

1 out of 5 eggsToo bad

Pros: Full bars, long cable. First day pulled in a lot more signals and with full bars.

Cons: After the fourth time using it it started dropping connection. Now it only sees three signals out of about twelve. None of which are the open signal that I use.

Other Thoughts: After reading reviews I took a chance not expecting greatness. I thought I would get a little more than one months of usage.

Pros: Very fast, long range.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to get wireless on my desktop when needed and it always works great. I can download up to my cap (25 mbps) with my ISP and get very fast speeds transferring files over the network. Huge range on this guy! Full bars 60 ft away from the router through 3 walls! Love it!

1 out of 5 eggsdrops signal

Pros: great signal strength, my router is on the first floor and my desktop on the second.

Cons: this think is VERY unreliable. It will randomly for no reason drop the signal all together. this is easily fixed by unplugging the device and plugging it back in. being as I play games online i will be looking to get another adapter or just go ahead and pay my ISP to come out and put a network jack upstairs. it sucks to be in the middle of a raid or worse in the middle of a race and drop connection

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing power and Signal Strength

Pros: Amazing Signal strength. The router I hook to is more than 100 feet away and I get perfectly 5 bars, even at the height of the day's radio frequency interference. It also runs at the maximum speed the router allows no problem, with no packet loss. This is all despite the Wifi hotspot for my apartments being in another building across the parking long. The device it self is high quality in construction, though the little it dock it comes with might be unnecessary, but it's nice to have. The Antenna it self is a good 9 inches long and it's got amazing power.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is that this one didn't come with the manager my Encore wifi adapter came with. Which means that I'm not getting an exact read on what my current signal strength is, nor on what the link quality is. Which is disappointing. But that in and of it self isn't a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination.

Other Thoughts: Of all of the external wifi adapters I've owned, or borrowed; this one is actually the best I've tried. It certainly shows that too, because it's one antenna is longer than the ones that have two that I've tried. I've used ones with two antennas that together aren't as long as the one on this, and they did almost as good. But none of them could sit across the room and still get five bars. I had bought a fifteen foot USB cable to go along with this planning to hang it in the window that faces the apartment building office. That was not necessary. so the cable is used for the charging cord for my MP3 player so that I can at least wander around a bit while charging up. Also the cable that comes with it's little stand/dock is at least 4 feet long which means you have lots of slack to place the adapter itself where ever you want to.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent, but wifi cuts out on occasion

Pros: Works most of the time, low latency

Cons: Doesn't work ALL the time. Occasionally I'll have the wifi cut out while I'm playing an online game, which forces me to unplug the dongle and restart. This happens on average once a day.

Other Thoughts: It's cheap, you get what you pay for. I'm going to return mine, and if I get a better one that doesn't drop wifi connections then I'll update this review

5 out of 5 eggsTerrific WiFi Units

Pros: Versatility for connecting. Intuitive, easy to use software.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Have been using these on my home built computers for better than a year now.
2 computers have XP and one has Windows 7.
I have all 3 of them communicating with my system in rooms that are 10 to 35 feet away from my D-Link DIR 655 router.
Have never had a connect problem or drop out with any of them.
In fact one is connected to my living room computer that I use exclusively for streaming.
Again - no problems or drop out.
Versatility is great. You can plug them into any USB port.
If room is a factor use the base with it's extension cord and place the antenna on a table top or on top of your computer.
Bottom line - They work - I highly recommend these high gain antennas.

2 out of 5 eggsGood (at Times)

Pros: - Works perfectly (most of the time)
- Cheap
- Comes with Antenna

Cons: - Drops Signal occasionally, which can be a real pain when your in the middle of a game.

Other Thoughts: If you don't mind the occasional disconnect, then go for it. Otherwise, look for something else.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Price vs Preformance

Pros: WOrked solid & was plug & play for me. I went ahead and got the latest drivers jst in case. Doesn't run to hot.

Cons: The base of it is kind of fat, so you might wanna use the included USB extender.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend every time for a low cost adapter solution.

2 out of 5 eggsFrequently drops connection

Pros: External antenna helps it receive a much stronger signal than the internal antenna usb unit it was meant to replace.

Cons: Drops signal several times per day. My old USB wifi stick had a pretty weak signal as it is quite far from my router, but it very rarely had connection issues.

