1 out of 5 eggsWhat a piece of sh!t...

Pros: None, it wouldn't configure out of the box.

Cons: All, it wouldn't configure out of the box.
Some of the pages were accessible and configured fine, others never loaded. Namely the Wifi page. Not being able to configure the wifi settings on an AP is quite a #$%^&*(!!!

Other Thoughts: Newegg should vet their products better.

1 out of 5 eggsTruly awful

Pros: It was free with a motorla cable modem

Cons: Doesn't work at all as a wifi router

Other Thoughts: What's the point of a wifi router that only works consistently as a wired router? Drops wifi connections every 5-10mins, even after running latest firmware. Reboot of device gets it working again for a few minutes. Changing the settings has no effect on reliability of uptime.
At least by being free I know I'll never by any On Networks gear.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap For a Reason

Pros: - Cheap
- Ethernet works fine, though only 100M
- Management Interface is pretty slick, but defaults to Spanish language. Getting it into English isn't very tough.
- I got it free with a deal on the Motorola 6141.

Cons: - Have to reboot every 30 minutes because it can't hold connection. Obvious deal-breaker.
- Can't be flashed with DD-WRT
- A little research points to the guts of it actually being refurbished or returned Netgear products that they repackage and resell. Blargh to that.

Other Thoughts: I got mine for free with a cable modem deal, so I'm not crying too much. Maybe sometime in the future I'll need a non-gigabit switch for something? I suppose it's worth keeping out of the trash just in case.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Inexpensive, fast shipping ( thanks Newegg ! ), simple setup, works well.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Internal antennas , so nothing to break off, lose, etc.
2.4 GHz only ( I have no 5 GHz devices , so I don't care ).

1 out of 5 eggsWireless malfunctions

Pros: - Very cheap router
- Ethernet works just as advertised
- Setup is clean and easy
- Router management interface is efficiently laid out and management is easy

Cons: I would absolutely love to give this router 5 stars but I cannot due to one critical problem it seems to have: the wireless functionality stops working after roughly half an hour to an hour of operation. It's inexplicable. I have tried configuring the router with various settings from channels, to transmission speed, to wave length, and none of them work. If the wireless worked just fine on this router I would absolutely give it 5 stars for everything it does so well, but unfortunately this is a problem that totally defeats the intended purpose of the device, so I give it a 1 star rating.

4 out of 5 eggsInteractive tech support no more?

Pros: Works as advertised. Easy installation. Has all the options any home users should need. Installed a new Motorola SB6141 modem to update to DOCSIS 3 higher cable speeds and used my very old Linksys router for a day. Saw that old router was limiting both wired and wireless connections. Installed N300R and speeds went new max for my service tier.

Cons: But with old router (or no router) I can reach the modems status pages. With this router I can't. On Networks website acknowledged my registration and said I have a year of phone support. No phone number to be found and website live chat not working.

Other Thoughts: This is a minor point but if you think you will need tech support look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsGood, inexpensive router

Pros: I needed a decent inexpensive router for a home lab and this fit the bill. Only $15 and easy to set up and use. No problems so far. Satisfied customer.

Cons: None so far, but I wasn't TRYING to find anything wrong.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Disapointed

Pros: Cheap
Easy to set up

Cons: The wireless stops working after about 30 mins and needs a power cycle to get it going again.
Have to pay the return postage which is about half the total price.

Other Thoughts: This is Netgear by another name.

5 out of 5 eggs5 eggs for the price

Pros: Easy setup

Cons: Limited range

Other Thoughts: My friend was complaining about her internet connection. That's like the bat signal for me so I jumped into troubleshooting mode. Working on a non-existent budget, I compared the reviews of the routers in the super low-end price range (got this for $15) and figured we had a decent chance of being one of the satisfied people. We are. I can't speak to the setup software if there was any because I never use it and just go straight to the GUI interface, which was mostly standard. Except there was nowhere to indicate your 802.11 preference, just a choice of 145mbps or 300mbps. Range is a little weak despite being a small house - but hey, $15 and she reports she's no longer got connectivity problems.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what we need.

Pros: Simple setup and reasonable defaults. Works like a charm in a small apartment. Decent range and good speed for the type. Setup very easy. Very inexpensive.

Cons: Not dual band.

Other Thoughts: Needed to expand wireless closer to center of apartement due to interference of other FIOS routers. Had one cable run to center of apartement from where Verizon had installed the service router. Set this router up, shut off RF on the FIOS router and WiFi reaches the length of the apartment now without issue.
