1 out of 5 eggsCisco Valet m10 - terrible

Pros: Install was easy, looks nice

Cons: I bought the product in 2012, perhaps was slightly different model. After one year of working well (while under warranty), it started dropping connections very often and required frequent reboot. Two days ago it completely stopped working. Lights on 1-4 are all blinking at the same time, reset and reboot do not help. Support told me product/model is now out of warranty and need to be replaced with new one. After just two years?! Really!? My prior Linksys worked for 5 years without any issues, so I switched back to old one.

5 out of 5 eggsSetup easy and few problems

Pros: Setup is very easy - I followed the steps exactly and ten minutes later it had set everything up including the SSID and password so there was nothing for me to do

Strong signal - I live in an old house and it reaches from the basement to the third floor

Cons: Drops connection - this happens to me like once a month but i figure its my internet connection and not the modem. I have an old chord and it slips out sometimes.

Other Thoughts: I had a Belkin for a couple years and that thing was terrible. It was exrememly finicky and would drop the signal constantly. This router was like a breath of fresh air. I have essentially had no problems since i plugged it in.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Connection is fast and easy. With the included USB Setup Key, anyone (even your Grandma) can get connected. Great Android app for monitoring and adjusting all aspects of the router. Range seems just as good as my old N router which had antenas. Never loses connection or need to be rebooted.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Have owned this router for 8 months and it has been rock solid! I was a little scepticle after reading the reviews, but I have had zero problems. One thing I did do after reading some of the reviews about it running hot was to add some small rubber feet to the bottom to help air circulation.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple to use .No problems after a month

Pros: I needed a no hassle simple to set up wireless router to use in a two story home that was going to have up to 4 computers runnng at the same time. This router fits the bill perfectly.
I have seen only minor slow downs and only when we are all on line at the same time. Otherwise, no slow down at all.

Cons: Limited advanced options but as I stated I needed a SIMPLE, EASY, NO HASSLE router. So to me this isn't a problem.

1 out of 5 eggsValet M10

Pros: If you like to spend alot of time resolving connection problems, this router is the one for you. I actually had to reconnect before I started "trying" to rate this paper weight.

Cons: I've been dealing with this hunk of garbage for over a year. Ordered a new router last night. If I bypass the router and plug directly from modem to PC I'm at 50+ mbps. Using Valet I'm at 4.9 mbps. Called Cisco and they told me that this was normal for all routers. They said that for $29.99 they would update the firmware which I've already updated to current version. Which leads me to ask, "why update the firmware if such incredible data speed loss is normal?". If the wired loss isn't bad enough, and the wireless drops aren't enough, then the terrible tech support should be enough to convince anybody to stay away from this product and this company.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to try to give this zero eggs. If you see an egg, I didn't want to!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: customer service is so good. router itself is perfect after update firmware. Better than many other routers I have used. more stable and stronger signal. I have compared 3 routers at same distance, this one is the best.

Cons: Need to update firmware, the little usb key is useless

Other Thoughts: It drops after a while using. called customer service, helped me update firmware, and told me that i do not need to use the USB key anymore......

after call, its been very stable for a year.

4 out of 5 eggsCisco Valet

Pros: Easy to set up. I have not had any issues so far as other reviews have suggested. Videos run flawlessly. I always have two laptops running at the same time and both are able to surf the web with no freeze-ups or disconnects.

Cons: It would be impossible to set up if the USB dongle were lost. I have been unable to connect to the interface via IP address so the dongle is locked up in my safe so it won't get lost.

1 out of 5 eggsBuy Netgear instead

Pros: Your kidding right?

Cons: They charge money for this thing.

Other Thoughts: Ok, so here's the deal. I'm a network admin/computer tech by trade, have worked on pc's for 10 years, mac, etc. Long story short on this router, got it installed, setup seemed easy enough, but seemed flaky with my cable modem. Called ISP for support, got it running. Router now connects, but sometimes when you are online, the router loses internet connection, or at least your pc does. Have to either wait or do network diagnostics in Windows to get back online, works for a while, then same.

I updated the firmware which seemed to help, but still happens at times, which for a router that is originally $100 bucks is not acceptable. At work we also just threw away a Cisco router in favor of a different one.

So for me, This router is going back, didn't get it from the egg though. Most likely will come to newegg later for a netgear. However this Cisco is going back to the store, and my faithful old netgear G router that is now about 3 years old is being pushed into service ag

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Surprisingly stable

Cons: Expensive, no Gigabit Ethernet

Other Thoughts: In a house full of wireless devices, this thing can keep going. 5 Android phones, 4 laptops, an iPod, an iPad, 2 desktops, 2 servers, a printer, and a WRT54G (DD-WRT) access point all connect to this router at some point during the day. Current uptime is 23 days, 14 hours.