Other Thoughts: Has some sort of built in spy technology that is able to determine the most inconvenient time for me to lose internet, which then drops the connection automatically.

Works great when it's connected, but never seems to stay that way.

Not even worth paying to return it, as shipping is very near the original cost of the unit!

4 out of 5 eggsWifi adapter for Linux

Pros: It's cheap & it works. This unit is a plug & play for Linux OS 12.04 & up. May work on older versions too. No drivers to download..wooh hoo! Good reception also.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: After two weeks of trying to get my Netgear N-600 wifi adapter to function on a Linux OS I gave up & scanned the forums for alternative wifi adapters. Although this one was really not mentioned, I checked out Rosewill web site along with others to see if they were compatible. At this price even if it didn't work I wouldn't be hurting because it would work on a MS suzuckz OS. I'm about 138 meters through the trees to the access point & I get good reception.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Easy to install, and very convenient! Can be plugged in directly via USB, or left on top of desk on stand. Comes with a USB cord to plug into computer for those wanting to have it free standing. Connects perfectly, with full bars, and with no issues with walls or range. No connection issues whatsoever, and connects, for myself personally, at 130 Mbps.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Very easy and convenient, would definitely recommend this! Huge bang for your buck!

1 out of 5 eggsStopped working

Pros: Worked for 4 days

Cons: On the fifth day it went in/out of connection. This weekend there was a patch for Win 8.1 and I am guessing thats what killed it. I uninstalled the drivers and everything on my computer associated with the product then reinstalled. Worked for 5 min then out totally. This is the second one I owned and this one is a dud. I gave the other one away to a friend and had no issues from it.

Other Thoughts: Would be great if this was 3.0 compatible.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great, for a time

Pros: Worked wonderfully for upgrading my wireless-g laptop to get faster WiFi speeds
Range of the antenna picks up networks that other devices can't

Cons: The USB plug is wide, if your USB connections are close together this may end up blocking 2 ports.

Other Thoughts: After about a year of light use the fastest download speed from speedtest was just under 1Mb/s, on an older wireless-g adapter on the same network I was able to get 6Mb/s. I have tried all sorts of troubleshooting to no avail, something is wrong with the hardware.

2 out of 5 eggsLooks nice, but can't hold a signal

Pros: Looks nice
Good gain

Cons: After obtaining this device, I put it to the task and used Insider to monitor the signal strength levels. It had a significant gain in DB as opposed to the standard thumb drive I'm currently using, however as it turns out the signal was very poor, fluctuating widly over time. Additionally when testing this with Speedtest.net I found that this device would only get about 1/1t0 the speed of my standard drive as well.

Other Thoughts: Money is better spent elsewhere.

Pros: Well It was great for the first month and a half that I had it. After that it keeps dropping!!!!!! It's still on the same place that I had it when I first bought it.

Cons: well like it said it stopped working as it's suppose and in not even that far from the router. The is a wall between us that's it and I live is a really old house.

1 out of 5 eggsThe Bane of my existence

Pros: It works as advertised

Cons: For the first week I had it everything was working smoothly, but then a week later it started to drop connection every so often. I thought it was normal since my router is on the second floor, so I just changed the position and didn't give it a second thought. Now it drops my connection every few minutes or so. It's almost impossible to game with this issue, and it's really annoying. I'm debating whether I should get a huge ethernet cable and routing it through my floor into the room where the router is, or just buy a better adapter.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent! Worth the Money

Pros: This thing provided and adequate solution to a minor problem with my home network. It was easy to install(USB), and the software and drivers were great. The range on this adapter is superb. A quality i will attribute to the sleek multi-directional antenna. Picked up my wireless network on the other side of the house and never drops connection. I would recommend to a friend.

Cons: I may be splitting hairs, but the usb cord could be at least a foot longer. Then again, you can always get extensions that suit your needs.

Other Thoughts: I have bought plenty of Rosewill products in the past, and they have yet to disappoint.

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not work up to spec

Pros: Easy to install, came with everything needed

Cons: Disconnects randomly(2-3 times a week), does not work up to spec constantly, averages 25mps download when I get 50mps internet(which my laptop gets no problem). I bought this adapter because it should be able to handle much higher internet speeds than I get, but clearly this is not the case

Other Thoughts: This product has a lot of good reviews, with some bad ones mixed in. I guess I got one of the bad adapters

1 out of 5 eggsIf you're looking for a stable connection, DO NOT buy this

Pros: When it functions, its actually a pretty good little adapter.

