1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Product

Pros: Plays blu-rays. Looks great when not powered on.

Cons: Blue "Scream" of Death consistently. Returned to Samsung 3x for repairs. Still experiencing the exact same error as I experienced originally. I don't own "OFIICE" 2010, but I do own MS Office and the problem does not seem to be related to that program. The only thing "Fasther" about this computer is its path toward dumpsterdom. I can't even compliment Samsung on their customer service because they have failed to resolve my issue after 3 attempts. Now Samsung is sending me a new or "comparable" replacement so now I am stuck with having spent a lot of money on an efffective paperweight that I will be getting an exact copy of except with a warranty reduced by the time I wasn't able to use the product because it is broken.

Other Thoughts: "Spent" your money elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsADVICE

Pros: I'm using this computer since sept until nov , My Microsoft OFIICE is version 2010 and works perfect!

ITS Fasther processor and the upgrading are working good!

No damages happens , nothing about blue scream !
Still works faster

Cons: Just the battery life is short!

Other Thoughts: IF you want to spent money by another brand !

But don't say that the product it is the worst , I totally disagree with my friend that post before..

1 out of 5 eggsContinued Epic Fail

Pros: Looks good on paper.

Samsung's warranty service was quick, if not effective.

Cons: Does not play well with Microsoft Office 2007. After installing and updating this software, the computer will consistently blue screen. I use the same software on the same OS on several other computers with no issues.
Samsung's website for service is extremely buggy and I always end up having to call them to get anything accomplished.
This computer has been sent out for warranty service once and is going back a second time. I have little faith that this trip will improve the performance or issue in the least.

Other Thoughts: Samsung vet's the reviews on its website and has yet to publish the review I left there more than one month ago. Always go with Newegg when researching product reliability.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice upgrade

Pros: First off Blu-ray. Excellent processor and Operating System. E-SATA port(very helpful to transfer quickly from desktop to laptop and back). HDMI output, which is great when I'm on the road and the hotel has a big screen HDTV. Stand alone video card. Soo many more things to mention.

Cons: Yes, the battery life. But that is about it.

Other Thoughts: I got this in a pinch last May when I was going to go to Korea for about a month and a half. So, I didn't have much time but I knew what I wanted in a new laptop. I knew what I wanted to spend. Sorry Newegg didn't have these or ones for a similar price. Ended up getting it at B-B(sorry, once again). But would have purchased from you in a heartbeat.

Anyway, I'm very pleased with the laptop. If you are going to use it for movies, internet and/or gaming get the i-5. The i-3 is good but the i-5 is much better(tried them both out at the store) plus it wasn't a whole lot more than the i-3. The Blu-ray is awesome in a laptop under 1000. Plus E-SATA helps out a lot. I have never had an easier time transfering information between my desktop and laptop.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Laptop Choice

Pros: -Quite speedy; the i5 processor definitely helps things move briskly
-Respectable graphics; works great for streaming video on the internet with virtually no hiccups, even when multi-tasking (I haven't really tested it with computer games though)
-Substantial hard drive for additional partitions and media storage
-Touchpad with multitouch capabilities (after updating from a six year old Dell laptop, I'm already wondering how I lived without the convenience of a multitouch pad)

Cons: -In order to keep the laptop light, the battery is pretty small for the powerful processor and dedicated graphics...I only get about two hours tops unless I go to serious lengths to eke out battery life (dropping screen brightness to very low levels, turning off speakers, using the battery saving mode of the internal software)
-While the overall design looks good, and certainly a little classier than the standard colored plastic of most laptops, it sometimes feels like it should be a bit sturdier
-Some bloatware; most of it is at least a little useful, but if you want nothing but the programs you choose on the laptop, you're gonna have to clean off the computer and re-install Windows

Other Thoughts: Definitely happy with my laptop purchase; got it through Newegg's sale price and with no tax and no shipping, it was a no-brainer. While the battery life may not give this laptop a lot of mobility, it certainly gets enough. And when you look at this price with a core i5 processor, a bluray drive, and a dedicated graphics card, it's definitely a good buy for this price range.
