A Sony Vaio T series ultrabook offers increased storage capacity and performance speeds. The notebooks from this line feature 500GB of space on their hard drives and an additional 32GB on the solid state drives. Both processors run on Intel's "Rapid Start Technology," so content can be accessed almost instantly. The computers require less than 30 seconds to boot from powerless states and only 3 seconds from sleep mode.

The Vaio T ultrabook line has also been optimized for video conferencing. These notebooks feature cameras that can capture 1,280 x 1,024 pixel video and photographs. The webcams compensate for light saturation so every image is clear. Arcsoft Webcam Companion 4 and Skype are pre-installed on the ultrabooks, and can be opened from the Vaio Gate menu.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Boots Fast

Cons: Trackpad is terrible. Keyboard is terrible. Sony offered a $100 rebate and by the time I got the laptop and mailed it in they claimed I had missed the deadline by a few days. It now has a fried video card and I have to ship it back. Some ultrabook. This product is a lemon, stay away.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk

Pros: Light weight

Cons: Other than being light weight, Sony Vaio is a piece of garbage. Right out of the box the laptop had nothing but problems. I am a long term Dell user and decided to give Sony a chance, and boy I am regretting my decision. Further, Sony support is horrible. They sent me a broken piece and when I sent it back for repairs, they put the blame on me.

Other Thoughts: If you must buy Sony, buy lots of paper as well as you will be back to working using your pen or pencil.

Sony refused to repair the laptop under the warranty claiming that I damaged the equipment. They wanted to charge me $475 to fix it. I told them to ship it back. I will use it as a target practice and upload the video to Youtube.

2 out of 5 eggsscreen malfunction

Pros: -light weight
-slim
-boots fast

Cons: -over heating

Other Thoughts: After using for around one month the screen started giving trouble. There is horizontal dead pixel line in middle of the screen and it goes blank for no reason.

Seems like there is hardware issue. Will be talking to Newegg for replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect laptop for a student on the go

Pros: -Slim enough to fit in a large purse or small backpack; for a Student like me that commute portability is important!
-Speakers are loud enough that you can hear them over other background noise.
-Boots up in less than a minute; much faster then my old ACER.
- Charger is not heavy and portable like the computer
-Large keyboard

Cons: I don't have cons about it.

1 out of 5 eggsScreen Malfunction

Pros: The computer ran great for the 2 hours I was able to use it. Light-weight and low-cost.

Cons: So after the 2 hours of run time that consisted of surfing the web and installing Microsoft Office, the screen fuzzed out like an old TV losing reception. I don't know if its a wide-spread bug, but be warned. Thanks Sony, I'm still waiting on the phone to replace my Vaio because Newegg refuses to replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsSony Vaio T Series

Pros: Sleek looking ultrabook with a i5 ivybridge processor. This thing is quick and affordable. Great sound quality. Sony T series has a great feel to it unlike a lot of the other laptops/ultrabooks out there.

Cons: Low Screen Screen Resolution.

Other Thoughts: Bought from Sony.com and got the free PSP Vita with it.