Cons: Where to start... I built myself a gaming computer in the middle of November. Bought this little adapter cause I was already stretching my budget, and it seemed decent.

First month I owned it, after only a week or 2, it started having constant issues losing connection while I was playing online games. Fought with it, hoping that it'd start working right again, and after 2 to 3 weeks.. maybe a month... of it losing connection, it started working properly. A month or 2 down the road, and its playing up again. Constantly losing connection while I'm in the middle of battle, leading a squad of people. It gets extremely frustrating.

I wouldn't recommend this adapter to anyone. And when I can manage to get enough money to buy an internal wireless adapter, I will.

2 out of 5 eggs802.11n Not Ideal

Pros: It's got a fast downlink, and it is actually a clever design, more manufacturers could provide a USB extension/base.

Cons: 802.11n uplink (upload speed) is horrid with my router. I have two of these, one in a Win7 x64 and one in a Win8.1 x64. No matter what drivers I try, or router firmware revision, the uplink speed is around 0.3 to 0.5 mbit. This affects not only WAN (internet) speeds but LAN (home network) speeds.

I'm willing to guess this is a compatibility issue with my router, the Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N. However, all other 802.11n clients work fine.

Other Thoughts: I could not find anything on the internet about this problem, so it might just be a weird compatibility issue with my router. But I thought I would bring it up here.

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsDisconnected

Pros: Easy setup, good range

Cons: Constantly drops signal, can be an eyesore

Other Thoughts: You should only buy this if you don't mind having to regularly reconnect to your wireless. Sometimes it will go hours without disconnecting and other times it is just minutes.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Buy

Pros: cheap

Cons: After about 4 months time it started losing signal constantly , I've tried switching usb ports, reinstalling drivers, even took it out of the stand to see if that was the issue, flat out doesn't work. I've bought other adapters for cheap that still work to this day, signal never drops like this piece of junk.

Other Thoughts: I understand some products come DOA or faulty, this one is just low quality from how its preformed.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: The price point is eggcellent. Easy install. Very small footprint. Working just fine.

Cons: An oddity. Rosewill's utility didn't install with the driver. Still trying to figure that out??

Pros: Same speed as ethernet and constant connectivity!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I did not expect much from this thing since it's connected through USB and only cost me about $18, but it proved me wrong!

5 out of 5 eggs**OTHER OPTIONs**

Pros: Great with ANTENNA. You can buy other antennas that are 7 and 9 dba. However, I need one with a LONGER cable and they don't even list the length of this one! But PRICE is right.

I WAS going to recommend a Ubiquiti WifiStation, ext USB High Power Adapter that I have used for 3 years. I got it for $15, and planned on buying a second one. IT comes with a 10' USB micro cable, and I bought a 15 ' (tha'ts right 15 feet) and it works great. With the internal Wifi I only get 1 bar and often get none. But with the Ubiquti I usually get 5 bars.

Like I said I planned on buying a second, where I had it in my WISH LIST for like $21.95 they have gone thru the roof, they are now asking $34.95!

However, considering how good it works I will probably PAY the PRICE because this does NOT WORK for me.! I use it in the summers in Europe where my wife has family. I cannot afford to get Internet service there so use a cousins Internet service via the Ubiquti device. I MUST have one with a cable that is 10 feet long because of the setup there but with a longer cable I can mount it on the wall or even outside (its waterproof).

Cons: Poor design for my need, cable to short, can not mount on wall or outside, and not weather proof!

3 out of 5 eggsWorking on a Mac... no instructions for set up

Pros: Good signal strength, very happy with the corded design and antennae adjustability.

Cons: No instructions for installing on a Mac at all. I consider myself above average with computer hardware and software, but admit that networking is a weak point.

Other Thoughts: I worked on this for a while and kept having my wireless network connected for a few seconds and then drop. I was at the end of my rope. I did several google searches to try and find an answer to no avail. I got real disheartened after reading a review that Rosewill Tech Support said they don't really support Macs. I started shooting in the dark and stumbled onto the WPS tab in the utility. I was able to enter the PIN from the adapter into my Wireless WPS setup (on another machine attached to my network) and then it stuck.

