Great for Personal PC, not for Business
- Pros: Nice multimedia laptop. Runs fast even with Vista and has decent battery life considering the screen size
- Cons: DO NOT DOWN GRADE TO XP! I attempted to install XP and could not find 90% of the drivers even after contacting HP and the hardware manufacteur.
good computer
- Pros: Its a great comp. Looks good, runs pretty cool, quite. Its pretty fast once you clear off all the junk hp puts on here. I really like the touch sensitive quick buttons, and the some of the features that hp puts on here are pretty good. The webcam is really clear and the microphone picks up everything, even stuff you dont want it to pick up.
- Cons: took me about an hour or so just to clean up all the junk that was on here. it might have been faster to just install a fresh copy of vista and then just add whatever features i want. other than that nothing is wrong with it.
- Other Thoughts: Overall good computer. Not the best for the money, but it is worth it. I got the two year accidental drop protection warranty with mine to. But i like it, so i think it is worth buying.

Great Buy for the $$$$
- Pros: Between RAM, Storage, and media capabilities, this notebook is a steal! For the average, PC user and business person, this notebook is a great buy that should satisfy your computer needs for years to come.
- Cons: I actually bought this computer for a friend. It is her first computer. So far in less than a week I have had to reset the battery twice. What happens is while the system is booting, it locks up and bios has to be reset. Another issue is the OS system requirements. Don't plan on doing any extensive work on this machine without an electric outlet handy. Just browsing online, it shut down within thirty minutes after an eight hour charge.
- Other Thoughts: With the card reader, and the included remote, my only other desire for this machine would be a blueray drive for movies, but as it stands, it is a strong price point considering it's competition.
Excellent Purchase
- Pros: This laptop serves both my personal and business needs well so far. The screen is amazing and it is relatively lightweight. The angles of the machine are appealing and the speed is lightening fast. I even like the side power port: the cord doesn't get bent like my old laptop. I also like the recessed track pad, your thumb doesn't drag on it like other models tend to.
- Cons: Not sure about the video card since I'm not a gamer...it's good enough for movies and online video sites, so it's good enough for me.
- Other Thoughts: I wouldn't want the screen to be any bigger, actually. 17" is perfect. It's big enough to work on a double-page yearbook spread, and just the right size to sit on your lap. Any bigger, and you wouldn't be able to put it on your lap comfortably.
pretty good
- Pros: This is a very good laptop. The 17 inch screen is awesome. I bought this laptop for developing software and it has worked great for that. I also installed stronghold 2 and that plays just fine.
- Cons: the charger port on the side was a bad choice. They also put the headset jack in the front. You almost cant have anything plugged in when you have it on your lap. The laptop comes loaded with junkware and they don't give you any restore disks. You can create them though.
- Other Thoughts: For the money, this is the best value that I could find. Don't expect this laptop to perform like an alienware or asus gaming machine and you won't be dissappointed.
