4 out of 5 eggsGreat for what it is.

Pros: First it is extremely portable. I use it as a daily note taker for college, it fits in my backpack easily and holds a charge from my first class at 8 am till my last at 3 pm. Key board has nice feel, the back lite feature was also a plus for late night browsing. Touch screen works fairly well and it kinda grows on you after awhile. The 256 GB SSD is screaming fast and boot up's are almost instant even though it is more or less just booting from a sleep mode. Carbon fiber keeps the weight down and makes it look very stylish, I get compliments all the time saying how much they like the look. Screen is also crystal clear and looks beautiful.

Cons: This laptop like every other has it's fair share of cons. The carbon fiber scratches fairly easily. I keep my microfiber cloth with me and the laptop stays in a case most of the day and I still find new scratches constantly. Another HUGE annoyance is the coil wine. I am not usually a person to complain about noise but my goodness this thing has some of the worst coil wine I've ever heard. It even changes tone when using the touch screen, for that I defiantly could not give it 5 stars. Also boot up's sometimes do not work from sleep mode, the screen stays black and is a huge annoyance. Personally for me I'm not a fan of Windows 8 so I had to download (start is back) otherwise I would have went insane. Often too I find myself changing screens when just trying to scroll down a page using the track pad. Also do not even think of using this thing if there's even the slightest chance of sun light, the screen glares so much it's almost impossible to use.

Other Thoughts: Compared to a few other ultrabooks I've tried I'd still honestly pick this up. The pros outway the cons and for me most of them were just minor things that I find annoying. If your in the market and don't mind spending a decent buck this ultrabook is something to really look into.

Pros: Super light and fast, startup is similar to wake from sleep on older laptops.

Cons: Very buggy! I've gotten the BSOD 3 or 4 times a day since my second week of owning the laptop, often losing important work done in between saves. Does not wake from sleep well and will often restart without being prompted. I flashed the BIOS but am still getting BSOD often. Tried to return to Sony and Newegg without success because I used the UPCs for the mail in rebate a week after opening the computer. I'm very disappointed. Could just be the unit I received but I would wait to use the mail in rebate until your sure you dont have a dud. I'm still within the 30 day window and cant do anything save sending it to Sony in Texas for repairs.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Kit

Pros: Extremely thin and light laptop. This model has 8GB of RAM and a larger SSD so you don't run into major bottlenecks when running virtual machines. The screen looks great, and it's way too thin to be touch. The carbon makes it surprisingly light to pick up, and although it does have some give (in comparison to metal latops), it's not something I mind.

Cons: Not the most comfortable machine to use on your lap. The bottom ridge of the screen has two 'feet' which prop up the main body of the machine when it's being used on a flat surface. But if you're using the machine on your lap, these feet can start to feel like needles digging into your legs. I'm able to keep my knees together to avoid getting stuck too often, but it does make prolonged use on your lap less enjoyable. Trackpad is a little jumpy, but that may just be a learning curve I need to get up.

Other Thoughts: i re-installed Windows 8 when i first got it as there was a lot of bloatware on the system, and I just love it now. Really fast, and really easy on the eyes.
