1 out of 5 eggsDid not work with Windows 81

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: none experieneced

Cons: Prevented windows 8.1 pro from installing on a new build.
Would always cause a crash shortly after booting windows 8.1.
After installing windows 8.1 with all updates and installing all adapter drivers, windows still would not allow the card to function.

Other Thoughts: Should be made obvious that it does not work on windows 8.1 pro (64-bit). Not even worth returning because of shipping cost.

1 out of 5 eggsCrashes Windows 8.1

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: Maybe works

Cons: This wireless card repeatedly caused Windows 8.1 x64 installation to fail. Once removed, the install completed but the provided drivers did not enable the card. Having windows choose drivers to install while connected via LAN resulted in a Windows crash with the following error: irql_not_less_or_equal

Other Thoughts: This card worked briefly after a couple crashed restarts on a 32bit version of Windows 8.1.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Like a Champ

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: Well, I am running XP but it works great for me. I am two walls and forty feet from the router. I am surprised and interested in many sub-par reviews here, so I am putting in my thumbs-up!

Cons: I have no cons.

Other Thoughts: Decent hardware / good value. Installed on GigaByte Z77M-D3H board.

3 out of 5 eggsits bad for windows 8.1 users (but there's a fix)

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: its very stable i guess

Cons: DO NOT PLACE CARD IN WHILE USING WINDOWS 8.1 THIS WILL CAUSE YOUR PC TO RESTART CONSTANTLY / BLUE SCREEN

Find out how to fix this here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/SingleProductReview.aspx?ReviewID=4189976

Thank you New Egg reviewer

3 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: Good stable connection

Cons: Well this product made me write my first review because i feel bad for whoever buys this product and have to learn how to install it on Windows 8.1 all by themselves.
This product is definitely not worth the hassle and after about a week of figuring out how to finally make it work it seems like i should have just bought an Asus product instead.

Other Thoughts: Directions:
So if you are like me with Windows 8.1, here is the correct and only way of installing and making work without blue screen.
1. Do Not Install adapter in PC yet.
2. If compter doesn't yet read .RAR files then download WinZip app off windows store
3. Download ASUS software drivers (forget the Rosewill software, delete them all if already downloaded). http://www.asus.com/Networking/PCEN53/HelpDesk_Download/
4. Open file with WinZip
5. Turn off, and unplug PC.
6. Install Wifi adapter.
7. Turn on PC
8. Now it should work.....if not please let me know.

3 out of 5 eggsInconsistent Speeds

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: Reasonable price, easy to install.

Cons: I think the drivers or the firmware for this wireless adapter are sub-par. I find that consistently my WIFI speeds will drop to about half of what my dual band 802.11n router supports. If I power cycle, I get full speeds again. I know it's not wireless interference because I can hold my smart phone right next to the antennas and run a speed test and get full bandwidth.

Other Thoughts: I am going to find a replacement that works more consistently by a better brand.

1 out of 5 eggsNot for fast internet

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: Good range

Cons: Max Internet speed is slow. Peaks at 40mpbs.

Other Thoughts: The range for this is good. It reaches my wifi extender that's about 75ft and couple walls just fine and pulls 30mbps on speedtest.net which is the max for my wifi extender. I figured out how to move my modem and router from my living room and upstairs to one of the rooms. The router is now 25 away from my main computer in the master bedroom. This wifi adapter was only able to pull 40mbps which is sad. I have a 4 year old MacBook air pulling 90mbps and a newer Samsung laptop pulling 95mpbs. When my main computer is connected with a Ethernet cable I can pull 130mbps. I don't think I will keep this junk in my computer since its bottlenecking my internet speed. If I can't find a good wifi card that can at least compare to the wifi laptops then I may have to run a Ethernet cable into the room.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat once you get it working.

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: -Dual Band
-Fast
-Great Range

Cons: Install was difficult. I ended up downloading ASUS N53 PCE drivers (http://www.asus.com/Networking/PCEN53/HelpDesk_Download/) to make it work.

Other Thoughts: Honestly it's good value but it really needs to come with updated drivers. i spent an hour trying to get it to work. Also I couldn't get the Windows 8.1 drivers from Rosewill to work. The README attached to it is very sketchy and actually blames Microsoft for the driver problems, which is a bit stupid.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previous review

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: Works like a charm now. All that was needed was to download the windows 8 (not 8.1) driver onto a thumbdrive, then install it on my computer that has 8.1. The 8.1 driver is not in a readable format for the freshly installed windows 8.1 OS, so it's utterly useless. However, upon installing the windows 8 driver, in a .zip folder, my computer instantly recognized my home wifi and I connected. HOOZAH!

Cons: This is a very confusing and stressful process to have to go through while setting up my computer. I had just barely gotten my last parts for my computer, and was anxious to get it started, but I couldn't for the whole day because I wasn't able to connect to the internet.

Other Thoughts: *** important note***
If installing the new windows 8.1 OS, KEEP THIS DISCONNECTED!!! For some reason if it's connected during the installation, you'll get an ugly blue screen that will give you a serious headache to get around, and the OS will not want to make your computer it's home.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, Up to 300Mbps(5.0GHz) + 300Mbps(2.4GHz) Wireless Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 2x High Power Dual Band Antenna

Pros: Um...

Cons: The driver doesn't work, and my computer doesn't detect the connected adapter. My computer keeps telling me to just plug in an ethernet cable to get an internet connection.

Also, the description says that it has windows 8 support, but the guide it comes with doesn't say anything about installing it onto windows 8, just previous OS's.
