4 out of 5 eggsWorks pretty Well

This review is from: ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI Express 300/300Mbps Transfer/Receive Rate 64-bit WEP, 128-bit WEP, WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK, WPS support

Pros: easy install
seems to work out of box

Cons: Utility doesn't work with Windows 8.1 as far as I can tell
I believe it has a RealTek chipset so you need to go to them for FW updates.

Other Thoughts: Asus website and support seems to be pretty lousy on this product. After doing some googling, I found that it has a RealTek chipset and the RTL8192CE-VA4 drivers seem to work okay...for me anyway. There doesn't seem to be too much support for Windows 8.1

It's working well so far, I'm getting 70Mbps through a wall and up a floor. My wired connection speed is ~130Mbps, and 70 is about the fastest I've been able to get in my current location so I'm pretty happy.

2 out of 5 eggsWas great... while it lasted.

This review is from: ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI Express 300/300Mbps Transfer/Receive Rate 64-bit WEP, 128-bit WEP, WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK, WPS support

Pros: Easy install, both hardware and software. Got everything up and running fast.

Cons: Within a week or so, my computer started freezing up every hour or so. Thinking it was the router, I poured through forms and driver updates trying to make something work. My tower has fantastic airflow, but it seems the router was overheating under light load. I bought a larger card with better heat dissipation; after the switch, my computer hasn't frozen since. Hearing bad things about ASUS support, I'm not going to even bother.

Other Thoughts: Unless you plan on liquid cooling your wireless card (what/why???), I wouldn't recommend this.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's supposed to with no hassle.

This review is from: ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI Express 300/300Mbps Transfer/Receive Rate 64-bit WEP, 128-bit WEP, WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK, WPS support

Pros: -Very affordable
-Easy installation

Cons: -Not "plug-n-surf" as advertised
-Mildly annoying network list pop up

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my work's guest computer and the only issue I've come across is this network list pop up that appears everytime a guest logs on. I havent found a way to disable it yet. Other than that it's a good product worth the pocket change.

I'll probably be using this on my X99 build.

1 out of 5 eggsThis was a horrible mistake

This review is from: ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI Express 300/300Mbps Transfer/Receive Rate 64-bit WEP, 128-bit WEP, WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK, WPS support

Pros: Good enough range

Cons: Immediate blue screens on a brand new computer. connection was fine for the first month or so. Then constant drops. Sometimes it would be connected, but giving no internet, and other times the signal would just disappear completely. I've tried reinstalling the drivers from the disk, and other newer drivers. Nothing got better for more than a few minutes. Getting less than 1/10th of my mbps.

Other Thoughts: If ASUS decides to send me a new one, I would agree to that. Maybe the one i got is faulty. But if the newer one is faulty too, I would want my money back. I'm willing to give them one more chance

1 out of 5 eggsCan't get it to work

This review is from: ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI Express 300/300Mbps Transfer/Receive Rate 64-bit WEP, 128-bit WEP, WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK, WPS support

Pros: None

Cons: I always build my own computers and consider myself an advanced tech person. I couldn't get this card to work with Windows 7 64bit. I tried many versions of the driver from the asus website and also from the chip manufacturer. I read lot of reviews were people were unable to get it to work in windows. sadly it is just paper weight now

Other Thoughts: This card is not compatible with Hackintosh build

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

This review is from: ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI Express 300/300Mbps Transfer/Receive Rate 64-bit WEP, 128-bit WEP, WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK, WPS support

Pros: Easy Install

Cons: This card worked perfectly for about a minute and a half and then it would freeze my entire computer. This is the only thing I've ever had on my computer that was such an issue. I highly recommend you buy a different card.
