5 out of 5 eggsAmazing laptop

Pros: Decent price for decent hardware. Plays most games without too much issue. I managed to get Bulletstorm running(on lowest settings) minor hiccups at some of the graphic intensive parts.
Battery life is great compared to what I've seen for most.
Always loved Acer monitors, now I love Acer laptops as well. Great, durable brand.
Keyboard looks neat.
Case isn't that silly shiny surface that gets all smudged.

Cons: Said keyboard has a slight issue. Keys are generally easy to put on if snapped off, but sometimes there can be an issue so that they're an absolute pain in the rear. My N key is only half suspended, making it difficult to press at times. This problem is mostly caused by user error.
Can get fairly warm if you're holding it on your lap in a way so the vents are covered a bit while playing a stressful game.

Other Thoughts: Incredible buy. Unfortunate that it's out of stock.

5 out of 5 eggsNicely Done

Pros: Got this for my girlfriend and she loves it. Goes everywhere with her. Games, internet, music, and picture library, she uses it for it all. Especially now that she know how to connect using the wireless.

Cons: Although not a con for me, the speakers are a little tinny. Got an external system and it rocks.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Budget Gaming / School Laptop

Pros: This thing has been nothing short of Amazing for me. I go to school, but would like to game on my laptop as well.

This does it ALL and with warranty was under $700 on sale!
Love it.
Plays WoW, LoL, Bad Company 2, and many others with great settings!

Also it was light weight enough to carry around for class. I'm a college kid so for the money this was THE best i could find, i reviewed and searched for a long while to find the perfect deal, and this was it.

Gets a little warm when gaming but what laptop doesnt, i jsut grabbed a cooling pad and its fixed.

Was expecting a lot hotter with the AMD but they come shining through with great temps,

Cons: -Speaker placement in by the LCD so doesnt get too loud.
-Battery could be better, but still great life.

Other Thoughts: I have already pointed a ton of classmates to this laptop.

5 out of 5 eggsBig surprise in a small package

Pros: Solid, well built. Clear, vivid screen. Handles games well. Instantly loads programs even when several are already running. Windows 7 is far better OS than XP, in my opinion.

Fantastic price for all these standard features.

Cons: Haven't found any yet.

Other Thoughts: Memory is upgradable although I don't yet see any need to do that. Plenty fast enough.

I've already been recommending this to work associates. I really love this notebook; my desktop hasn't been used since the notebook arrived.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop

Pros: I really like this laptop a lot and it is slowly becoming my favorite. I have had very good luck with Acer laptops and this one just fits its standard. This laptop runs really well. I can even play all my games on here and get a great fps rate. The HD LED LCD is great for games as well as watching movies. I can't say too much about this laptop other than its really awesome!

Cons: I wasn't too happy to see that there is no volume control on the computer itself and can be only changed within the volume settings on the taskbar or by using the function keys. This is not really a huge issue as I became used to using the function keys.

There are also no indication lights for Caps Lock, Number Lock ect. The way it is identified is on the desktop itself by showing an animation. This animation doesn't show in games and some other applications. Not a huge deal.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so great

Pros: The processor was faster than I expected. It scored like a 6.7 in windows experience. That is faster than my core2duo. I got this for my sister and it felt quality. The keyboard was more tactile than expected and felt solid. Dedicated graphics are good for the price. Will outperform anything integrated. About the equivalent of an ATI X-800 or NVidia GEforce 7800GSO. These were top of the line 3-4 years ago.... For the pricepoint, this is good for a laptop.

Cons: I don't get to keep it.... The screen seems to be anamorphic widescreen, which I wasn't expecting, but it is great for movies.

Other Thoughts: Full of programs you don't need. You will want to take some time to uninstall some bloatware. The plus side is that you may get software you might not have wanted, but they are nice to have.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Laptop

Pros: This laptop is good, I use it for photoshop and playing MMOs it does not lag and cools down very good. It does not get hot like my older laptop even when playing City of Heroes. Its really good laptop for the bang. Of course I did upgrade the ram from 4 to 8 so yea...

Cons: The only bad thing I can say it the Ethernet jack, it does not always connect to the internet, at first I thought it was the computer shutting it off but turning off that feature did not help. I would need to disable then enable it to get it to work in device manager window. The wireless works but even when I am close to my router it lags the game a little.

Other Thoughts: I brought the laptop when it was 619 >< I should of waited >< but it is a good laptop the keyboard and mouse gets a little getting use to and I did upgrade ram but that is what I wanted.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding general notebook

Pros: Great LED screen. Capable of playing most modern games on a moderate graphics setting, really good for a low-level ATi card, beats the basic intel chip by miles. Keyboard is average-good, numpad is really nice to have for excel/numbers crunching. Case is sturdy, textured top was a pleasant surprise. HDMI port allows for 2nd monitor or television. 320Gb more than enough for school documents + games and music. Webcam/mic is average. SD card slot great for photography! Entire notebook surprisingly lightweight for the amount of computing power it provides. Thin design easily slides into narrow backpack pockets/bookbags. REALLY quiet, have yet to actually hear the thing make much noise at all, even with the fan running.

Cons: Glossy border around screen, easily smudged and looks pretty nasty in direct sunlight. Keys leave smudge imprint on glossy screen, only noticeable in direct sunlight or with the monitor off. Battery life is okay, about 2.5-3 hours on standard power drain. Can probably squeeze it out to 3.5 if you tweak the settings.

Other Thoughts: One of the best notebooks for the price. Previous laptop was an Alienware, this thing actually outperforms it and at a 3rd of the cost. Really great notebook for college students looking for gaming/productivity notebook that performs well on newer games.