5 out of 5 eggsworking ok with Rasbery PI and XBMC

Pros: works out of the box, decent price, signal level, supported by RaspBMC

Cons: Can't list any yet. Long-term viability to be seen

Other Thoughts: Got it as "smart TV', to play videos from synology. Good enough for this purpose. Supported by RaspBMC out of the box, nothing to load/upgrade.

Not AC model, but N provides enough bandwidth to stream from Synology 1080p 10GB mkv files.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful product!

Pros: Easy to setup and install. No drivers where required on Windows 7 64-bit which makes it perfect for traveling techs that service customers always complaining about "their WIFI" This is perfect for when you need a connection fast! This get a very strong signal, although I have not seen a 300Mbps connection with any adapter I have tried yet. The most I am getting is about 145Mbps. for $10.99 I am very pleased.

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: I will update this review in time. If you are getting weak wi-fi-signals with your integrated wireless, this may be the quickest and cheapest fix.

5 out of 5 eggsIt does work with Win 8

Pros: This a powerful unit for home wireless. It does work with Win 8 as WEP 'Open' but not as WEP 'Shared'. Has something to do with the network controller.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I set up an external wifi system with two 6ft antennas and "Bullet" adapters. These were installed before Win 8 was introduced and the only system that would with AP-Repeater is WEP. It was set up as Shared and would not work with a 3rd party adapter on Win 8 except as WEP 'Open'.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well With Linux

Pros: Easy setup, works out-of-the-box with Slackware 14.1. It's nice that it has a USB stand that you can position farther away from the PC to increase signal strength/reliability.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Save yourself some time and download wicd to manage the wireless connections instead of trying to edit all the .conf files by hand.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill Antenna

Pros: External antenna with a base that sits nicely behind my desktop. The ability of this antenna to establish a constant connection with great reception was my main objective. I would definitely purchase another one of these for wireless connection.

Much better than the little usb antennas that only stick out a couple of inches from the port.

Cons: Nothing negative to say about this item. Been running strong for 13+ months

Other Thoughts: i will never be buyying rosewill again.

5 out of 5 eggsMore than satisfied

Pros: Very good range, easy installation, never drops connections. Good price for this class of adapters.

Cons: I didn't found yet.

Other Thoughts: I had four RNX-N180ube. They work flawlessly 24/7 almost 2 years. One of them began to show signs of dropping connection and was replaced by bought new one two months ago. Now my networks has 6 RNX-N180. All of them work OK.
Usually I install ONLY driver for these adapters, no utilities. Realtek always has latest driver for them.
I guiess this adapter is one the best in a class 300 Mbs adapters.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: This thing is catching so many wifi signals in the area that it's quite ridiculous. From my couch with the original wifi antenna in my laptop, I would get my router signal, and maybe one or two more in range. After I installed the drivers I get a list of nearly 15 to 20. I live in a small townhome circle and seems to be grabbing almost every households signal now. I have not yet run a full out benchmark on the wifi but I am getting 35 Mbs on speedtest.net on Cox Preferred 25 Mbs connection. I'm in love with this thing. You can also reverse the connection and turn this thing into a wireless Access point!

Cons: None yet!

5 out of 5 eggsGret Item but.....

Pros: Great for the price. Great range able to maintain a 28Mb/s download easily. File transfer speed on the network is not hindered by the card at all.

Cons: None about the product. However...
I paid for 3 day Shipping . I have ordered many times from Newegg large and small orders. I needed this item relatively quicklyso I paid for the faster shipping. However Newegg did not ship this for 2 days and then the 3 business day turned into 6 because then UPS for some reason added another day. To be fair Newegg reimbersed my shipping, I still felt this needed to be shared.

Other Thoughts: Rosewill has really been impressing me with their products lately. They used to be known only for low end junk but they seem to be trying hard to change that while still remaining affordable.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great, but you HAVE to install the disk.

Pros: *Nice large antenna.
*Comes with a pretty nice stand.
*If you don't want to use the stand you can hook it into your computer directly.
*Range is excellent.

Cons: *CD required for install.
*No windows 8.1 drivers :(
*Didn't really run right until I plugged it into the base it comes with, but that may have been more so a problem with where my tower is, its under the desk so I can see why. On top of the desk it works fine.

