Cons: First, why so little documentation?
Within 3 hours of deleting bloat and downloading Firefox + basic protection software, I was getting blue screen failures. Still diagnosing the cause, but I suspect driver corruption or an interrupted Windows update. I've had to experiment in safe mode for two days, find time between school obligations, to isolate the issue.
Other Thoughts: Track pad is not a problem with the toggle on/off option. I may resolve the issues soon enough, but I had only begun tweaking the machine when blue screen failures appeared. Extraction of the driver zip files is causing some problems as well. May turn out fine, but I'm too busy for system failures out of the box.

Pros: Purchased this on sale at the end of Oct. for a Christmas present for my daughter. Turned it on when it arrived, and set it up for internet access at my home, and again at her Mother's home. The week before Christmas, I turned it on again to burn recovery disks, and the screen was filled with static, dual icons, and all were jumping. Spent the next couple of hours with Acer tech support, at which time he tried to convice me it was a problem with the hard drive, and that I would have to send it to Acer. Next morning, I spent at least an hour typing back and forth with customer support at Newegg. Yes, I knew I was past the 30 day warranty period from purchase, but after being transferred to Becky, within a few minutes, I was sent an RMA right away. The laptop was inspected, was toast, and I was sent a new one asap. I have purchased much from Newegg in the past, and have nothing but praise for them, especially since this purchase, and not having to deal with Acer Service.
Cons: Not a problem with the hard drive as told to me by Acer Tech Support. Rebooted a number of times with Acer Tech, and each time windows 7 came up, but the monitor display continued to be static, jumping, and double icons. BOO to Acer Support!!!
Other Thoughts: Upon receiving the second laptop, I burned the disks, and had to send it to my daughter that had returned to FL. It is an awesome laptop for the dollar, and I have never had a problem with Acer laptops, of which I have purchased many, and recommended to many who have also had no problems. I will continue to recommend Acer, but hope their service will improve. Thanks again to Newegg, and Becky, you are truly top notch!!!

Pros: Very nice notebook, has all up-to date features including win 7 which works very good on this machine. Fast and very nice graphics, sound is decent. Thanks Newegg and UPS for fast delivery.
Cons: Some bloatware, but not as much as some other manufacturers. Nice blue cover shows fingerprints.
