5 out of 5 eggsCooks along nicely

Pros: Works as advertised on Windows XP and Win7 on older system (Single Core 64bit Athlon) Price is right, value is there. No need for long cable run down hallway into living room or under the house.

Cons: Zero for me.

Other Thoughts: Would not install in Ubuntu 11.04 or Xubuntu 11.04 automatically...however with Ubuntu Forum help I was able to manually install and worked perfectly afterward. They are well aware of this chipset and have graciously included in their database. AZIO Does NOT guarantee Linux functionality in its advertising or support, so can't take away an egg for that. I knew this in advance.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks great but then...

Pros: Worked alright at first

Cons: While playing games I've gotten extremely high latency spikes out of nowhere and it doesn't happen on any other system in my house. Lag can be bad enough to where I have no choice but to restart.

Other Thoughts: Save your money and get a better card.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck for a PCI adapter!

Pros: • Very easy to physically install.
• No problems with driver software with Vista/7.
• One less cable that I have to mess with.
• Runs like the proverbial Swiss watch.

Cons: Just one: why does the driver software have to be on a mini-CD? I have ginormous hands! Not enough of a gripe to deduct any eggs though.

Other Thoughts: I've purchased 2 of these so far, and I will be buying a third in the near future.

One went into my 7 year old son's computer to save the headache of running ~75 feet of cat6 through walls and through an attic; the other went into a computer that I built for a friend of mine's family. This computer is shared amongst Mom, Dad, and five kids aged 6 to 16. It's been in place and running since March 2011 24/7 with no known issues cropping up.

4 out of 5 eggsIt gets the job done.....

Pros: I caught this on sale for $21.99 with free shipping. It is a good adapter for the price..... Newegg rocks!!

Cons: 1. I had to replace the stock antennas.. I thinks its just some interference in that area of my house.

2. Only linked to my Netgear N600 router at 130 Mbps instead of 300Mbps (or at least something in the two hundreds....) (Read Other Thoughts below)

Other Thoughts: I purchases this adapter to replace the n150 in my wife's computer. The adapter works fine, the problem was reception..even with a high performance router, the stock 2 d Bi antennas just were not cutting it. I went out and purchased the Trendnet duo 7 d Bi antenna.....and BAM!! I'm getting 100% signal strength and link quality constantly!! Computer is used mostly for surfing the internet and school stuff, so the adapter works great now. The only other concern that I have... for whatever reason I don't know why its only linking to the router at 130 mbps...i understand the dates rates are UP TO 300, but when I first install this adapter I was at 270 mbps. After about a day it dropped to 130 mbps and remained there. But I'm not gonna dwell on it...the internet works great and its not slow to print over the network, so its no biggie...

3 out of 5 eggsOnly if you are really strapped for cash

Pros: The price is a major pro.
In addition to that, this card work very well for me for a little over a year with no real hiccups.

Cons: The card dies after a year or so. Mine lasted about two months or so after the one year mark before burning out. Within a day, the software indicator would show a weak signal immediately following the initial log-in to the OS (Win 7 professional 32-bit) and would then indicate no possible connections after everything was said and done.
Other wireless cards do work in the same PCI slot, and the card won't work in other motherboards

Other Thoughts: If you don't need a long term (i.e. 1+ year) wireless solution, i would actually recommend this card. It worked great for me before its quiet death.

4 out of 5 eggsFast But Range Could Be Better

Pros: Love the speed of 802.11n. Easy to install; worked right away with Windows 7 Home Premium without having to pull out the driver disc.

Cons: Range isn't all that great. Router is only about 20-25 feet away and I only got 4/5 bars on reception with no obstructions. Luckily, I had a larger antenna from an older Linksys adapter. Threw that on and it fixed that problem.

Other Thoughts: Installed on two computers. Second computer is about 15-20 feet from the router and gets 5/5 bars on reception with included antennas.

1 out of 5 eggsBad / blue screens windows 7

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Unstable conection. When playing games it will lag spike every 30 secs or so. It also is very slow.

I upgraded to windows 7 from xp and this card will give me the blue screen even with latest drivers and updates.

Other Thoughts: Seeing many positive reviews im thinking I got a lemon. Guess thats what i get for going cheap though.