Other Thoughts: You pretty much have to install the CD to get this thing to work. It did come with a pretty nice utility program that informs you of signal strength and quality among other things. Not really a con because its something that you should automatically do, but could be a problem for people who do not have an optical drive on their computer.

Signal strength on this is excellent. I previously had a Xbox 360 slim with built in wifi that I was gaming on, until I switched over to a computer. Back on the xbox my ping was alllll over the place. With this thing I have it in the same spot I had the xbox and it works great. Im getting full bars and the link quality is always between 98-100% (aka great ping for games.)

All in all this thing is well worth the money you pay for it. I was surprised I could get wifi this good! Battlefield 4 with no ping lag!!! :D

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Easy to use. No problems setting up. Works great through a floor in home.

Cons: Kinda big. But I'd go for this bigger antenna over a smaller one just cuz it prolly makes a little difference. That's the whole point if you don't mind the size.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter Than Most.. Maybe Best Of Show

Pros: Easy install on W7-32bit. Greater performance than other adapters. Small indicator light.... a nice little plus. All adapters benefit from having an indicator light. This one is very small so it doesn't intrude, but still there when you want to verify function.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I'd had 1 of these for a year, and it consistently outperformed others on my WiFi network. When these went on sale, I replace all the others. What other 5-Egg reviewers said about this adapter, I say "ditto".

5 out of 5 eggsGood Brand/Great Performance

Pros: Ease of setup.
USB connection
Sturdy Base for Antenna
Never a dropped signal

Cons: With WINDOWS 7 pre-download latest drivers from site prior to installation.
Actually though, you should be doing that with everything you install anyway...
Not REALLY a ding against the product.

Other Thoughts: I already own one of these adapters and it has been working flawlessly for some time now. Since I only have 65 mbps download at my apartment even a 150 mbps adapter would have worked just fine, but with the history of this adapter already a known factor and equal cost factor I decided on getting another one just like it. The Rosewill brand is a good one and I can highly recommend this particular adapter for home gaming without reservation.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Using this on an older system that is far from my router. It has considerably better reception than the internal card I had been using. I have not had any issues with it dropping connection.

Cons: Its USB so it is a little slow at times - but this was expected - so not really a true con.

Other Thoughts: Works as advertised, good USB wireless card, worth the money if you need increased signal strength and have to use USB.

4 out of 5 eggsCan't Connect via N with speed 300MPS

Pros: Nice fast speeds connecting to my Apple Routers.

Nice discount price. $12.99

I can Multiplayer with ease without any lag from the built pc i made with my cable connection speed

Perfect Wireless card for my build since there wasnt much A/C wireless adapter cards yet but in time, yes.

Cons: Can't connect via N even thou it says its capable of but it doesn't bc i can't use the speed of N, why?

I like to test out [-Virtual Wifi allowed-]
But after enabled, it goes disabled.

Stuck on Connection of G, now I can't view of how i did it the 1st time i did it of which connection im connecting at, at speed info......

Speed: Tx:72 Mbps Rx:144.5 Mbps

Where's the rest of my 155.5 download speed?

Other Thoughts: Connects to my Extreme & Express but likes my Express than my Extreme, so it has to travel 2 floors down than the main floor when my extreme connects extended wirelessly to the Express one, go figure.

Can't use my old Linksys wireless N router bc it only goes up to 144.0MPS while my Extreme 5Gen goes to 300MPS.

Tested just a stand alone router an connects by 144.5, even change the connection, went down to 54.0, lol

I installed it via [-ISO to USB-] since my new pc doesn't have a Rom in it yet, might be the reason, probably should try install it on my laptop or my brothers desktop to see how well that goes.

But other than that, I don't understand why it can't go 300MPS. Other than probably its not an A/N but does say it can so I still don't understand that.

Would be nice if I can get it up there & if I can try out the Virtual WiFi allowed option.

I tried going to the manufacture looking for the main out of the 5 options of software/drivers downloads, but its a bit confusing with the option getting [-Virtual WiFi allowed-] to work to make it stay enabled.

I use a WPA 2 AES encryption.

Feels like I've been robbed & there's more of a problem other than it does connects and loads so fast with my built pc during gaming a viewing webpages.

Besides that, I'm Happy with it, I be more Happy if i got the speeds it said this has and if the Virtual Wifi allowed worked. I would give it a 5 but bc of that, i give it a 4.
