5 out of 5 eggsFinally getting the advertised speed!

Pros: - Definately working as desired, went from 35/38 to 50/40MBPS. My provider (FiOS) claims to be giving 50/25. No complaints here!
- Cheap, or rather WORTH IT. $13 to get the other 1/3 of your $150 fios plan? Seriously, is there even a decision there?
- Great range. On a cheap Netis (WF-2113) adapter, and being 2 floors up (D-link wireless AC router is in basement, i'm on 2nd floor) I am getting a reliable 5-bar connection at 144mbps (due to the adapter, the router goes much higher).

Cons: - Large. On a HAF912 this thing extends a good 3 inches above the top. But on the other hand, is it ever a bad thing to have a large antenna for everyone to see?
- Packaging is the usual plastic with the extremely difficult to open edges. Make sure you have a sturdy pair of scissors to open this...

Other Thoughts: Unrelated to the product, but NewEgg's shipping is fantastic. Even with free shipping the item was at my doorsetp at noon on Monday, after being ordered on Saturday. I also picked up a Kill-A-Watt meter and despite being separate orders several hours apart, they shipped in the same box.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty much a 10dbm boost, Works great on my Clear 4G modem and TP link WDR4800

Pros: A most excellent boost in signal strength in the @. 2.4 and 2.5 Ghz frequency. My Clear 4G Hub Express increased signal strength with a 11 dbm gain, giving me a CINR of 8 to 16... Using inSSDer,, my 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks increased by about 10dbm and modest boost @ 5 Ghz. through several insulated walls

Cons: Not really a con, but Its heavy, and about a foot tall, so it can get in the way

Other Thoughts: Remember!!!!! In signal strength, -40 is better than -80 dbm

Here are the tech specs:
Clear modem 1mile from tower with 5dbm internal -88dbm CINR 8
With RNX A8 +8dbm = -77dbm CINR 16

Connections with Dual band Router Belkin N450 @ 35ft and 4 wall barriers

TPlinkTLWDR4800 3dbm @ 2.4 Ghz =-68dbm @ 5GHz -80dbm
TLWDR4800 with RNX 8 antennas @2.4G =58dbm, @5G=-73 dbm

Would definately buy this again, Have a Trend TEW A1770B with dual 7dbm antennas i used previously, and these Rosewills @ 8 dbm are far superior.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Absolutely NONE

Cons: Replaced a 3dbi antenna on my dd-wrt router with this 8dbi antenna. Adjusted the dbi gain on the router as well.

The reception on both of my wireless devices actually got worse! One went from 55dbi to 60dbi and the other from 71dbi to 75dbi.

I tried adjusting the antenna on all different angles and couldn't even match the signal from the 3dbi antenna.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money

4 out of 5 eggsThey work, but.....

Pros: They work as advertised. Used these in a project a couple of years ago that needed distance and they give it to you.

Cons: The barrel end is very large. Most newer routers and APs have recessed SMA connectors. Without modifications, these antennas either will not connect or make poor connection, resulting in poor signal quality. An SMA coupler should be included in the package.

3 out of 5 eggsLOOKS BIG!

Pros: Didn't gain any distance on my verizon fios Antec router. Didn't lose any either. Not sure did I get extra bars.... If I gain its might be one.

However, this baby is huge compare to my OEM one. It might not have great performance gain but its looks cool.

Cons: none- just buy it for size!

Other Thoughts: didn't notice any rathing or noise when shaked - like other reviewer got.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work...

Pros: not really any

Cons: I got this and tested this against the factory antennas on the WHR-HP-G300N. No matter how I tuned the router, these antennas always performed worse than the factory antennas, which were only a few inches tall and rated at 5 dbi. RMA

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Affordable. Magnetic base lets you move them for best reception.

Cons: A foot long. Looks like I have a ham radio connected to my computer.

Other Thoughts: I use this with an extension cable to move it to the top of my desk. Gained a substancial 25% boost in my signal strength. I'm guessing more because of the location change than the actual antennas.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Works great! I received a noticeable difference in signal strength when I used this. Previously I was getting a Poor/Good signal strength and now I don't move below Excellent.

Cons: Large, but this isn't really a con I guess. Just be sure you understand it's 12" long.
