5 out of 5 eggsSolid product, came back for another

Pros: Easy to install, works very well with no problems, software was easy to install, just bought a second to make my wife's comp wireless

Cons: None come to mind

Other Thoughts: Was shipped very quickly and received earlier than I anticipated.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of Money

Pros: Drivers for Linux support monitor mode..

Cons: Regardless of what signal power the card reports having, it will not connect, refuses connection to even a phone sitting next to it, an access point in the next room, etc. No matter what it will not connect to anything for more than a second.

Other Thoughts: I purchased two because I wanted to rig some home networking, and they were cheap. At first they would connect, but just barely. They would frequently disconnect and reconnect. After a few weeks they would not even connect anymore, whether I was using them on Windows or Linux.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works. Good speed.

Cons: BAD FOR GAMING
Has terrible jitter and caused my ping to have huge spikes

Other Thoughts: I gave this a 5 out of 5 before but over time I realized how bad this was for gaming. Its cheap. I should of known.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great upgrade from my cisco usb adapter. Constant speeds, works great with online games

Cons: Didn't have enough money for anything with higher signals. My mobo's PCIe 1x slot is first generation, but it doesn't seem to hurt the quality from other people that have gotten it.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't relate to this product, but...
cant wait for haswell :P

1 out of 5 eggsDid not work out of box

Pros: None

Cons: Arrived defective

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to use in a spare computer and it did not work at all. It was not worth returning it, so I just accepted this as a loss.

1 out of 5 eggsSTAY AWAY!!

Pros: Low cost - and props to NewEgg. They sent me my second one when the first one DIDN'T WORK OUT OF THE BOX.

Cons: Terrible. The first one I installed in a new system I was building prevented it from booting. The second one went in an older PC with a working wireless card, and caused the system to slow to the speed of sludge. I mean like 3 minutes to open a text file. Last night I removed the card and uninstalled the Encore drivers - and voilà. System is humming away as it should be. Except now I don't have internet access... ah, the fun never stops.

Other Thoughts: TURN BACK! RUN AWAY AND PRETEND YOU NEVER SAW THIS PAGE!! I have to go buy ANOTHER wireless card now...

1 out of 5 eggsDegraded over time and is now worthless.

Pros: It worked fine for the first couple months.

Cons: After the first couple months it would no longer get good speeds. Everyday the speeds I get from this adapter very wildly. Although, even on a good day it isn't very good. I have been testing it recently and I get between 0.2Mbps and 8 Mbps. It rapidly changes between these speeds and rarely stays at the higher range. I am only about 30-40 feet away from my router. Laptops in my house that are about 100+ feet away from the router have no problem. I currently have a 6 year old laptop passing internet through via ethernet to my desktop and I am getting speeds of about 16-20Mbps. I can not stream videos at 720p with this adapter at all. When it is bad I can not stream youtube videos at 360p. I have updated the drivers, moved the antennae, and even changed the pci-e port that it is connected to. I reinstalled windows while using this adapter, but that had no effect. I have tried it with different routers and tethered to my phone, after about 20 feet speeds rapidly drop.

5 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Much better signal than my laptops stock card at the same distance. Great value for the price.

Cons: The antennas get in the way of graphics card ports, but not really much of an annoyance.

Other Thoughts: Had it in an old dell dimension for about 8 months, and it would occasionally have poor signal or no signal at all (would only do this every other month of pretty heavy use). Reseating the card fixed that. In my gaming rig, I haven't had any problems, so I'm not sure if the card is picky, or dell's motherboard was.
